I don’t do that well with scary stuff. I don’t watch horror movies, I don’t go to haunted houses, and I don’t play horror games. Well...for the most part. There is one horror game series that I’ve always liked: Five Nights At Freddy’s. It’s unique, colorful, and way deeper than you initially expect. And over the years, I’ve had a pretty interesting history with this series. So from my days working on Game Theory to...whatever I’m doing now, these are some Confessions Of A Five Nights At Freddy’s Fan!

Fun Fact: That shot where Bonnie is staring directly at the camera is actually some sort of throwback to one of Scott's nightmare when making the game. He said that he had a nightmare where he was defending himself against Bonnie. Just a little fact.
My god, I forgot about that frame. Can’t blame Scott, actual nightmare fuel.

While its true that he did have nightmares of Bonnie. I do believe that the camera frame, and secret boot up screen are references to the first placeholders jumps care for Bonnie. Which was just a static close up.
I may be wrong, and you may be right, but I do believe I heard what I previously mentioned quite a few times.

Fun fact: When FNAF Help Wanted VR came out, I bought it to try with my new Oculus Rift S, Night 3 of the first game Foxy ran in the room, and I freaked out and ran into my wall. I busted my head open, and needed 4 staples in my head. I never booted it up since. Not because I am afraid of the game, but because I am afraid of going back to the ER

@@dollydash7361 True, Fnaf 4 is really creepy. Although some of the animatronics like Plushtrap and Nightmare aren't that scary because Nightmare doesn't really have a jumpscare, and Plushtrap looks kinda dumb, the rest are really creepy looking and have scary jumpscares.

Laughter can be a reaction people have to being scared, after they're safe from the stress of being in a scary situation (even in games) they might have a laugh a little bit to relieve their stress.
Probably because he's been exposed to the fnaf 4, vr, and sister location jump scares which are actually legitimately scary so going back to googly eyes wobbling and stiff animations actually makes them look hilarious by comparison now

I’m always sad that FNAF is viewed as a kids’ game, all because of its fanbase. I still love it, and think the series has improved an incredible amount since it began.

Admittedly, I'm in the exact same boat, I've seen tons of lets plays, done my deep diving into the lore, but when I tried playing FNAF 1 on mobile, I chickened out. I still get caught off guard on occasion if i'm absent minded-ly listening to a play-through in the background, the noises, they get to me sometimes.

I've done something really similar. I basically haven't played ANY of the games except for a little bit of 2.
My cousin and I would trade off the ipad when ever one of us died. We also made a rule that if you caught the puppet in the act of leaving the box you got an 'extra life'; not really sure where that came from.
For anyone wondering, yes we did eventually catch the puppet in the act of leaving the music box.

I don’t know what anyone is talking about when they say the FNaF 3 Springtrap jumpscare is underwhelming. Honestly, try staring Springtrap in the face for five seconds and tell me you’re not scared for your life. Then again maybe that’s just his design and the fact there’s a murderer possessing him instead of an innocent child.
I mean I see why people think his jumpscare is kinda weak but his design helps A LOT in making it scarier. no idea why people would think that is a valid reason to not like the game tho. If there is something about fnaf 3 that I don't like, is the fact that the only animatronics that are added through the nights are just phantoms, the game gets repetitive. well, I'm glad Scott tried to switch his game at least, too bad it didn't work.
Ah yeah, Springtrap is the one animatronic that's scares me to the core for some reason.

One time when I was watching Game Theory's FNaF3 video and there was the jumpscare with Springtrap I just FROZE for 5 seconds because it was scary!

And I agree with you saying that there are so many things to keep an eye on, I still remember Markiplier still checking outside the doors because he was too scared of Springtrap just.. you know... being there. While the game still has its flaws I think it got too much hate for stupid reasons but hey, that's just my opinion. Gotta love Springtrap's backstory tho.

FNAF will always have a special place in my heart as I couldn’t stand anything horror until I began seeing videos of it. I mean I was still scared as heck at first and could cover my eyes when I expected to be scared, but as time went on I managed to get more entertained by it than terrified and it’s helped me begin watching horror movies and other scary games.
Fnaf pizzeria sim is my fav main game, cause that was the first one where I was actively in the fandom when it came out. The emotions I had watching Mat's livestream were insane. Also the humor is on point. My real fav is FNAF World.
when i was a kid and i knew fnaf i was scared of circus baby the most because of the scooper and the moving face plates it just really terrifies me but now it’s not that scary anymore.

I have a lot of childhood nostalgia from FNaF, I discovered the series during the release of FNaF 3, and I was instantly hooked. So I stuck with the series until after Pizzeria Simulator, after that I was kinda done with the series until this year when FNaF suddenly appeared in memes and I was so confused yet happy. But my problem with the series is that it just kept dragging on and on with the same milked to death idea for seemingly every game, and whenever they tried to change the formula, I just kinda forget the game existed, but like most, the reason why I kept coming back to these games was because of its complicated yet satisfying lore. Please note these are the only ones with the screaming sound effect from the original game in the video.
There are many other times where the animatronic just shows up on screen when Fofee (sp?) is talking over them so I suggest just treading lightly if that is enough to freak you out.
I've also never actually played fnaf (except night one and two of sister location) but I really love the lore, gameplay and books. I've spend hours watching theories and making my own, fnaf is truely the best thing people have created. ever.
I relate to this so much. I love horror movies and I love the lore of these games, but I am a huge wuss when it comes to playing horror games.

The reasons I love fnaf but have never played it:
#1: Markiplier is entertaining enough so I can watch him play instead
#2: I’m deathly afraid of it and cannot handle that stress
#3. My house is too loud so I can’t focus on audio cues which the game was built upon
Can I just say that your videos are my go-to for whenever I have a panic attack or anxiety attack? You would just ramble on and on about whatever the video is about, fueling my brain with food for thought, and gets me to stop thinking about whatever is making me upset. =)
Here’s a tip, just watch the cameras when you have to.
Edit: guess I wasn’t very clear, the lights are all you need necessarily, cameras are just to make you feel in control.
