- Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle was a party on Wednesday night. Janet Jackson went for quantity over quality. She performed shortened versions of her biggest hits and, in several cases, cut them down even further and sang them as medleys.
Jackson, who recently turned 57, kicked off her nearly two-hour show after a crowd-pleasing opening set from Atlanta rapper/actor Ludacris.
The show rolled out in four “acts,” each with its own color scheme, starting with purple and gold. Jackson is still an old-school star who shows few signs of slowing down.

I was at this concert that night in Seattle. Great show, but I had one minor complaint, and my parents agreed: the sound was by far the worst we’d ever heard at a live show at this venue, probably the worst we’ve heard anywhere. I thought it was just our seats, but this footage in a totally different area sounds very similar to what we heard. Bass range was good, but the treble part of the background music seemed loud and harsh at a very certain pitch, which completely masked over Janet’s vocals! I think it was even worse during Ludacris. Even with this slight issue with our experience, we still enjoyed the show.
