For the people who want to know how to make it blur for a certain amount of time, make a key frame in the mask section when ever u want the blue to start and then do all the stuff in the video, then copy the key frame and paste it where u want it to finish
Literally what I was looking for. The way it's shown in the video, it only keys the first frame then blurs the rest of the screen.
Thank you for helping someone nearly 10 years in the future lol.
Blur does not mean pixelate, learn how to title not for views
It depends what kind of "bluring" you need. If you need to blur someones face then you can use this method.
Just use a blur effect on the top track instead of pixelate and it works the exact same
Just use a different filter
oi bloke from 3 years ago this is exactly what i was lookin' fer ur heckin gae
Thanks for getting straight into the point! Lots of tutorials will be talkin for like 8 minutes before the real part comes
Yeah thanks bro you honestly help me I look at all these other channels but they didn't help what so ever. But then I looked at yours and you helped me so much thanks
That's awesome man, I'm glad I helped :)
CasualSavage Ya. Keep it up on those good videos. If you want to collab let me know at aminatoubarry05@gmail.com
Best video and simply explained, thanks a lot! It helps newbies like me.
You're very welcome!
Thank you! The only video I could find that actually helped me out!
Excellent, thanks for this :-)
I went and left part of my desktop showing in the last video I made, and it's one I can't repeat, so this will solve the problem nicely :-)
Im I right in understanding that the effect will remain during the entire clip and that is why you need to duplicate the video? So you can use it in select locations based on how big the clip is.
In your example since you didn't change the length of the duplicate you could have just made the changes on the original video
Thank you for the quick tutorial.
Thanks for the vid! Horizantal pixelation: 0,524 and Vertical pixelation: 0,884 works the best for me in Sony Vegas Pro 15
Thanks man, I know this is a pain to ask this but what if the object you want to blur is a moving object?
yes, tomorrow
It's uploaded
+CasualSavage you do a tutorial on how to make an 3D text in sony vegas pro Please, Thanks.
keyframe
thank you so much. you teach us in a very simple way.
Thank you! This was easy to understand and I was able to get the section blurred I needed. I did have to figure out that you have to make your duplicate video only the length of how long you want it to be blurred tho. May seem stupid to have to say that but it would have been good for a newbie like me cause to be totally honest I was really confused as to how to change how long it blurred the section out at first.
Question. I dont have the square and the oval things? This makes it really difficult for me to select objects. How do i get that? I use vegas pro 11
Thanks man! It was a lot of help.
thank you again another amazing video!
+DatOneBoss No problem, thanks for watching :)
+CasualSavage I got a request. Can you make a video on how to add vignette to your videos please

Thanks so much! Very helpful and works great, even for 13
i did exactly like this but i got a whole black and a blur box.

Did you copy the video into a new track?
you need to create a separate track with the same video and blur that one out and leave the original video as it is

Nice1 bruvva. Is there an easy way to invert this effect so the whole screen is blurry instead?
how do you blur out multiple areas of the video? as in, blurring out two separate sections of the image?
Title says "Blur out image" then in his video he's talking about pixeling an image out... 10/10
+Falcon MPF You got the pixeling part right but you got the title wrong xD
CasualSavage xD lol I found you're other video about gaussian... Nice job mate.

Thank you man this'll go brilliant in my next vid! :D
yo nice tutorial but whats your intro song?
I'm having a problem. I have Sony Vegas Pro 14, and when I followed this (after spending a good hour) blurring something out, it blurs the outside of the object, instead of the object out. Please help.
nvm, figured out that I had it set to a negative mask instead of a positive one.
What do you record your screen with
Back in these old videos I used Camtasia, now I use OBS

Thank you so much man! You're awesome !
No problem! :)
Thanks bro :D
wow, nice video!
Thanks for the help!
I don't have the option for mask. I've done this before which makes it very frustrating.
Thanks for the tutorial!
I have a problem though. I'm trying to blur out a text - I select the area and blur it, but in the preview the blur is always going to the right. Like it would leave half the word not-blurred and blur the other half plus a part of the word next to it.
Can anyone help me how to solve this?
If anyone else is having this issue, hit the Split Screen View button above the preview window, next to the preview quality settings.
so i followed all of these steps and nothing in my video is blurred out, smh what could I be doing wrong?.

Thanks so much for doing this!
:D
Thanks!
بسیار ممنون خیلی مفید بود
These rectangle/oval tools on the left don't show up here.
bro can u give me link of ur first intro?
how do i disable the affect once the thing i want to blur goes away?
+ProGamingNow
pretty much this....what if tyou want to unblur...hahaha no video explains it. Once the mask is done the entire video takes the blurring effect.
Usually the way i fixed this problem is i split the clip that I want to blur and then only have that small clip blurred then add in clips as necessary. So just don't add the entire video to your timeline just the portion you want blurred.
just split the portion which u want blurred
Thanks Man!
Tnx really help me out :D
