As someone who grew up in the 80s, a parent sneaking their kids with them to the building they have to work on overnight (maids, plumbers, that kinda thing) because there was no one available to watch them was actually really common. Among very poor people, mostly single mothers, not usually middle-class white dudes. Of course, Mike's probably very new to being a parent, so there's that.
To the replies saying that she's his sister, not his daughter, sometimes older siblings have to also be a parent. As an older sister who has taken on the role of second parent to my younger sister, I really feel for Mike here. We at least still have a Mom. Mike has to take complete responsibility as a single parent to his little sister because they don't have anybody else. Like Nami and Lilo, they are all they have left. Even if they aren't biologically parent and child, that becomes an aspect of the relationship.
I agree. It's very likely from that one clip of a woman on a living room floor that Mike and Abby's parents are dead, leaving Mike as the legal guardian for his sister because he's of adult age. And regardless of whether they're siblings or not, when you become the guardian of a child, it's essentially making you the parent of that child by taking care of all responsibilities a parent would for them.
The best thing about Springbonnie's design is that they move like a person and not a machine. Which makes sense because at that point in the movie I don't think Afton had been springlocked yet, they were just using the suit as a suit.
I just want to note about the “Steve Raglan”, part of the movie is that a huge part of the silver eyes novel (which was apparently one of the big possible screenplays for the film) William Afton underwent a fake identity so he could stick around the abandoned pizzeria and kill people using his bunny suit (before he got spring-locked)
Ugh… I don’t like that. The novels were pretty sloppy in terms of writing and I personally did not like the characterization of William there. He felt like a generic horror villain. In the games as well as some other hidden lore, there are hints at a potential deeper character. The reason for the animatronics being possessed was this substance called remnant, and William had done some scientific research on it. Basically, from what we can infer, after the death of his son (the bite of ‘83) William snapped, and as a scientist and engineer, he coped by burying himself in his research. Because of his discovery of remnant, it is theorized that he used the Fazbear franchise as a front end for his experiments, which involved using his robots as vessels. This could have given him a much deeper characterization, being a brilliant scientist and a father mad with grief, using these experiments to bring his son back- Or to *put him back together again.* Him killing in the hopes of bringing people back from the dead, and justifying his horrific actions with the possibility that he could bring all of his victims back to life and potentially be the man to discover a way to be immortal is a MUCH deeper and more interesting character than just some evil guy who kills kids just because he’s evil and sadistic. Here’s an example of a murderer with a cause in another franchise: Thanos from Avengers. He wipes out half the universe not because he’s simply evil, but because he believes that it would be better for all life in the long run. He believes that he would be saving far more lives than what he’s sacrificing. I’m pretty uneasy with where the movie is taking this character, and furthermore the lore. It seems like they’re trying to lean more into goosebumps horror than well written and compelling horror.
A fun note about the Springtrap scene: As we all know Matthew Lillard is playing him, and wether or not he’s in this suit in this scene, there’s a fun reference to his previous role in Scream. Lillard played Stu Macher, also known as Ghostface, who is well known for wiping his knife off with his hand just like Afton does here! Just thought that was a fun reference that got put in!
Stu was ONE of the Ghostfaces. There were two in the first movie. You can't forget about Billy Loomis, Sidney Prescott's boyfriend, as he orchestrated the entire plan in the first place to punish Sidney for his father cheating on HIS mother with Sidney's mother. Stu was the bumbling friend who went along with the crazy scheme because he wanted to be cool.
The one thing I have to say, is that Springtrap is actually the Spring Bonnie suit before William got springlocked in it, I do like how their making it all damaged to symbolize the suit being old and way after Fredbear’s Family Diner was closed down, to show it’s oldness and damaged mold on the suit
I did notice how one side of the suit looks withered, but is otherwise still in better shape than Springtrap was in FNAF3 (in which his undead corpse just rotted in that suit in a sealed off room for 30 years) So, this kinda feels like Springtrap's origin story, and may end with the infamous springlock accident and his body being sealed away in a hidden room for a sequel tease.

