You've been floating round my recommendations for a bit now but this is the first of your videos I've watched. I'm for sure coming back 😁 Strange it would be a bicep video though, I have little interest in biceps... wonder why I clicked 🤔 glad I did though, now, where's that quad video. EDIT: Just a thought, what about using bands for the archer so you get an inverted strength curve to the preacher? Particularly if you aren't going to be loading it too heavy... I'm actually kinda excited to train biceps now (up til now chin ups are basically all I've ran with).;
Awesome!!!!! You deserve it. You put a lot of effort into your videos and give us valuable information. I’m finding that I really look forward to your next video. Plus your profile pic is so motivating 🤤😅😍😎💪🏼🔥🔥🔥
I would love to see a video talking about your life , your education , and generally about how you end up being one of the best fitness influencers on social media!
I am a 38 year old woman (mom of 2 toddler girls). I lift weights 4 days a week in my "garage gym" and I regularly work my biceps. This was great info... thank you!
This channel is one of the best educational ones for training I’ve ever watched. Eugene you’re so engaging & explain thins really well - everything makes so much sense. I’ve loved trying new exercises 👌🏼
When i made my bicep workout vid I highly recommended those too. I don't get a stretch as deep on any movement other than these. Tons of growth from doing them.
I feel incredibly lucky to have found this channel The professionalism, delivery, and sound advice/techniques/practices are massive and I've barely scratched the surface! Thanks for what you do!
I am a girl And I LOVE BICEPS 💪🏼 The look of a complete physique is just so much better that looking like you neglect some body parts! Another great video. I’m loving this series. Looking forward to the next PS My favourite biceps exercise is the hammer curl. I did them quite a lot before and saw significant muscle growth and strength! But I will definitely try these both exercises next time. ❤️
This is great to see. So many girls skip torso and arm days lmao. I have some girls in my gym who do legs and butt only, 3 times a week.... they look weird as hell, like a pyramid.
I can't wash my hair properly even after a regular arm pump and I'm a wimp, I can't imagine what would happen if they actually grew like I want them to xD
1. I used to never train biceps because when I was younger I was told it was a show muscle that had no benefits for sports, but now I do I developed alot of elbow pain probably from imbalances and it has helped a ton with that thanks for the amazing content by the way, learning so much!! 2. I love a variation of bicep cables into a shoulder press, my other would be a preacher curl as well!!
The potato head that ran the Chaos & Pain supplement company was my go to guy for years and he constantly said "only idiots do curls you don't need them!" then ended up years later saying "and don't forget your curls only idiots don't curl!" so uh, yeah
It's great to see this channel grow! You absolutely deserve it! Incredible value! Some things like carrying angle has never heard before! It was huge game changer in my arm training routine since i have some problems with elbows! Fantastic! It would be very cool if you would make series about books you enjoy on topics like training, life, relationships, etc.
I'm glad you, a bodybuilder, acknowledges how boring biceps training can be, especially for us powerlifters who romanticize one rep maxes and maximal loads. I only trained biceps when I was in college as an excuse to stay in the gym longer. That was the sole reason. After I left college and there were no gym hunnies and the new gym I went to was more lonely, I just left when I was done with my powerlifting movements. Then, I developed elbow pain whenever I benched. So recently I've been curling for the sole purpose to try to fix my current elbow pain.
Good God, this guy is extraordinary. I've been watching fitness/bodybuilding RUclipsrs for years now. He discusses things I've never heard anyone else touch on. The way he talks about everyone's unique body structure, then be able to go into detail about how these differences come into play, in such specific ways, is amazing. For example, "carrying angle". He mentioned joint strain at about the 6:33 mark. I've noticed that when I'm doing standing barbell/EZ bar curls, that I constantly have to jerk my right shoulder forward after every few reps, I guess to alleviate built-up, I don't know, pressure. I don't have this issue when I'm doing preacher curls though. I guess this is one of those structural things, and it's only on the right side. I can't wait to dig into more of his videos to find more nuggets of gold concerning structural issues. ***EDIT*** He mentioned it again a little later when talking about DB preacher curls. I've avoided them in the past b/c they felt awkward. I would try to line up the same on both sides and it just felt weird. Now that I know why, and that it's okay to hit them from different angles on each side, I'll give them another shot. Knowing is half the battle!
Thank you again Coach for a great video and lecture on training arms effectively. I do enjoy both exercises but also the incline dumbbell curl standing cable curls. Thank you again for a great video looking forward to the next one.noot noot
I made a couple workout videos too! I love preacher curls for the bottom portion of the bicep, and i love alternating curls for really balling out the biceps too.
