Theyre more accurate in this situation, i think Michael would probably detest calling it a silly straw because to him, sanity is a construct ("the mind does not break, it bends, Archivist"). Its more common name may be Silly straw but the visual gag is that its a spiral shape..because, yknow, Avatar of The Spiral.

i love love love how recognizable all of the characters are! maybe im just really tuned into the fandom interpretations or whatever but all these character designs were really good at communicating what character it was! Joshua Gillespie seated next to the coffin, Mike crew and his booster seat of books, Jude Perry’s fiery outburst... i could go on. 💖
Jgdsghkllkfj scuttles in French was my favorite part, but all of this was fantastic, I love the character designs and the expressions and the visual gags. Fantastic job!
This is an absolute masterpiece! All of the characters match the audio and the designs are brilliant. I am wheezing - between Leitner and Gerry (the enderman noises are amazing), Tim and Jon's dynamic, the avatars, and Elias with all the staff as the kids, the Daedalus crew, and poor Rosie. Thank you so much for making an amazing contribution to the TMA fandom, this is hilarious.

Hello, just dropping by to say this is genuinely one of the best Salt & Pepper Diner (fandom-based) animatics I've ever seen! Usually, there's at least a few characters I, at least, can't identify - y'know, sort of ambiguous - but your designs and all the little details you've included? All of them were recognizable! All of them as in-character as possible for this sort of thing, too. I guess what I'm trying to say here is you've done a fantastic job on this, and I'll certainly have to check out your other work.