Mike doesn’t actually take his sister Abby on the first night, he probably takes her on the second or third night because as it turns out, Abby’s babysitter Max was with the robbers who break into the restaurant and was the girl who got nabbed by Freddy. So that’s why Mike then has to take Abby to his job, I mean, like you said he probably COULD leave her with the neighbors but I have a feeling Mike in the movie has a lot of trust issues.
These break downs are great! I enjoy FNAF related content when it’s not always about theorizing and just getting your opinion on FNAF news. The animatronics look so PERFECT and William Afton’s Springbonnie suit at the end looks so GOOD! Great video and honestly loving the FNAF content!
I'm pretty sure the only reason Spring Bonnie's design looks "off" is because in every version we have seen of William in the suit so far (the graphic novels and FFPS), the animatronic eyes aren't there and instead it's William glaring from within the suit. It would probably be way more difficult to pull off in a movie setting though.
Am I only one who noticed Springtrap wiping off the knife? That has to be a little nod to “Scream”, right? Ghostface ALWAYS wiped off his knife like that, and Matthew Lillard was in the original “Scream”!
That’s technically not Springtrap. He hasn’t been springlocked yet. It’s just William in a withered springbonnie suit. The end of the movie will probably show William being springlocked though.
@@Mega-Mato I can already envision the post-credit scene showing Springtrap's slumped body in a dark room being still...until his eyes flash white, and he starts twitching like in the FNAF3 trailer.
12:46 I'm sure someone else has mentioned this before but there was a spring bonnie model that was used as a placeholder for glitchtrap in help wanted, it looks great.
I like that they also differentiate the movement between the animatronics and Springtrap. The animatronics have stiffer/more robotic movements, while Springtrap has more human like motion to distinguish it as an actual suit to be worn. It's a small detail that the non-FNAF fan might not notice/think about, but it does give a hint as to Springtrap's true nature wihtout saying it.
A.I. may be a useful tool, but that is all it is: a Tool. It an never replace the Heart and Soul that a living actor an provide, and no machine can replicate the moment where a fan meets their favorite actor at a convention and gets an autograph from them.
11:12 yeah that’s what I thought too when I saw it, it’s probably another robber standing behind it to scare her, I saw someone else point out you can see the boots of the “victim” in a previous shot of the robbery
Also there's a scream reference in the springbonnie scene William played by Matthew lillard same actor who played stu macher in scream does that knife wipe that ghost face does
Here's the official synopsis for the movie: The terrifying horror game phenomenon becomes a blood-chilling cinematic event, as Blumhouse- the producer of M3GAN, The Black Phone and The Invisible Man- brings Five Nights at Freddy’s to the big screen. The film follows Mike (Josh Hutcherson; Ultraman, The Hunger Games franchise) a troubled young man caring for his 10-year-old sister Abby (Piper Rubio; Holly & Ivy, Unstable), and haunted by the unsolved disappearance of his younger brother more than a decade before. Recently fired and desperate for work so that he can keep custody of Abby, Mike agrees to take a position as a night security guard at an abandoned theme restaurant: Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. But Mike soon discovers that nothing at Freddy’s is what it seems. With the aid of Vanessa, a local police officer (Elizabeth Lail; You, Mack & Rita), Mike’s nights at Freddy’s will lead him into unexplainable encounters with the supernatural and drag him into the black heart of an unspeakable nightmare. The film also stars Mary Stuart Masterson (Blindspot, Fried Green Tomatoes), as Mike’s icy Aunt Jane; Kat Conner Sterling (We Have a Ghost, 9-1-1) as Abby’s caring babysitter, Max; and Matthew Lillard (Good Girls, Scream) as Steve Raglan, Mike’s smug career counselor. Five Nights at Freddy’s is directed by Emma Tammi (The Wind, Blood Moon) and is written by Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi and Seth Cuddeback. The film’s iconic animatronic characters will be created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. Five Nights at Freddy’s is produced by Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon. The film’s executive producers are Bea Sequeira, Russell Binder, Marc Mostman and Christopher H. Warner. Universal Pictures presents a Blumhouse production, in association with Striker Entertainment.
I'll say this about the strike, I don't think Blumhouse are those types of people who don't care. After all, they're making a movie for an indie horror game and have been in partnership for this movie for actual years. I don't think talking about the FNaF movie would really be breaking from supporting the WGA or SAG AFTRA and I kinda hope that the whole strike and people supporting them doesn't hinder the sales for the FNaF movie after all this time it took to make...
SpringTrap was pristine in the Silver Eyes graphic novel. Just figured I’d point that out. And the live action version looks pretty close to that as well. Also I really enjoy all of the FOAFY FNAF stuff. I do get excited any time they come out. Keep up the GREAT work!
11:38 With the exception of Foxy stepping on that plastic ball. You can _see_ the metal pipe jostling around the thin rod holding it in place, and his leg shifts around like it weighs hardly anything.
Intro: Scrap Baby] You played right into our hands. Did you really think that this job just fell out of the sky for you? No, this was a gift. For us. You gathered them all together, in one place. Just like he asked you to. All of those little souls in one place. Just for us, a gift. Now, we can do what we were created to do. And be complete. I will make you proud, Daddy. Watch, listen, and be full.Connection terminated. I'm sorry to interrupt you, Elizabeth. If you still even remember that name. But I'm afraid you've been misinformed. You are not here to receive a gift. Nor, have you been called here by the individual you assume. Although, you have indeed been called. You have all been called here. Into a labyrinth of sounds and smells, misdirection and misfortune. A labyrinth with no exit, a maze with no prize. You don't even realize that you are trapped. Your lust of blood has driven you in endless circles. Chasing the cries of children in some unseen chamber. Always seeming so near, yet somehow out of reach. But, you will never find them, none of you will. This is where your story ends. And to you, my brave volunteer. Who somehow found this job listing not intended for you. Although, there was a way out planned for you, I have a feeling that's not what you want. I have a feeling that you are right where you want to be. I am remaining as well. I am nearby. This place will not be remembered. And the memory of everything that started this. Can finally begin to fade away. As the agony of every tragedy should. And to you monsters trapped in the corridors. Be still, and give up your spirits. They don't belong to you. This ends. For all of us. End communication.

