- We haven’t heard from the Nine in a while, but that doesn’t mean they are absent from the game's story. Season Of The Wish is all about Ahamkara! Their story, great hunt and purpose now when entering the pale heart. Many new wish dragon stories are told through some lore and it makes you wonder how it connects to past tales. Tales from groups like the Nine, who had their own Ahamkara and killed them. Today we discuss these mysteries.

Come on guys. The ultimate endgame boss is Xur. Always has, always will be. He’s got like 5 forms. And we’ll fight him in the year 23 dlc, the taken nine beyond dark forsaken queen.

Think the nine may potentially become the main antagonists after the light n dark saga concludes. Would be interesting.
Im starting to think the nine are the actual big baddies not the witness n the darkness.
The 'Dreamer" was not Riven but her mate, Taranis. He was the one that was different from the other Ahamkaras. Wanting to live in harmony, with those who asked wishes from him. He showed Riven a possible path forward. The nine didn't kill him, Taranis survived long enough to make the final wish to save the eggs.
Considering that Xûr’s first appearance was shortly after the disappearance of Sjur Eido, and very similar pronunciations of their names, do you think it is possible that Sjur became Xûr? Just as Orin became the Emissary? She would’ve been their first attempt at making a vessel so she got a little mangled.

Ok question... Do we know if the Emissary is not Sjur Eido? I mean sure Bungie reuses voice actors but Sjur sounding EXACTLY like Orin/Emissary makes me think that...
Sjur died and was resurrected as a guardian.... Orin who fulfilled her coming back prophecy not once but twice first as a Guardian then as Emissary. And sure that is also Elsie's VA but at least with her they mask the voice and changed her accent. Sjur/Orin/Emissary sound exactly the same and Orin being a Titan is believable considering Sjur was supposed to have been a powerful warrior.
Well, it's impossible for the Nine to have created the Ahamkara. The Ahamkara/worms were in the "garden" long before the creation of the universe.
The Nine were created because of our solar system and the life forming in it.
I wonder if The Nine are actually 9 members that didn't become part of The Witness?

Yo! Destiny legit has enough lore to spawn multiple book/comic series, shows and movies. Sony just made a huge ass investment on this series and had not announced anything beyond the game. this can literally be the next start wars!!! BE SMART SONY!!

so like his egg was just chillin out there in deep space... No ahamkara cared for the egg yet some mysterious force was still nurturung it floating in deep space- his first meal feeding off a desire.
when the nine were freaking out about their children, Taranis acted upon their behalf. protecting the eggs & granting his own wish
HOT TAKE: Taranis had made deals or at least worked for the nine....
Taranis's motives & actions are alligned with the 9. .... Taranis is deeply entangled with them..... just as much as orin's motives & desires are entangled with the 9.. Dark matter reflections

The Traveler intentionally created the ahamkara!? The Nine referred to them as "the children", but "not their children". They show up on planets after the Traveler visits. They create based on desire, the traveler has the power of physical creation and wishes to do nothing more than create. The Witness complained the Traveler, didn't care about the side effects of what it created. Those side effects could destroy civilizations. That sounds a lot like Ahamkara problems. Their very bones have paracausal powers that combine the power of creation with the power of intent. That's powers of light and dark just like a Ghost, which we know the Traveler created.

Destiny lore is what pulled me into playing the game. After about a year… the lack of being able to play destiny lore is what made me stop playing. Its an over priced game with cool non playable lore, that the devs dont care to explore.

If the Ahamkara are "constructs", who made them?
Ahamkara are evolved from Ahsa's proto form
Ahsa explained that her species was given a choice, die as they were or choose to be different and grow stronger (the Veils influence)
Ahsa escaped the genocide of her species, and the rest became different, which the Ahamkara are part of, the worm gods like Xol is among the variations of what became of the genocide
In pokemon terms, Ahsa is Eevee, fine as is, but is made different and stronger depending on evolution
@@Bustuhh Wrong. As far as *_any of us_* ( and that includes _you!_ ) know, Ahsa Proto-Worm species evolved into the Hive God worms *_thanks to the manipulations of the Witness_* and have nothing to do with the Ahamkara.

Companion maybe but pet no. Only an ally that deeply respects us. What if we were to guide it, to protect it. What if we helped it fulfill it’s wishes as someone who wanted the best for it?

@@pyrocasten The nine are the dark matter inverse of the nine planets in the Sol system they are tied to the Sol systems existence and while it's never been revealed are believed to have been created with creation of the universe.

@@pyrocasten Yeah I wished they do a season well now I guess an "episode" on the Nine. Their lore is crazy with 4 wanting to do everything to help us defeat the Witness so they can stay alive and the other 5 actively wanted to destroy all of creation completely including themselves.

The Ahamkara feed on the difference between what is desired, and what is given
Taranis wanted to protect his children (the children he had with Riven), and the only thing he could do was wish for it, but because he knew exactly what he was asking for, his power killed him
If the nine did the same thing, they'd die
