I have come across this Q&A over the years because of this. Not only him flapping the cards, the random things he says and how he says those. So spontaneous.
Why on earth do people that don't like Paul McCartney come to channels like this? He's a fantastically, great, man, and humanitarian. Trollers and haters need to go away.
RaeDean Kendall Unfortunately, that’s the nature of the internet. Losers who don’t have a life like to draw attention to themselves by dissing those who have made something of their lives. It makes them feel important. Pathetic but true nonetheless.
He must be wearing contacts to be able to read those cards so close to his face. I'm 20 years younger, and my arm is now too short to read normal print. And what's with the blond hilights? It would be interesting to see him with the hair colour grown out, kinda like Jimmy Page.
The thing I really like about Paul, and all the Beatles really, is that they all address everyone very personally. This is just like Paul is talking to each of us individually. It's pretty cool that he takes the time to do something like this, and he keeps putting himself at our disposal continuallyl. It's very heartwarming.
I’m finding him talking relaxing and the way he holdsEspecially his guitar it’s very gental some people have voices and manerisoms what are comforting. Could listen all day to Paul 🎸🐈
Thanks a lot for sharing this Paul live with us ! It's like a real one on one with His Japonese Fans, with all of us, and with me tonight ! And I love that ! Great !
Very interesting Question and Answer .... I've never seen Paul McCartney talk so "off the cuff" like this. I was 13 when the Beatles first came to the USA, so I've seen a lot of Beatle interviews over the years, from their very beginnings. Paul is quite articulate in this format, ... very cool.
I wonder if Paul McCartney ever sits back after a hard days night and plays Sgt. Pepper on his record player often this day in age. I can play that album fourever and it never gets old.. The vinyl record is the 'body' which ages, but the music you can hear on it is the 'soul', which is eternal. My favorite part from Pepper is the conversation like lyrics, "How do I feel by the end of the day?" "ARE YOU Sad because you're on your OWN?". For some reason, the sound of the second vocals makes me so happy!
They're all equally 'better'. Those albums are only just getting better. But I somewhat agree, revolver has more of the rock band feel in the psychedelic era, whereas in pepper is more imaginative. It's easy if you try, ay? But I'll be honest, I love the early Beatles. Introducing the beatles!,♪ do you want to know a secret? Dooo daa doooo ♪ ♥
dreamerjazz352 I'm looking at the quality of songs in particular . There are a few times on Pepper where imagination seems to seep over into self-indulgence. Revolver's an underdog, whereas Pepper's colorful conceits are a little too obvious. I still love it, though!
Dear Sir Paul, hope you'll do more, love the background details and it builds depth. This adds a dimension to everything you've done, I like it [archivist].
The new Pepper release is incredible...literally amazing.Such clear elements...even without the latest remix the clarinets in When I'm 64 are so lovely just incredible The wind instruments in many Beatles songs always got lost in the background
I’m so pleased and happy to of seen Sir Paul on his Australian tour in 2017. After everything that’s gone on in the world since it’s unlikely he’ll ever play a show ever again down under.
You can tell that when John said “anything “ positive about his songs it meant the world to him. He said John did not hand down compliments to him easily. I think that was John insecurities. When writing down word association with Pauls name towards the end of his life he wrote extraordinary. It’s still touching that his opinions meant so much to Paul.
I was young when the Beatles began their careers. Brings back a lot of memories, that seem so distant and fleeting. I am sure these questions were all prescreened. Plus, he has answered them all before. I would have so many questions for him that he has never been asked. He is getting up in age. No longer the baby faced dreamboat I remember (and crushed over). But, I am older too. Musically, he is an amazing person. I wish all the Beatles were still with us. The Stones had such longevity, in so many ways. If only, the Beatles did too.
The man is a true absolute musical genius and any insights from Paul are important words to hear. He'll be in Detroit Oct 1-2. I"ve never seen him or The Beatles live. I will try my hardest to see him then. Seeing and hearing him play "Blackbird" or "The Long and Winding Road" or anything from Abbey Road would be indescribable.
I love you Paul. you are so natural and friendly and open in this video. I lobe when you go into your scouse accent. We love you . peace and all we need is love xxxxxxxxxx
Yeah, Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite is one of his great bass lines. Actually, that 1967 was so full of great bass lines, that it's difficult to pick one. Penny Lane is amazing. A day in the Life, Getting Better, Lovely Rita,Lucy in the Sky with Diamods, With a Little Help from my Friends...And that bass sound of his, Rickenbacker with flatwounds recorded to one inch four track tape with valve equipment...best bass sound ever.
Fer Abra Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite is a John Lennon song though. So why was McCartney saying it's difficult to sing and play bass at the same time? Lennon wrote and sang it.
I know, but when Paul says in this video that it's hard to play bass and sing at the same time, he means when he's played it in concert in the last year.
Happy Birthday Paul ! This music legend has a big month coming up in June. Thanks for posting this. Man I can't wait until Sgt Peppers 50th anniversary is available in Australia!
I have spoken to Beatles fans all over the country about the Beatles and their music. But the best time ever was when I was talking about the Beatles music in Paul McCartney's house in Liverpool, in THE house where he wrote those hits with John in number 20 Forthlin Rd Liverpool. Man I was hyper!!!
My daughter spent a semester at Lancaster University and a month to tour GB. Her group arrived at Paul's house as they were closing for the day but they let them in as a special favor. She saw the piano on which he composed "Let It Be" and they actually let her play and sing the song on that piano!!!
The pocket comment had me laughing and it was so cheesy. I love this man. Paul please live forever. God. Let us keep Paul and Ringo. You can have everyone else. We don’t want to give them back. You have John and George. :( Let us keep them.
I agree with Paul's suggestion of visiting his and John's boyhood homes in Liverpool. I took the tour that allows you inside the homes and I was very fortunate to be able to spend several minutes alone in both of their bedrooms. So amazing to be sitting in the same space that they used to spend their time practicing their instruments and dreaming of what they would become.