I just love the way Springtrap is like creeping towards Mike. Compared to the stiffness of the other animatronics it’s pretty jarring and a lot scarier in my opinion. I love it
I like that the cupcake attack looks cheesy. It tells me that while the movie will mostly take itself seriously with story, they'll still poke fun at themselves for the ridiculousness that is the concept of FNAF. 😆
I'm glad I get to see this as my "birthday" present or whatever (mine's the day before it's out in theaters) I just hope I'm not too disappointed. I understand that you can only do so much with this game which is why it works better as one.
9:59 FNaF has never been that disturbing. I would argue that this shot is pretty terrifying though because oh. my. gosh. The jaw force on that cupcake must be insane.
@@owlberty The most disturbing things are the hangings and springtrap but they're not usually shown in full detail. William's springlock scene was in an 8 bit minigame and so was the Bite so it was kinda goofy. Shocking but not disturbing. Springtrap is scary but his proportions are kinda goofy. He's probably the goriest thing we actually see in FNaF. The books are the books so y'know they do what they want but their gory and disturbing imagery isn't rlly shown in the games. Similiar things are implied but not outright shown. So ofc they won't show too much in the movie because in this franchise the goriest things are left for the imagination and that's honestly pretty smart. sorry for the two paragraphs 💀
@@YesitGoldy you are right, but in my opinion I think the books have the most disturbing scenes(mostly the book scenes of the mimic). the mimic decapitated and tore off the limbs of 11 construction workers, bashed ones head into the wall and shattered their entire bone structure, took out someones brain, and a lot of other stuff(btw no need to apologize for writing a lot, it's nice to see there are other people who like to write as much as I do lol)
@@owlberty (Thanks lol. Ppl usually get mad) I totally agree with the books being the most disturbing and scary FNaF medium it's just that nothing is technically shown. All the gory scenes are just described imagery without actual physical images and the novelizations like the Silver Eyes and such aren't that disturbing. FNaF tends to get disturbing and darker when there is no actual images or videos and just your imagination. The FNaF Movie won't get that visually disturbing due to it being well... a movie. Only the books get that love.
Hey foafy, Mike is actually short for Michael Afton, the son of William Afton and the big brother who booked the crying child on his birthday. He’s also our purple guy in Sister location after we see him get scooped.
i’m super proud of WGA and SAGAftra for going as long as they have and plan to go for even longer, but i’m just a tiny bit sad that as a result of the strike there won’t be any of the usual media circuit to promote the FNAF movie, like interviews with the people who worked on it 😔 so coming across this video was really nice! and it’ll be a good thing to go out and see the movie once it premieres, that’s one of the ways us as consumers can support the strikes! it sounds counter productive, but as long as the movie was finished pre-strike and all set for it’s premiere before the strikes started then it’s all good to go see it also, my favorite shot from the second trailer is Springtrap with the knife, bcs he does the Scream-Movie-Knife-Wipe!! one of the stunt coordinators on the first Scream came up with the motion to help with continuity between scenes, and it’s so cool to see a prolific role of Matthew Lillard’s and an excellent horror movie paid homage to like this!
Part of me really wants to just see this movie as it’s own thing. Not as in “THAT SCENE IZ FROM DE BOOOKS!!” I just wanna watch it and look back fondly on the days when FNAF wasn’t as complicated as a human nervous system.
It’s not meant to be Springtrap yet it’s meant to be an old Spring Bonnie suit with Steve “William” inside using it to kill Mike and Abby which will probably most definitely end with him getting spring locked and then lead into the the future movies where he comes back as Springtrap
