The thing with this commander is that it's alot more versitile than you think. You can in fact, if you want to, just build the deck around the blood tokens and other artifacts and win trough that alone. For example the guy that deals damage to each opponent for each artifact coming into play with the trioole damage enchantment, or wincons based on number of artifacts etc etc. Having a commander that makes you actually think of the path you want to go is fun!
Gontis Aether heart won me a game yesterday in that deck. If strefan is online he can easily give enough artifacts to proc it the turn its cast and an extra turn in that deck is terrifying as it pushes big beaters fast that get better each turn quite often.
A couple cheap lands that I've seen suggested are Cabal Pit and Barbarian Ring. They are always gonna sting when you tap 'em, but they come into play untapped and have some okay threshold abilities to try and pick off problem targets later in the game.
The issue with Bloodsworn Steward is the play pattern. Since it costs the same as the Strefan you’re not actually getting haste on him when you play him on turn 5 because you could’ve just played him on turn 4 and gotten a chance at more blood tokens for Strefan to use for reanimating.
Just just bought this precon have played it a couple times against my friends with modified decks I’m going to modify this precon. I have been struggling to win at least one match I did notice I get my commander fast on the battle field I will be buying these cards u mentioned and try them out
Haste on Commander from Steward actually is really fun it’s just not necessary or anywhere near optimal. Depends what power tier EDH you play I cut it and was crushing my friends so I put some slower weaker stuff in and it’s surprisingly way more fun.
I actually think cutting the Ancient craving is a big whiff here. Yeah the card draw being added is good and on flavor but consider: Each turn you get a land drop, ideally you cheat out a Vampire and the cast some more stuff on main 2. After setup and if you have a turn or two without disruption, I think it will be all too common to empty your hand. This is why a bigger density of card draw seems important here to me, so you can ensure you get as much out of a turn as possible. Anything that can net 3 or more cards per cast is easily in the discussion far as I am concerned
I am also underwhelmed by Bloodlord of Vaasgoth. His Problem is, that he only triggers, when i cast vampires. And this deck does not want to hard cast vampires the most time. It wants to cheat them in by strefan, revival or for example Bolas Citadel. So the bloodlord ist often very pointless even when he gets cheated in by himself. To often he enters just as a 3/3 flyer. To weak and to dependent in my eys.
It's amazing how little I cared for this precon... until hearing Joey talk about it. There are some really fun vampire synergies that I didn't know
It's such a fun deck and honestly the reprint of Nirkana is worth it to get the deck anyway.
I am surprised you didn't mention cranial plating. It is absolutely bonkers in this deck

I like keeping the Laurine in, because at worst, it tutors for Kamber, which is one of the best blood token generators in the deck.

Thanks for the suggestion! I didn't know there were lands that would self damage, these will be really useful.
INDOMITABLE CREATIVITY would be fantastic in this deck

This, exactly!
Unless he gets removed. Then you can bloodsworn turn 5, replay strefan turn 6
I'm so glad Alhammarret's archive got that reprint
i think herald's horn fit in here pretty well
I can see separating the artifact token side & goad side of this deck & the prosper deck to run the strategies in their own directions.

Disciple of the Vault and Indomitable Creativity
Dogged Pursuit def comes to mind for this deck.
Baron Sengir might be fun to cheat out.
Man, Mob Rule this OP!
It's not a Precon Upgrade without Liquimetal Torque and Trading post making an appearance. :P

y run bloodsworn stewerd when u can run anger and just ditch it into graveyard using blood tokens
Huge brain play
Want to just focus on adding all create blood token cards in the deck before making my friend, who hates commander now, hate it even more
