Great video! I purchased the Ninjago set and got the Books are my Passion. I sold the gwp for $50 which made it worth the purchase. I also got The Office Lego set at retail and hope I’m able to make a profit from it.
I've already started picking up the Ninjago City Gardens occasionally, since it's only available at Lego. The only thing we need to worry about for Ninjago City Gardens and The Office is whether there will be big sales for them during Black Friday. If not, then they're pretty safe. We just need some good GWP or cashback deals like you got.
@@TMDBlackborre even if it comes with gwp or insider points? The Office set has never been on sale from what I’ve seen and will likely not be on sale. I think that’s the same with the Ninjango set(new to Lego investing so learning).
@@danblackonleadership ah yea with insider points and gwp it is very well possible to get a great discount. So in that case, sure! But without i think it is just to risky, even iff it never went on sale. I rather invest in other sets that have great discounts! But iff you feel like it is going make great profit who am i to say you can’t.
I don't understand why people buy lego for investment , for example , the ninjago if people don't buy it for 450 because it's expensive then why pay 1000 if it's retired , I buy stuff in the store or online but I will never pay 1000$ for a lego set even if it's 10 years retired. If you buy lego for 1000$ in my opinion that just a bad investment even as a collector because you know you will never sell it with profit it just sit there on the shelf collecting dust for years .but it's just my opinion
I like that you’ve got some opinions that go against the common grain. I’ll be really interested to see if some of those sets blow up in price. Any thoughts on the Holiday Main Street set? Also I hope Diet Coke throws some sponsorship money your way
I really need that Coke when I start to record videos, lol. I've checked the Holiday Main Street set a couple of times, but it just doesn't convince me that it's a unique set. The only good thing is that it's $100 and often discounted to $85, with 1500+ pieces. So I'll put this one lower on my list. Maybe I'll pick up some later in Q4 if there's a better discount by then. I mean, I want to save most of my capital for the sets at the top of my list first.
Thanks. I might pick up some of those in later Q4. They're always in stock at the Lego store I went to (except for Gandalf, now Amazon Studios called him Grand Elf :p). So I'm not in a hurry for now.
I love your research. I agree a lot. Learned from previous years. What is your opinion on the Nintendo Entertainment System? Surprised you never mention. It is the first of its kind. Super iconic and a 1-1. Very very nice build and it looks like the real deal. Never sales on it. Besides recently when I could get them at 216 which was a great deal. Also like the guitar set, the Nintendo entertainment is the first of its kind. They are continuing to make more systems. In my opinion this set will sky rocket. Could be 400+ in a year and a half. For example even friends not into Lego see that set and want to buy it. What is your thoughts? Thanks.
I did some research after seeing your comments. I think the Nintendo Entertainment System could be a good investment because data shows it could be profitable with some discounts. I didn't mention this earlier because it's outside my area of expertise. I've never played any Nintendo games before, and also I don't have a PlayStation or other systems-I mainly play computer games. This can be similar to the Friends Apartments set I got last year. I've watched all seasons of Friends three times, so as a fan, I know what a good price is and how many to purchase to sell within 1-1.5 years. I think you may have an advantage with the Nintendo system due to your experience compared to mine. I'll keep an eye on it and see if there will be good sales in the future. I'll also look for more information and data since I'm not familiar with this area.
Hi Quan, great video 👍. Keep going on. I’ll keep watching them.
Thanks my friend. Your support made my day.

Never buy at retail!! Never.

@ good points. I’m still learning the Lego investing world.
the ucs republic gunship was a pretty bad investment. it is not selling at even 400$ on bricklink US.

Because people get older and make more money and want the set they couldn't buy back then

Nice picks. Pretty much agree with you. I also picked a couple of the LOTR Brickheadz sets.

Oh the Sound seems to be better
Ha, yes! I got a new microphone this time and hid it out of the frame.
