im back from the dead with a new video after over 2 years of inactivity!! i finished listening to the magnus archives several weeks ago, and i still can't get it out of my head... i highly recommend it to those who haven't listened to it yet :DD

Ohh man, the bit of this where you go through the events of season 4 literally in Jon's eyes is absolutely fantastic

The final shot is by far my favorite interpretation of "The sky looking back"
My personal favourite is actually from the account of Robert Smirke, where he described that in a dream he saw a black sky with white lines on the horizon, then the sky blinked.
I know it's probably not what's going on in Season 5, but i like that think that's what Jon meant when he said that "the sky is looking back"
I love how after his "death" jon starts staring at the viewer. I like to imagine that from then on every picture thats taken of him does that.
1:04 is the best matchup of lyric-to-scene

2:07 I love the detail of the left eye being closed because the scene in the right eye is about The Dark!
Omg I love this!! The part with the lyrics “and you give it all you got” and Jon going all black with green eyes was so cool I got chills- the everyday settings mixed with the spooky reveal just perfectly captures TMA, and paired with the song it’s wonderful! Thanks for creating this!

This is INCREDIBLE. The bit showing each archival assistant (+ Elias) and then one by one changing it to show their fates…
I think the way you depicted Jon finding people to feed from was my favorite part. You used the music so well in all of this, but especially there. The way the change in the song reflects Jon’s transformation into a full avatar… I was especially blown away by the grocery store shot. Something about the way his eye appears to widen just REALLY hits. Like he’s honed in on them.
The expressions are all phenomenal, as are the colors. I adore your designs for the characters!!!
Honestly, there are so many things I could praise here. The transition from Jon escaping artifact storage and entering straight into the tunnels, then Leitner appearing just to transition into Elias with the pipe is another standout moment.
The scenes shown in Jon’s eyes, the post-change sky with the swirling cloud eye, all the touches between Jon and Martin… Absolutely brilliant, all of it.

This is absolutely outstanding oh my gosh!!! Your character designs, the movement, everything about this is phenomenal. I loved every minute, but 0:42 and honestly 2:00 onward had some of my favorite sequences. Awesome job, fantastic work!

I love how you can see little bits of inspiration from other animatics but you’ve jumped off of them and made it your own, I love what you’ve done with this animatic, it’s beautiful! I especially love how unsettling the shift into Jon going after victims is, no other animatic I’ve seen has emphasized that as well as this one

I watched this animation before i ever thought about listening to TMA, thought it was absolutely epic. I have now finished TMA. This animation, is indeed, absolutely epic.

AHHH I LOVE THIS!! could not have posted this at a more perfect time I have just listened to the entire Magnus Archives for the first time and have greatly enjoyed it and the Mind Electric is my favourite song. i love this art style so much, it’s so pleasing to view and overall just so very cool. plus this song works really well with the storyline, and you’ve done a really great job of conveying just that! my favourite season (four) happens to fall on my favourite part of the song, which was very incredible. I think my personal favourite shot out of these has to be the ‘Doctor I can’t tell if I’m not me’ one, but I love each and all of them, and how you’ve conveyed the characters and storyline. 142/10 will be watching again

AAAAH. Oh I love this PMV, the way you did season four actually in Jon's eyes, how you lined up lyrics like "carry me away" and "I order you to cower and pray.", The part where Jon was looking for suspects and it showed everyone's fate, the smooth transitions and moments of animation and so much more which is just too long to list! And it's all colored!?!? I'm not an artist myself but from watching friends and family animate and draw I've heard how much time and effort it takes to create something this detailed. This is amazing!
