You are a good teacher who use minimal tools to do a job that almost every body got and that is good appreciate that and keep up the good work proud to say built my own table thanks once again .
Stan just came across your videos today. You do amazing work. I have seen a lot of people making the same items you do but you don't bore people with complex ideas and talking too much about stuff that most diy people do not understand. You are a great asset to the woodworking community. Cheers from Michigan (USA).. Darrell
+Mitre 10 New Zealand im going to try to make something similiar too, ive got all the tools for it ,but not a really good place to work in. And its cold as hell here in Finland still. Cheers Darrel!

Ready for a feed, easy as! Nice one. I get nearly all my stuff from Mitre 10 because the service and advice is outstanding. And so was this video. Cheers!
These videos are too good, they're consuming my life! I just bought my first house and am so excited about getting stuck into some ideas from your videos. Quick question. How do you make the wedges to jam in the dowel? Is there a special tool/technique to stop the wood breaking at the narrow end? Thanks
My husband and I really like your videos. You did a great job in the videos and you are an excellent carpenter. Thanks for the great tutorials. I have subscribed! Have a nice day.

Cheers Gus! Good craftmanship but the design with crossed legs seems unstable to me compare to the standard four leg table, especially when you drill a hole in the joints and the width is half.My opinion is four leg table is better and lasts longer.
Do we need to send our kids to school to learn this stuff from an under paid over stressed teacher, at great cost to parents and tax payers. This is good stuff thank you.
But Stan... you butcher mate !!!! Using a steel clawhammer on that chisel instead of a mallet is gonna mash the handle over time ??? Oh yeah ... you wanna sell more chisels too eh ;-)
Good, clear, straight and no b/s without a million different power tools. Plenty of old doors hanging about, perfect, thanks mate.
You just saved us a shload of time and marital conversation about kitchen finish. You rock.
I'm just going to free hand draw a perfectly straight center line all the way down this board here. You're a legend! haha. Love the table.
I was thinking the exact same thing! Absolute legend status!

Wats the sapecies of wood you use for the legs and also wat type of glue you used? Can PVA be use for all type of woods?especially for hard wood?
Larché Jacques Clarel the wood is rimu, a new zealand timber, pva wood glue works with timber as far as im aware.
matthew bellamy very beautiful species of wood. thks for sharing :)
That's great piece of work there. Would you know where you can purchase old wooden doors
LylivMax , You should be able to find one at a recycled timber yard. SR
+Mitre 10 New Zealand good job ,hi I'm in Christchurch i just start my RUclips channel and I wanna challenge my self to make stuff like your and is anyway i can get MDF price from mitre 10
Great video. What glue did you use in the final gluing process ( It looked like epoxy). Is a normal exterior PVA wood glue not suitable?

What is the glue you use to glue the legs together?
Hey Craig, a strong adhesive PVA glue will do the trick: www.mitre10.co.nz/shop/paint-decorating/adhesives/adhesives/c/RF5244 ^James
Thanks. I bought that Aquadhere PVA glue for the angle boards the legs bolt to. Tougher than wood they say.Guess I can just use that. Cheers.
What's the size of the support beam used?
Very nicel thank you

On the Stodoys site you can find many plans for this type of thing.
Your method of fixing top to legs is flawed. It looks like the table will rock and eventually need attention.
lig? whats a lig? he keeps talking about "ligs"
He's saying "legs", his accent makes it sound like " lig" to others tho haha (:
