I'm a physiotherapy student aiming to work in the sports rehab+training industry one day and your short videos are like fast nuggets of knowledge giving me more motivation. I thank and salute you for your videos Eugene🌿
You are such a good teacher! The tea, lovely accent, hair, serene background with the natural wood, and occasional guitar are all so inviting and add to the enjoyment of watching your videos!
I also found vbar cable pushdown to be the most effective for me, but unfortunately due to pandemic, i quit the gym and do not have access to cable machine anymore. Thankfully I do have a squat rack at home and some basic bands and weights at home, so I can still do bench, bent over rows, and squats. I'm having a hard time giving my triceps an isolated pump though =[
From a physiotherapist. V impressed with your little forward about pain at the beginning of the video. So many people giving out non evidenced based 'functional' rehab exercises on RUclips with no discussion around volume, intensity, frequency, exercise selection etc. Keep it up!
Eugene! You really do have such a way with words! I can't even tell if you've scripted this or not because it flows so seamlessly! For my favourite two i'm quite boring; close grip bench and skullcrushers
Another great video coach 💥 1. Katana extension all the way for me. Helped me big time with my elbow discomfort. 2. Cross body tricep extension I love as well giant set or in combination with the circus extension. 💥 Keep up the good work mate. Hope all is good with you. 🙏🏻
Dips on the roman chair and triceps pressdown are my favourite. I always get a very satisfying pump and can exhaust my triceps with these two exercises.
I just did this katana extension (bad ass name lol) for the first time today and holy cow did it highlight an asymmetry between my left and right scapula and serratus. Absolutely brilliant and can't wait to get better on the movement.
I've been a sub since a week and I love digging through your content. As a physio/Henselmans pt I love the arguments and deep-dives you make into biomechanics. Also your absolute calmness is really nice to listen to. Chapeau! Looking forward to more exercises per bodypart vids!

