I am going to be starting college in spring of next year and I don’t know why but before I used to feel hopeless and without support even within my own self. But Even though I regret not making my way through college when I was younger partly I am glad that I’m making this decision now because I feel more stable and more able to handle things for myself. Growing up everything was handed to me so I think that was a contribution, but now as a 24 years old adult I feel more at peace with my own abilities to navigate this world.
@@gabrielf.712 Don't beat yourself up. Just show up everyday, have a set schedule to turn in assignments and study and keep pushing. Please don't give up. I flunked out my first semester. A year later I finished my first semester with all A's. Just finish the game!
Thank you for this video! I'm planning to go back to school in my late twenties as well. I really needed this reminder that I shouldn't be too hard on myself by making strict deadlines of when to accomplish things. Life is unpredictable and we just need to accept whatever comes our way. Also, I think you would make a great therapist! Your experience was very encouraging for me to keep going :)
I too started college at 18 back in 2014, but dropped out and now Im going back at 28 for nursing and then get my master's to become a nurse practitioner to be honest I don't really like it but I want to live in the suburbs and raise a family and five them better than what I had so I'm going to do it
1. I loved the transparency in the entire video. 2.Interesting point you made. Some people aren't ready for college at a certain point. There's definitely things I've had to learn before attending college, loans I had to pay off as well. 3. Accepting that deadlines don't always need to be met is something I'm learning as well. 4. I believe you can finish your Master's degree and I hope you don't give up, whether you do it by 35 or 40. I agree that comparison is the reason we put time constraints on goals. Videos like this helped me go back to school, and I felt the need to give that energy back out by uploading my own journey to RUclips as well. I hope you check it out!
I’m 29 and going back to college for my Associates in Accounting. I did my Bachelors in something I had no interest in because I was forced to go to a university right out of high school. Didn’t know what I wanted in life until now. And it’s the first time a decision has felt fully my own and I’m excited. Debt be damned.
Amazing video 🙌🏾 I love how we encourage each other as women. Im also on a path through to sonography school and I have my channel and share my experience on this journey, it is wonderful when we can connect with people who also are going through the journey. Keep shining Babygirl and keep encouraging others too!
Yeah life is funny that way. I wished somebody had told me to go to university at 18 and do all this and that. But, I had no clue then and neither did my mom about subjects and how university works. So out of a feeling of desperation and a hunger to do something with my life I went back at 23 to school. I graduated with my Bachelors, and in September will be starting my masters. If I hadn't of gone back when I did then my masters wouldn't have worked out the way it has, the funding, the research opportunities and job position. Just everything. It's so incredibly strange how things in life line up.
Iam doing my bechelores too and i don't regret taking a 1 year break from college. Taking one step at a time. Definitely gonna look into the book you showed.
I am 25 right now on 19 april 2024. last 4 years i spend earning money and wasting my life somehow now i want to start studying and join a medical college please guide me what should i do. thanks
start at a local community college, apply for aid if you need it and start your classes. really engage yourself and interact with discussions in class and have good grades. then transfer off to uni for further education if you want or continue at your community college. choose your major wisely and trust yourself, you got this !

Same...just started. Still adjusting and it's Hard. Am in a bad start but trying to tread on.
I’m 22 thinking about going back as well
I absolutely agree. I just finished my first semester @ 24, and videos like this are the reason I gained the confidence to try. You are NOT alone!

Your mom is a beast, a boss, an inspiration.
