Is it me, or did cartoons used to be WAY simpler? When I was a kid all my favorite cartoons were goofy comedies where nothing mattered. And these days I feel like I spend most of my time crying over drawings. And on that note: Gravity Falls! One of the best cartoons probably ever with a storyline so cool I just gotta tell someone about it. So today, I’m taking on the challenge of recapping the ENTIRE plot of Gravity Falls.

I used to watch this show over and over on the weekend. So fascinating and a bunch of mysteries. Love it and probably never gonna stop loving it

This show is never going to die. It may have been over for 5 years, but it is legendary and will always be remembered no matter what.

My MAAAAN! I feel you! I even remember "child me" wanted to create right Spongebob timeline with the right episode order (even now that goal is pretty unachievable). That's one of the key reasons why "Gravity Falls" is my favorite Cartoon ever! (well that,...and giant amount of weird monstrous creatures) :)

This man understands how to wrap up one of the greatest cartoons in history in under 18 minutes
Recently watched Gravity Falls and now it’s one of my favourite cartoons. It’s childish sometimes, but mature and thoughtful at ALL times without much filler.
As soon as he’s about to die, all the gibberish things he says is actually a backwards sentence (he’s most likely reborn into a new dimension and a new form as king, the titan from owl house with lore inside of the book and ending

I don’t think that Bill returned when Stan got his memories back. Bill’s soul was trapped within Stan’s mind when his memories were getting erased, thus Bill’s soul getting erased as well. The key word here is _soul._ Just because Stan retrieved his memories doesn’t mean it would’ve brought back Bill’s soul. He was just remembering stuff

Just to clarify at 7:20 Gideon had Journal number 2 and when he was arrested, he was shaken down and journal number 2 fell out, and the deed fell on top of it. Stan picked the journal and the deed at the same time. That’s where he got journal number 2. It is found out later that Stan got journal number 1 the night his brother got sucked into the portal.

Don’t forget some of the craziest stuff.
Right after they found the laptop, Dipper starts trying to crack the code while Mabel is distracted with her crush of the week. Bill (the dorito man) shows up in Dipper’s dreams one night and is like “I can give you the password, I just want something in return!” And dippers like “Uh, no.” Then, after getting no sleep the night before, Dipper starts trying to find the password again until a countdown appears for a complete data wipe. Bill shows up again, and in a moment of desperation, Dipper makes a deal with Bill and agrees to give him a puppet. But, there’s a twist. We finally start to learn how deceiving and dangerous Bill truly is, as he POSSESSES DIPPER and DESTROYS THE LAPTOP. There was a point in the episode where Bill shoved FORKS IN DIPPERS ARM. Mabel stops him, they get the journal back, they find the mcgukket labs label on the destroyed laptop. But A MIND DEMON POSSESSED AN INNOCENT CHILD. ON A DISNEY CHANNEL SHOW. FOR 10 YEAR OLDS.

What I love is that it's two completely different shows! At first you're like ok, its a funny, really funny silly cartoon, great! There's a couple of wider story things planted, like Blendin and the vending machine etc. but pretty much just a regular, hilarious cartoon show. Then, episode 19, Bill Cypher shows up! I mean, they left it till episode 19! of 20! Masterful storytelling! Then the finale, Gideon is the bad guy, he get's beaten, all is good. Then, bam! Stan goes into the secret lab, reunites the journals and activated a giant machine! What?! After that, it becomes a completely different show, our entire perspective of this story has shifted, iur level of investment in these characters suddenly just ramps up to 11! Brilliantly made, genius writing, it's perfect!

Journal 2 was buried near an elementary school. Journal 1 was supposed to be where dipper found it, but Ford changed his mind for some reason and put 3 there instead, held on to 1 and it ended up with Stanley.
I'm guessing since Journal 2 was hidden near an elementary school, when Gideon was near that place, he stumbled upon the journal accidentally like how Dipper did in Episode 1.