Great material! Just wanted to say that with my elbow pains rolling the triceps ( especially the attachments) did the job + also light "katana" extension with resistance bands before workout. Can't stress enough how much it helped me, now my triceps are more elastic/have bigger range of motion + also no pain in push movements when training chest/triceps/shoulders
Fun fact: ninjas were "typical samurai" too so they wouldn't carry the sword on the back either. Tbh the only case in history where we see people with swords on the back is when they don't have to unsheathe it from there (transporting larger weapon when you have a sidearm and such)
Yes, chest and tri’s this morning. Love when things align.😀 my 4 year old loves the shirt btw. And favorite exercises are dips with weight on the lap and skull crushers.
Lying triceps extensions with dumbbells and cable (cambered attachment) pressdowns have been beneficial over the years for me. Love dips between benches too! Cheers!
The path that crosses the centreline for extension! I never thought of that, Brilliant! And makes sense since this might give the best general body stability .
Hey Eugene, I love your videos man! Thanks for the specifics! I was wondering because I have a lot of muscle imbalance and was wondering if maybe you could do a video for tips on how to smooth that out? Thanks! Be safe!
#1 Samson press. Single arm pronated cable pressdown with stirrup. # 2 Bilateral Katana extension, single cable with long rope, shoulder height cable attachment, bent forward, good stretch between reps, extension past lockout.
I dont know if comments help the youtube algorithm but I ALWAYS be commenting, dropping likes and sharing because Coach Eugene has literally taught me so much to be a better athlete/coach for my clients, friggen love the content and want morrreeeee hella grateful for you man!
I’m curious about doing Dips on a “Push” day. Say you’re going to work triceps after working your chest. Having a worked chest would affect your dips right? As far as I know dips work both. Also love your videos!
So informative as always My favourite triceps exercise is barbell skull crushers and body weight dips with controlled negative and really focusing on triceps 💯
Word of caution to those who might be excited to all out on triceps work, I recently developed tendonitis on my right elbow from some heavy triceps pushdowns. I didn't really notice anything during the training, but the following days I knew I overdid it when I realized it was strained pretty good. Would hurt like hell simply tapping my elbow on something by accident. Ontop of it all, it takes over a month for this to slowly heal to the point you can actually do any pushing or triceps work again. Not fun at all. Take it easy as this tendon can easily be stressed, just like many shoulder related workouts can easily cause an issue. I rarely develop injuries in lifting and this has been annoying.
@@sid3176 Yeah. I avoided anything too stressful on it, focused more on some deep tissue myofascial release and went back with a little more focus on cleaner, more controlled lifts with less weight and been good since. It seemed my ego to really lift heavy got in the way.
My take 2 excercise for ticeps are 1.Unilateral cables pushdown-stayng on the side of the cable station; 2: overhead extension at cables unilaterale or Katana version if we want ti work both arms at same time. I like to include also some Heavy Excercise for triceps, favorite Compuonds are Dips and JM Press.
Sir good afternoon. We really like your all videos. We are learning a lot from you. Sir I would like to ask u question that I have been working our for 20 years and gained muscles and weight too but I am not gaining body weight anymore for last 15 years my body weigh same around 74kg and 20 years ago I was very skinny like 45 kg so should I use steroids to get little big?
my singular favorite tricep exercise is something i only recently started doing and i have no clue what to call it but its best with a smith rack. i guess its almost like using the smith rack to do a bodyweight skull crusher set the bar relatively low like mid thigh height, take a few steps back and get on your knees and grab the bar around shoulder width apart, using your triceps pull yourself towards the bar and then pull your head under the bar, with your triceps fully stretched now push yourself up and away. if you do it right you'll feel a massive pump in your triceps
Nice content, I like straight bar pushdowns for the lateral head and incline skullovers for my longhead. Trains both the shortened position and the lengthengt position very well.
Hey Eugene, please share with us your tips on how to improve the chest size as well as symmetry. My chest muscles don't respond appropriately to exercises, leading to asymmetrical growth. Thanks.
What I dislike about eugene: he always uses stuff that I don't have and tells just from time to time alternatives. What I like about him: everything else.
I used to do tricep dips quite aggresivelly for years and I have done a ton of damage to my elbows and shoulders. Now I can't perform dips at all, especially my right arm feels like is unable to go through that motion, it's not the muscle that hurts, it's the neuron. I'm not a doctor, but what I have seems to be tricep tenonditis. All the doctors I've visited told me not to train triceps (which is dump for someone who trains) and to perform massage on the area, rest etc. Is there anything you could suggest? P.S When I was training at the gym, I was using ropes and it was much better than any free weights, but I'm currently training at home and I only have dumbells and bars (normal and ez bar) Hope you can suggest something. Amazing videos btw, keep it up!
Power bombs and ez curl bar lying triceps extensions are my 2 favs. Close grip bench press and floor presses are also great. Power bombs give the best pump I'd say though....
I usually perform dips for chest, so my 2 favorite triceps exercises would be the bodyweight triceps extension on a suspension trainer and band pushdowns
I like the clever angle you use on the cables. I've been trying a cable overhead isolation recently and I could never find the right setup so I dropped the exercise. I will try yours tomorrow
Great lesson on body mechanics. Those are very effective exercises. Growing the triceps can increase overall physical strength quickly and helps you with the other compound lifts that will really put size on you. Great advice and video (and cool mask ..🙃).
Hey Eugene... - your content become better and better. Can you show us the proper technique of "breathing" during work out. Especially during Abs training. Tq Dude.
Me favourites are Dumbell skullcrushers and close grip dumbell bench press since I only have dumbells but I also like overhead dumbell Tricep extensions and Tricep kickbacks since they give me a awesome pump
My Top 2 Exercises for Triceps are: 1. Reverse Grip (Slight) Incline Bench on a Smith Machine 2. Shoulder Width Apart Tricep Pushdowns (preferably done with a Tricep Spreader Bar)
Haha katana extensions, I like it. The main two exercises I'm mostly focused on for triceps are dips and v-bar triceps pushdown. I'll try the katana extensions next time I work my triceps, can't wait.
a favorite exercise I invented is holding on to the parallel bars with my back toward the ground Put my heel into one bar holding the other while I pull myself up with my hamstrings. Edgar Cheung get creative...rack+bands+carabiners+ handle=tricep pump!
Mine are katana extensions and parallel bar dips (with weights or bands)
Been needing guidance that is easy to hear and comprehend. Non invasive, a fellow well spoken 'Strayan' and genuinely instructive. Atta boy. Subbed.

I wish he could tell me how to get beautiful long and thin hair..

Forearms and abs too 👀👀

Dips on the roman chair and triceps pressdown are my favourite. I always get a very satisfying pump and can exhaust my triceps with these two exercises.

I love all tricep workouts, skull crusher and the simple tricep pull down. But I will definitely add these into it.
Everyone talking about how good the vid is without saying that Eugene's t-shirt is absolute GOLD

I've found a way to avoid hurting my elbows while doing tricep extensions and finding better alternatives, thanks for this!
