A very simplistic interpretation. I'm sorry thats all he sees.
So, a question; how do you treating with " the kingdom of heaven is like"?

He could be right but here is my interpretation of the parable. The virgins are just broken into two groups one representing believers who have the holy spirit one representing unbelievers who do not have the holy spirit that is consistent with the theme of the rest of the New Testament and the new Covenant. All people will be one day meeting the Lord Jesus and resurrected from the dead the righteous to eternal life and the unrighteous to judgment and death. The Bible says the fool says in his heart there is no God. Fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom. John 3:16 those who accept Christ will not perish but have eternal life those who reject Christ will Perish. So those who are saved are wise, are known by the Lord, and our filled with the Holy Spirit, and therefore are prepared for the return of the Lord. The foolish cannot borrow off the wise, in other words you cannot live off the faith of another person. And when the lord comes back it's too late to repent at that time which is why are the foolish virgins who went off to buy some oil were too late. In summary this parable was just consistent with what we know of the literal parts of scripture where there are always two groups: the sheep in the goats, the wheat and the tares, the wicked and the righteous and so on.

The 10 virgins are all part of the same group, saved. Half will go into the marriage , the Rapture, because they know Him, half will be shut out because they don’t know Him. They don’t have eyes to see or ears to hear. They will go through the Tribulation, many will come out Tribulation Saints and many will perish.
Knowing the right knowledge right now is the most important thing. It’s the ultimate test in faith.

I believe that the five foolish virgins that Jesus told," I know you not" couldn't enter the wedding banquet because:
    1) They hadn't taken on the bridegrooms name, Jesus Christ, by having it called over them during water baptism.
    2) They hadn't become one with His Spirit as the result of recieving the Holy Spirit.