Normally, I would not be into horror movies. However, knowing how the Jim Henson Creature Workshop works and they have made Sesame Street, Muppets, Dark Crystal, and others as some of my favorites, I would watch this movie to support the company. The company itself is very underrated and needs more love. And I would support anything Muppet-like related so I may try to watch this film this Halloween.
yes to all of this! i’m also fairly certain that Henson would have been really happy to see practical puppets like this used in the horror genre, he always wanted to do work with puppets that didn’t just fall into the children genre, but was used in every genre! i know that some would say that FNAF IS for children, but those are people who do not know how much FNAF is a piece of horror media
Actually, we have seen Spring trap Before he was trapped in the Spring lock. in a book. But I'm sure there's more. It's just the only one I can recall.
10:08 yo wait, what if Abby is genuinely the origin of Balloon Girl in this universe XD like, a balloon bot would already exist but her voice and soul takes over
I just appreciate they got Springtrap’s eyes down. They’re really interesting looking and I’m glad they didn’t just make them red with the rest or something
Quick fact: when Warner brothers were passed by Scott, the script was already written, so they turned it into another animatronic horror film based on the 1960s "The banana splits." And thus, the Banana Splits Movie horror movie was born.( stellar movie name guys🙄 )
The movie is officially 3 hours long and if the first one does well, there might be a second and third movie. The red eyes are actually canon. It means that Afton is controlling the animatronics and not the dead kids. The eyes don't appear to be red through the whole trailer, so maybe Afton suddenly takes control of them
Am I wrong or was it shown that Vanny and Vanessa are separate people? Like, I think Vanessa and Vanny are robot versions of Elizabeth Afton, and Circus Baby has the soul of Elizabeth in her, William has either tricked or even hacked Vanessa into working for him, maybe she even just thinks Steve Raglan is her father Also I think Cassie is a robot of Charlie who’s original soul is in the puppet
I believe that Abby was meant to stay in the car and sleep, but went in to use the bathroom. When she says hello if you brighten up the image, she is coming from the restrooms.
seeing springtrap move around like a guy in a mascot costume makes it seem like the movie will END with him getting springlocked, which is gonna be so sick.
I think the red glow is just to signify that they are being controlled in those moments. to give you a "oh no its about to go down" feeling and the yellow glow is their default.
I would absolutely love for Rider to make a video covering Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it’s my favorite show if all time, Rottmnt is to me as what Steven Universe is to FootofaFerret, it would be so cool if he made a video on it! Anyone else agree?
11:52 we that's spring-bonnie not Springtrap because the suit is more cleaner than springtrap and in the trailer we do see William Afton alive and well so yeah... But I do think that springtrap's gonna appear in the post credit scene tho
The thing is, I can’t even watch the security breach ruin videos because I really want to play the game, but I can’t get it yet because I need more storage and I don’t want spoilers
Me and my dad went to see the new Poroit movie, and he saw an ad for the Fnaf movie. My dad did not know what Fnaf was as he had never heard of it. After the ad he said "What the hell was that?"
Lore wise it really wouldn't surprise me if this movie ends up directly canon with the Steel Wool games, but this franchise has _so many_ alternate universes at this point that I'm mostly going to be seeing it to laugh (with/at) the goofy PG-13 attempts at horror.
If the lore in all that is correct William never actually became Springtrap until he actually died and the suit then gets damaged a bit but yeah it's weird not actually seeing him in his actual glory
I have the money for FNAF Security breach, what are your opinions? I really like the look of it in videos but videos aren't always reality. What are your thoughts?

