FINE artist!! Thank you for that exquisite sotto voce. Haven't heard someone do it that well for decades. Old school teaching isn't as dead as I thought it was!! Bravo!
It was a great pleasure for me working with Derek in Bayreuth. Such a great singer and person ...
Beautiful voice!
He is currently singing with the "Deutsche Oper" in Berlin - amazing!!
Lyric Baritone. Beautiful
wOw beutiful voice from Derek
Never thought that when i would google baritone singer i would see FPS Doug singing this song... But all fun pun aside, this sounds good.
Thumbs up
Lovely tenor voice

I have heard a number of expert listeners say so-and-so is an _underdeveloped_ soprano ( for mezzo-soprano ) ; _underdeveloped_ tenor ( for baritone or bass-baritone ) ... this singer is the first one I have heard who definitely sounds like an _underdeveloped_ tenor ( baritone ).
Nice.
Do you know where i can find the sheet music for this
👏👏
The violinist behind him was getting so into it 😂
Y u p
Who was the famous basso who once quipped that a baritone is a singer who is half-way between a tenor and a man?
A comment like that only exhibits his own bigotry.
Wtf?😅
According to my music teacher my voice with all its breaks is a baritone
Baritone is the most average voice for men but also the most versital. If you work hard you can sing tenor and bass. I'm a baritone that trained for years and can go Eb2-D5 with comfort. Train hard and you'll be a great singer :)
+misukiy Lambertson if you dont mind me asking, when did you start training and where? I plan on going to uop next year majoring in vocal performance and i myself am a baritone.
Raymond Gallo I'm currently at delta college :0 haha right next to uop c:. Also my range is now Eb2-F5 except my F5 is belted so it's not useful in an operatic setting haha.
misukiy Lambertson you can't belt a f5 if you are male lol
He is the grandson of Baron von Raschke
Aha, ja und?
so what ? He is still a wonderful singer!
He's has done a good job of this. Mendelsohn's music exploits the voice and is quite technically challenging. Well done. Would like to hear you sing something perhaps a bit more melodious
Very light baritone voice. Nice singing but I prefer a heavier voice for this piece.
Very light baritone actually. Old Testament Eligah was a rough looking man of the people. Fundemental prophet. Should be a real bass and an older one two!
Too light. Might be retrained as a Wagner tenor.
@@Yitzhakhazak More like a lyric tenor. I don't think he has the heft for Lohengrin or Walther, let alone Tannhauser, Tristan, or Siegfried.
Meanwhile a cat wearing a hat gets 100x as many views...
I can't be the only one with no interest in this, but had to watch it because they didn't know what "Baritone" is for their final music exam? 😂
Wut....
Fine voice but need experience and guidance.
bitch did you just say DEREK WELTON needed "experience and guidance"? Lets hear you sing
Fine voice, but there is just no passion at all.
Someone always says this on every opera song on the entire internet. Glad I found you lol. I think he sounds like he means every word.