Love this. I have slight scoliosis and the easy bar is terrible for me for my biceps. My arms are both in different positions and I have to adjust my body to get the same pump for all my muscles. This helped confirm my deeper doubts. Thanks so much for this
I'm coming to all of your content pretty late, but this is the first video I've seen bringing up the fact that even the ez bar curl is an unnatural path for the arms. I've tried barbell and ez bar curls and get quite a bit of pain in my forearms that i don't get from any of the dumbbell variations i do. I really appreciated this point being made!
I'm a female and love training biceps and arms in general. My two favourite bicep exercises would be the good old bicep curls whilst seated at an incline as I feel like it stops momentum and I get a better range. Secondly, underhand chin ups. They burnnnnn! 🔥 Loving your videos, keep it up!
ill throw another one out there thats top tier bicep workout and thats spider curls.. they have no forgiveness on your biceps.. they demand top and bottom muscle of the bicep to work
Underhand pull-ups are vastly underrated because they train the bicep in a shoulder flexion position which is a secondary function of the bicep that is often overlooked. Jay did a lot of overhead machine curls- same idea. Most people who cheat with their curls get this effect but usually it’s spastic and uncontrolled and tension during sets is only about 1-2 seconds collectively so the effect is negligible.
mike mentzer said under hand pull downs on the lat machine are the best of the best bicep workout.. just adding to your statement as i agree completely that a pullup or pulldown are vastly overlooked.. its almost common sense that a pulldown/pullup is top tier for biceps because even unintentionally doing pulldown for back you still get jacked up arms and that aint even the correct movement.. thats how demanding it is on the arms..@@JoeyAgzBDA
Thumbs up and shared for channel growth!! Favourite exercises: 1. One-arm chin-up on rings for skill, 2. Preacher curl for strictly hypertrophy, 3. Pelican curl on rings for mobility/ stability. Quality upload as always.
I train my Biceps directly on my Pull day, as well as my arm and delt day. My favourite bicep exercises are: 1) Overhand Bicep Cable Curl -I like this becuase it trains the bicep with the hand in a pronated position. I sometimes superset this after I hit failure, by switching to a supernated grip to failure 2) Seated Incline DB Curl -I find this gets a good squeeze at the top of the movement and a really good stretch at the bottom. Love the vids!
I'm so glad, that I've found this channel. He mentions all the things others tend to ignore. E.g. the straight barbell. I can use it to train my biceps, but nowhere near my maximum weight because of said restrictions in body anatomy and also the assymetry of my body. I prefer the curled barbells or even better the single armed dumbbell. He also likes to execute the exercies the way I prefer (e.g. bench press without a bridge) and always shows slow, clean and controlled movements.
Eugene, only discovered your channel recently and now you're my favourite fitness channel. Really enjoyed the hamstrings video, which is my weak point. Regards, from the UK
I DO train biceps and my two favorites are Db hammer curls and Db curls (hammer to supinated) With my experiences I seem to respond best to Dbs with my biceps and I enjoy training them with dbs over cables or barbells

He wasn’t always so good, and he fully admits that. One of the best part about Eugene is that he is continuing to evolve his training and continues to get better. So many people get stuck in their ways and refuse to change as new information comes out, but the best coaches will adapt their training methods to be the best for each person, not just what worked in the past.

I train biceps and triceps seperately... twice a week. Favorite are good ole 21s and as of recent... pull ups using arms instead of using your lats. Great stuff bro!!!!
I like to try and guess which two exercises for these series you'll pick before watching. I got hams, back, chest, quads, and glutes right. But I got the second bicep exercise wrong. If someone held a gun to my head and said I could only follow one "fitness coach/person" I would choose you no hesitation. Sorry Joe Bennett. You're a close second. Basically, do I like the accent and hair or the beard more. Accent and hair wins.
Hey Eugene, Isn't there too much tension on the Biceps tendon when doing the single arm db preacher curl with a full range of motion (extending the arm completely)? Also you loose the tension in the Biceps. Wouldn't it be safer and more effective to shorten the range of motion and keeping constant tension on the bicep? Thank you!
I agree with you. I never like full extension on movements during my bicep workouts either. IT becomes more of a tendon pain than a bicep stretcher; however, on movements like the preacher curl and the incline curl, the full stretch leads to a comfortable and noticable pump more so then on any movements. I 100% agree with Eugene on this one.
I have the svelte figure of a power lifter and the skin care shelf of a woman, but alas, I am neither. DB curl; bi lateral cable curl; honorable mention, incline curl.
I’m a professional golfer and the strength training in order to active efficiency and effortless speed is very alike powerlifting, so that’s what I do. I never trained my biceps until I analyzed my kinematic sequence and saw my arm speed is to low, I’ve been working for years on that and I am finally trying to see if it has to do with the actual strength in the arm itself since my core and leg strength is really good. I will give it a try for 6 months then we’ll se if I’m more efficient. Thanks for these exercises!
