So basically in Steven Universe Future, Steven was so traumatized by going through so many crazy near death experiences that he didn't know how to function in a peaceful scenario.
I do like the fact that they showed Steven's trauma though. I know a lot of shows that have similar storylines where the main character is traumatized and grows up but it never gets addressed. I'm also really proud of how they have Connie handle the proposal, same with earlier there are a lot of shows that would have had her say yes because she feels bad for him, or had her just break up with him. But, no, the "It's not a no, it's a not now" is perfect. I'm really proud of the shows creators for exploring hard topics like this.

Not funny I didn't laugh. Your joke is so bad I would have preferred the joke went over my head and you gave up re-telling me the joke. To be honest this is a horrid attempt at trying to get a laugh out of me. Not a chuckle, not a hehe, not even a subtle burst of air out of my esophagus. Science says before you laugh your brain preps your face muscles but I didn't even feel the slightest twitch. 0/10 this joke is so bad I cannot believe anyone legally allowed you to be creative at all. The amount of brain power you must have put into that joke has the potential to power every house on Earth. Get a personality and learn how to make jokes, read a book. 13:40 in my head canon is that it released his gem hologram, but whenever the gem is in steven, it lies in a state of being able to use its powers, but also not being the one to control the weapon, as steven controls it. so steven and his gem are separate entities, but his gem has become part of him and uses him as his sort of bubble, taking the gem out is the same as popping a bubble.
Okay so the fact they address the immense amount of trauma a young shounen protagonist goes through is amazing by any standard. And may actually make me watch the show.

The thing that in fact people don't realise in the episode where they heal Steven after he turns into his corrupt form is that it wasn't just a dumb hug and everything is gone. Steven in the end, still has his problems because how tf can he forget basically having his life threatened every day. And it wasn't just a hug: Connie said how Steven has always been able to be there for others to make them feel better, however, when he was having a ton of problems bothering him, there was no one who could properly help him. The hug in the end was to show Steven that even when he is an actual monster, they still love him which is really all Steven needed. He needed validation that his friends and family love him even after everything.
Wait a minute..... if Steven grows older when he feels old, and he grows younger when he feels young.... that would mean that Steven is immortal if he feels young all the time

I remember watching bits and pieces of Steven Universe on Cartoon Network. I never knew the whole story, but now I feel like this is better than half the anime out there.
The Gem monsters aren't interested in people. They become active when _other Gems_ are around. They're not like the more animalistic corrupted Gems. And the Cluster is made of Crystal Gems, so it's on their side.

God I love that show. Future helped me learn so much about myself. I never realized throughout the ENTIRE show just how toxic Steven was to himself. He always put his own feelings out of the way and worried about everyone else. I learned what Altlas personality was because Steven 100% has it and I'm pretty sure I've got a bit of it too. I hope it will help me better care for myself and put myself first more often. Thank you Steven for being the best show I could ask for

This really spells out for me how all my favorite moments and concepts in the show were concentrated in the first 2 seasons. The music on the other hand, never stopped getting better

The “Steven is rose diamond” feels a lot like when we learn King is a titan in toh
God I love that show. Future helped me learn so much about myself. I never realized throughout the ENTIRE show just how toxic Steven was to himself. He always put his own feelings out of the way and worried about everyone else. I learned what Altlas personality was because Steven 100% has it and I'm pretty sure I've got a bit of it too. I hope it will help me better care for myself and put myself first more often. Thank you Steven for being the best show I could ask for
