    those air hoses connected to the air filter box are switched.
    intake long hose should be fitted in the lower hole, and the oulet short bent one should be fitted on the upper hole.
    you are reversing air filter flow right now, wich is dangerous beacause it doesn't have a metal grid on the inside. if a piece of paper should get loose, it will fly inside your engine.

    This is an old car for spare parts, i did not buy any seals for it, although what seal is it you are looking for?

  • @peugeotCitroen2CV

    Thanks for the advice
    however in the video i don't believe i reversed the air filter flow, i was only removing parts, i did not change the configuration.

    That tube underneath the throttle body going into the intake ducting from the rocker cover, what is it? Its been spitting out a gunky yellowish fluid that smells badly of fuel! Could you give me a hand?

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  9 лет назад

      It could be the PCV line, clogged up with old oil, im not overly familiar with the D7F engine i did more work on the d4f. Renault forums might be the best place to go with this issue

      I have the same question, because I want to put a direct intake filter in the throttle body but there is a small tube that is connected to the filter tube and the engine block, do you know anything?

      Give the throttle body a clean with some carburetor cleaner although remove it first to ensure all the old oily residue gets cleaned off. I had this issue on the D4F engine with it running poorly and after cleaning the throttle body it ran significantly better. I have a video on the D4F throttle body removal

      Dave Corrigan - I didnt bother taking it off and cleaning it in the end . When ours was running lumpy I found a tiny crack in number 1 spark lead (im going to call it number one because thats what the french do , so number 1 up clutch end) - as a temp measure I wrapped a lot of black insulation tape around the spark lead .. and never looked back, I was going to replace the lead(s) but never got around to it. So what it was doing was sparking through the crack on the end of the lead to the engine so the spark was never reaching the spark plug so the engine was effectively running as a 3cyl engine as opposed to a 4cyl.
      I was going to suggest crank sensor if it dosent start /hard to start but I see you have done that. - You could try disconnecting bank 1 pre-cat oxygen sensor and seeing how you get on with that, the engine will go into open loop mode though so may use more petrol but it would be a way of ruling out o2 sensor .
      Good luck hope you get it sorted. When the Clio's are running alright they are grand but when you get this erratic idling and that they are a pain.

    I dont really know, i was only taking this car to bits before it went to the scrapyard, im not too familair with the D7F engine, sorry.
    But try renault forums there would be people on there who know a lot about that engine.

    Is that the one at 3:10. I dont know for sure, the renault dealer should have them at a reasonable price, throttle body gasket might be the name im not sure, though the dealers have good exploded parts diagrams and can search for the part with your vin/reg no.

    my car is leaking gasoline near that part what can it be?

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  8 лет назад

      Perished fuel lines, bad seals on the injectors, are possibilities.

      peugeotCitroen2CV nevermind. previous owner changed valvuline and the oil was deposited around the place.. thought it was gasoline but nope.. everything working good.. cant really make miracles from 700€

    Этот автомобиль был очень плохом состоянии его предыдущего владельца, воздушный фильтр на этом автомобиле была пропитана маслом, чтобы это было давно это было изменено. Но спасибо за комментарий.

    Я не удивлен, почему у тебя такая грязная заслонка. Посмотри в каком порядке установлены патрубки. Патрубок забора холодного воздуха у тебя установлен в окно подачи воздуха на заслонку, наоборот у тебя все. переставь их местами и наслаждайся работой двигателя.

    not in the video, but it wasn't correctly assembled at first. i don't know how many miles it has been running like that, which means it's not so likely to fail, haha.

    Some engines are harder than others, i have never heard of a renault color, but try renault forums.co.uk or get a haynes manual for your car.
    I havent done a timing belt yet on this clio so i dont know much yet about the process involved.
