I absolutely love the change up at 4:25. Careful, this game will sneak up on you. One moment you're just here for the farm vibes and the next you find yourself 4 days without sleep and deep into monster hunting so you can digup radioactive materials for a new sprinkler system
All 3 Spring themes are bubbly and happy. All 3 Summer themes are energetic but still chill at their core. All 3 Fall themes are mysterious and laid back. But my favorites are easily the 3 Winter themes. They are chill, melancholic, as if the world is at a standstill. Really, you should listen to “Winter (Nocturne of Ice)” or the last one “Winter (Ancient)” They are among the most thought provoking songs in a simple feel-good videogame for me
Stardew Valley is a fantastic gem of a game that will consume all of your free time if you're not careful. It's about the player leaving their corporate job after inheriting an old, run down farm in a small village in Stardew Valley. You manage your time, stamina, and money to rebuild the farm however you like while also getting to know the people in the village. There's fishing, mining, foraging in the woods, battling through a dungeon with monsters, raising animals, growing crops, and exploring a variety of locations. It's an evolution of the farming sim RPG started by games like Harvest Moon in the 90's, made with a lot of love for the genre and a quirky art style by one person over the course of several years. Generally the game will have a main theme it uses for each season that's used as you run around during your day, so you might hear this song while shopping in town, fish at the beach, cut trees in the woods or work on your farm, so you're spot on about it being kind of vague on where you're at.
ConcernedApe did indeed make basically the entire game as well as the OST. I think he got some help in the later patches when it comes to the game itself, but the music pretty much all him.
Stardew Valley has a special place in my heart. When my then husband of 11 years terminated our marriage suddenly out of no where, during my grieving period and recovery after afterwards, I relied heavily on playing the game and getting lost in the world. It's very addicting.
I had so many friends playing Stardew Valley and never was interested because I had thought it wasn't my game style. The moment I started playing it, though, I never stopped practically. If you are playing it yourself, it just keeps you going with planning and resources, etc. And I don't think there is a farming sim that has gotten me hooked as much again :D As for this track, I really like it and it brings me back because I restarted the game so often everytime I paused it for too long because I forgot what I was up to - and Spring is the first season you start these type of games normally :D
Stardew is an e-drug with how addicting it is, I'm scared of going back to it because it'll easily eat up 50 hours of my playtime before I knew it The MapleStory track you mentioned was Kerning Square yeah
I haven't played this game in a good while, but as soon as I heard the melody, I IMMEDIATELY started rehearsing my routine of watering, harvesting, and selling. Good times :)
Stardew Valley is the peak of farming sims. It was developed by one man, ConcernedApe, who is still working on new big updates, 8 years after the game released. I hope you get to check out more of the music of this game. It's all pretty chill and very nice to listen to
The _other_ Spring Song is so iconic, because it is always chosen as the song that plays during your first day. After the first day of the season, it seems like songs are chosen at random for each day and I think there are 2-3 tracks per season. Fun fact: One of the Winter Songs is *very* heavily inspired by a Secret of Mana song. The first 10-ish seconds are almost identical between the two songs. Stardew Valley itself as a game is just magical. Despite having 500+ hours in it, I still come back to it now and then. There's a planned update coming up here "soon" which is why I'm waiting. Can't wait, lol.
I think Stardew was such a hit because a lot of people who grew up on Harvest Moon finally found a good alternative after the Natsume split and the quality dropped. That they are still dropping free updates really shows how much love and care the team is putting into it and how much the fans support it.
I love the music in Stardew Valley, especially because Concerned Ape has been very overt about his inspirations and some of them I can instantly tell I played the same games as he did when I hear the music.
The theme of the song is probably meant to represent the season rather than a location. So like Spring instead of something like beach. Edit: oh, just saw the title lol xD
You know how mario is the gold standard, if you're making a platformer there's gotta be something interesting about it that makes it better than mario or why are you doing it? Stardew is that for farm Sim games. Horse radish jam is probably the name because horse radish is one of the earliest forage items you can find and it's also specific to spring.... and it can become jam too lol I think most or the seasonal themes are nice like this but I really do love spring a lot
Oh, if you are hard role player, the fall song will make you stop more than often just to hear the bits. In my case while I was playing I had the entire environment running in my head, like the sounds, climate and flavor of the scene, add that music to the mix and I ended up like: "I sooo wanna be there right now..."

I've literally woken up in the night wanting to check on my farm and I'm a grown man needing to go to work and pay bills 😂. This game is sooo good

Stardew Valley has some wholesome good music, warmly recommend listening to when in need of happy tunes.

Glad you're getting into Stardew Valley ost! I hope you'll check out more of the soundtrack, it is lovely and very relaxing.

Not randomized, they have the same day plan. If you have Raven's Descent in Autumn, then it rains 2 days in a row, you'll have Raven's Descent again.
@@TailRunnerOPSpec Well, _seemingly_ random then. For the average player it'd appear to just be random even if there is some sort of formula for it.
Formula is
Song 1
Song 2
Song 3
Repeat from 1
If a day rains, the song is skipped@@Dhalin
This is my favorite track off the entire OST

How many times I've searched on Steam, "Games like Stardew Valley".
highly recommend the other season songs too. i love the fall theme myself a lot

Time to play this beast/drug of a game again... and I managed to stop for a full month.
winter - ancient ; P
This gives me a bit of Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze vibes.
oh hello stardew valley ost
Now you have to listen to Raven's Descent
The genre? I know its 'farming sim', but I just call it 'Harvest Moon' lol
Im genuinely surprised you haven't reacted to music from Rockstar's "Bully" yet😭 easily the best soundtrack in all of gaming.
wholesam musak
