  • Imagine if the trains of a city all ran on a single line. This is the One Line Challenge. London was a fun map for the first attempt. What was a lot more surprising was the personal best score of 3677 which ranked 55th in the world! Playing through to Week 15 means 3+14=17 trains on a single line! What do you think of this? Leave a comment.

    In Mini Metro there's a way to get many more trains on a single train line than the game initially allows when in Normal mode.* This first season will explore each map's ability to do this in the: ONE LINE CHALLENGE.
    The goal is a single line in each city with all the trains.

    Note: While you will see other lines on the map, not a single additional line will carry trains that pick up or drop off passengers to qualify for the one line challenge.

    Playing the whole game with a single line is really a great job, it is very good to use other mistakes just as a ghost primer and get as good points as possible, I am really impressed, congratulations

      Thanks! I saw this on reddit and was inspired to push it as far as I could. I was able to get 17 trains running on a single line for this challenge. I was really surprised that it turned out to be my personal best! I wasn't expecting that. I hope you find it inspiring and consider making a #onelinechallenge video too.

      @@DaveKaufman yes this is inspiring and you were very good, so in which mode did you play it, the lines do not accept trains after somewhere

      @@everyman108 You play it normal mode. You are right there is a limit of trains per line, there's way to use ghost lines to move trains around and get around that. In video description I linked to the Reddit thread where I learned about it. Check it out. For a pro like you, you'll find it very interesting and right along the lines of the way we both ghost line. It is also fun to play.

    I love the increasing micromanagement as the entire system gets closer and closer to inevitable collapse.

    I mean, come on! Amazing.
    Don't get the interchange placements though.

      Thank you. You are too kind.
      As for interchanges in the one line challenge - it's a tradeoff obviously. You give up something to make it work. Clearly it wasn't something that really affected my final score, on this map. I was surprised by the outcome as well. It was and is an interesting way to play.

    Imagine how much he would have gotten if he did a circular route if he got this score without making it circular 😮 also how do you do this glitch?

    • @DaveKaufman
      @DaveKaufman  11 месяцев назад

      Thanks for watching...do you play? I actually normally use loops on Circle routes, but for the one line challenge opted to not do a loop. I document in the video description where this comes from. Give it a try and share with me how it goes for you. Good luck.

    How do you get more than 4 locomotives on a line?

    • @DaveKaufman
      @DaveKaufman  4 года назад +12

      I didn't believe it was possible but a Reddit user posted a video on how they did it. I linked it in the video description so you can see their video. Basically, once your initial line is full with four locomotives, when the new week happens, pause the game. Then create another line that is temporary. The new locomotive will be at the start of that line, then take a locomotive off the first line and move it to the temporary line. Now you can move the locomotive that appeared as you created the line to the main line. Then before unpausing the game, terminate the temporary line, all the trains on the temporary line will then stay on the main line. Rinse and repeat. I had 17 trains in 15 weeks on the London line!

      @@DaveKaufman i hate that, it's much like "you can't have more than 4 locomotives because I won't be able to fuck you up if you do so"

    Lol?
    In mobile ver line can only have 4 engines

    • @DaveKaufman
      @DaveKaufman  2 года назад

      You are correct, that there is s limit to the number of engines per line, normally. This was an interesting discovery. Have you ever tried it?

    • @marcin_kalbarczyk
      @marcin_kalbarczyk 2 года назад +2

      Oh so its an exploit?
      Nice to know, I've figured out the same technique but it was impossible with only 4 engines

    • @DaveKaufman

      @@marcin_kalbarczyk If you read my full video description it has some interesting details about it. But on maps with 7 lines you can only have 4 trains per line....until this. It's an interesting option. Give it a try, let me know if you have a successful run with it.