Hi Eugene - great videos ! I'm an 18 yr old weightlifter. I have always had naturally built biceps without really training them( not to mention find training them boring) but will definitely start doing these now these now for longevity!
Really appreciate the info on how the angles on the preachers can differ. I have always noticed this and try to make adjustments without failing to go back to the 'natural' placement. Enjoy your videos cause of the little details and explanations!
We have a curl machine at my gym that kicks my ass. The amount of contact I get in that machine is insane and is always a part of my bicep routine. Also the gorilla curls.
Getting closer to the brachioradialis info! You're ganburu has a lot of great info. Like to hear your thoughts on bringing up forearms when some has more dominant biceps. Say an 19 inch arm and 14.5inch forearm. Thanks for all the great info
I´m neither a powerlifter nor a woman, and I love training biceps, but my biceps are the weakest part of my body even though I try to train them a lot. I'll try these exercises out, I´m loving the thorough explanation because, as someone who has trained for years, I feel I've plateaued and gym trainers and their same suggestions are not helping at all.
Your biceps are definately freaky! I made a chest and bicep workout vid not too long ago! Definately regretting not adding the exercises you have in yours. I am going to use these in my own personal routines. Your the freaking man! Love your content bro!
My best 2 exc. For biceps are Cable curls; Scott curl prefer. unilateral. Also i add frequently incl.curls. I think best option for training efficienctly biceps are "pump&Stretch" work.

Hey Eugene,
Isn't there too much tension on the Biceps tendon when doing the single arm db preacher curl with a full range of motion (extending the arm completely)? Also you loose the tension in the Biceps. Wouldn't it be safer and more effective to shorten the range of motion and keeping constant tension on the bicep? Thank you!
Potentially yyes. It is all about the overall volume. You'll see on the bench I don't get full extension. But with the prescher bench I do!
Thank you!
I agree with you. I never like full extension on movements during my bicep workouts either. IT becomes more of a tendon pain than a bicep stretcher; however, on movements like the preacher curl and the incline curl, the full stretch leads to a comfortable and noticable pump more so then on any movements. I am shocked Eugene! I do those both and by far my favorite.
Yes, I train biceps weekly. Favorites: 1. Chin ups 2. DB Bicep curl
Nice!
I like to go with good ol' dumbbell curls and hammer curls.
Keep up the great work Eugene.

Hi Eugene - great videos ! I'm an 18 yr old weightlifter. I have always had naturally built biceps without really training them( not to mention find training them boring) but will definitely start doing these now these now for longevity!
Nice!
Thank you for your professional advices
Great vid as always, i only use cables for my arms, the resistance is beautiful...
Will give it a try in tomorrow session Thank you very much Sir.
My biceps are my weakpoint. Everything else is strong and pops but my biceps always look and feel small to me. Thanks for the tips!
i'm so glad i found your channel, thank you for this golden content !
Really appreciate the info on how the angles on the preachers can differ. I have always noticed this and try to make adjustments without failing to go back to the 'natural' placement. Enjoy your videos cause of the little details and explanations!
I'm not a woman or a powerlifter but I always include preacher curls, regular barbell curls and rope hammer curls to help grow my biceps
This is the goal of my fitness RUclips channel. So calm and so much knowledge. Thank you 😍
Found you about One week ago, and i went back to Watch all of your video, great content buddy!
Love training with preacher curls and basic dumbbell curls
Love the time stamps
RUclips game on point these few weeks!!
Thanks Uncle Eugene! :)
Thank you!
We have a curl machine at my gym that kicks my ass. The amount of contact I get in that machine is insane and is always a part of my bicep routine. Also the gorilla curls.
Love the way you teach and show exercices via very good examples and the pros and cons
Getting closer to the brachioradialis info! You're ganburu has a lot of great info. Like to hear your thoughts on bringing up forearms when some has more dominant biceps. Say an 19 inch arm and 14.5inch forearm. Thanks for all the great info
Just started watching you man can't believe you live In Vic, great vids man can't wait to look through your channel and keep learning.
Love the informative videos but love you more uncle !
Favorite biceps exercises are definitely hammer curls and the classic barbell with ez bar.
Your biceps are definately freaky! I made a chest and bicep workout vid not too long ago! Definately regretting not adding the exercises you have in yours. I am going to use these in my own personal routines. Your the freaking man! Love your content bro!
Favourite biceps exercises are dumbbell hammer curls and to super set dumbbell preacher curls with incline bench curls.
My best 2 exc. For biceps are
Cable curls;
Scott curl prefer. unilateral.
Also i add frequently incl.curls.
I think best option for training efficienctly biceps are "pump&Stretch" work.
Nice!
I´m one of those who does not train biceps as a priority, but, I will try your tips next friday
Wow Eugene thank you!!!!
Thank you!
Many thanks for the time stamps !