I'm pretty sure the only reason Spring Bonnie's design looks "off" is because in every version we have seen of William in the suit so far (the graphic novels and FFPS), the animatronic eyes aren't there and instead it's William glaring from within the suit.
It would probably be way more difficult to pull off in a movie setting though.
Am I only one who noticed Springtrap wiping off the knife? That has to be a little nod to “Scream”, right? Ghostface ALWAYS wiped off his knife like that, and Matthew Lillard was in the original “Scream”!
2:28 We shall pay Scott more. He did make a good chunk of our childhoods.
That’s technically not Springtrap. He hasn’t been springlocked yet. It’s just William in a withered springbonnie suit. The end of the movie will probably show William being springlocked though.
Post credit Sceen? It is a 3 movie deal after all
@@Mega-Mato I can already envision the post-credit scene showing Springtrap's slumped body in a dark room being still...until his eyes flash white, and he starts twitching like in the FNAF3 trailer.
Y'all know it's a good day when footofaferret posts a fnaf video
This vid was so good! Just wait till MatPat watches the movie and we get a truckload of new lore we never noticed 😬
Oh, how young and naive we were...
The only thing scarier than FNAF is that studios won't pay their actors and writers
A.I. may be a useful tool, but that is all it is: a Tool.
It an never replace the Heart and Soul that a living actor an provide, and no machine can replicate the moment where a fan meets their favorite actor at a convention and gets an autograph from them.
Ai could never create something new
Foafy’s cookin again 🔥
11:12 yeah that’s what I thought too when I saw it, it’s probably another robber standing behind it to scare her, I saw someone else point out you can see the boots of the “victim” in a previous shot of the robbery
it actually did happen in the books. I believe the name is "the new kid
"
Also there's a scream reference in the springbonnie scene
William played by Matthew lillard same actor who played stu macher in scream does that knife wipe that ghost face does
4:09 AKA Shaggy and Stu Macher.
Here's the official synopsis for the movie:
The terrifying horror game phenomenon becomes a blood-chilling cinematic event, as Blumhouse- the producer of M3GAN, The Black Phone and The Invisible Man- brings Five Nights at Freddy’s to the big screen.
I'm guessing mike is the older brother of freddy or foxy or something which means we could still see micheal afton show up in some form or another.

Just like the mario movie, even if it's bad, medicore, good, it's going to make a alot of money
Nice video can’t wait for Ruin Part 2 and The movie
Oh your first
SpringTrap was pristine in the Silver Eyes graphic novel.
Intro: Scrap Baby]
You played right into our hands.
Although, there was a way out planned for you,
I have a feeling that's not what you want.

We're waiting every night
To finally roam and invite
Newcomers to play with us

I just love the way Springtrap is like creeping towards Mike. Compared to the stiffness of the other animatronics it’s pretty jarring and a lot scarier in my opinion. I love it
I like that the cupcake attack looks cheesy. It tells me that while the movie will mostly take itself seriously with story, they'll still poke fun at themselves for the ridiculousness that is the concept of FNAF. 😆
I still cant believe that the fnaf movie is coming out in October
I'm glad I get to see this as my "birthday" present or whatever (mine's the day before it's out in theaters) I just hope I'm not too disappointed. I understand that you can only do so much with this game which is why it works better as one.
Thank you so much for the brief thing about the strike, it's much appreciated!
I demand 8 bottles of water
I think in the movie there should be a Easter egg in the background of the game theory logo that’s the trophy with all four sides colored in
9:59
FNaF has never been that disturbing. I would argue that this shot is pretty terrifying though because oh. my. gosh. The jaw force on that cupcake must be insane.
its like a 4/10 when you see all the REALLy disturbing fnaf scenes from the games
Ppl usually get mad)
I totally agree with the books being the most disturbing and scary FNaF medium it's just that nothing is technically shown.
@@YesitGoldyyeah, your kinda right, and even if the mimic stories got graphic novels, they would most likely cut out a few things

i’m super proud of WGA and SAGAftra for going as long as they have and plan to go for even longer, but i’m just a tiny bit sad that as a result of the strike there won’t be any of the usual media circuit to promote the FNAF movie, like interviews with the people who worked on it 😔 so coming across this video was really nice! and it’ll be a good thing to go out and see the movie once it premieres, that’s one of the ways us as consumers can support the strikes! it sounds counter productive, but as long as the movie was finished pre-strike and all set for it’s premiere before the strikes started then it’s all good to go see it
also, my favorite shot from the second trailer is Springtrap with the knife, bcs he does the Scream-Movie-Knife-Wipe!! one of the stunt coordinators on the first Scream came up with the motion to help with continuity between scenes, and it’s so cool to see a prolific role of Matthew Lillard’s and an excellent horror movie paid homage to like this!
Wake up honey, Foafy just dropped a FNAF video! 😁

It is stupid, but fun stupid. And a nice little nod to FNAF 4 and how the cupcake was its own character.

Here’s my trick! Just pirate all of the stuff that’s from the newer months that way the studios don’t get your money!
props to ryder for keeping us up to date
It’s not meant to be Springtrap yet it’s meant to be an old Spring Bonnie suit with Steve “William” inside using it to kill Mike and Abby which will probably most definitely end with him getting spring locked and then lead into the the future movies where he comes back as Springtrap
Little tidbit, we do also see springtrap in The Silver Eyes Graphic novel in his prime
Funny how I used to watch this RUclips Channel all the time, I got a ferret last year, Amazing timing!
Imagine getting cast in the fnaf movie as “ guy who gets killed by cupcake” hahahahaha

Is always nice when footofaferret makes a video
Am I wrong or was it shown that Vanny and Vanessa are separate people? Like, I think Vanessa and Vanny are robot versions of Elizabeth Afton, and Circus Baby has the soul of Elizabeth in her, William has either tricked or even hacked Vanessa into working for him, maybe she even just thinks Steve Raglan is her father
Also I think Cassie is a robot of Charlie who’s original soul is in the puppet
I believe that Abby was meant to stay in the car and sleep, but went in to use the bathroom. When she says hello if you brighten up the image, she is coming from the restrooms.
Judging from the trailers, i feel like this movie gonna give a lot of people some needed laughs
FOOTof a ferret i hope you better make a video on everything you need to know about that new adventure time

Lore wise it really wouldn't surprise me if this movie ends up directly canon with the Steel Wool games, but this franchise has _so many_ alternate universes at this point that I'm mostly going to be seeing it to laugh (with/at) the goofy PG-13 attempts at horror.
It’s not
If the lore in all that is correct William never actually became Springtrap until he actually died and the suit then gets damaged a bit but yeah it's weird not actually seeing him in his actual glory
Mike Shmitt is also Micheal Afton btw
I saw a poster of it a few days ago when watching the Barbie movie
