@@yeetfios your torch could be full then or if you are not centered enough some will shoot out the sides. If the handle of your torch is cold and feels heavier it's full more then likely.

I cannot thank you enough for this guide. I got a torch, & a refill. I was following the instructions on the box on how to refill but was just not getting it. I came to your video, and everything just made sense. My instructions say keep the butane can upright and lower the torch valve on to it. Of course that doesn't make sense, butane is heavier.. Anyway, I filled up my torch in less than 10 seconds thanks to your video.

Great video. Let me tell you this is one of the things I've struggled with the most is filling up on torch lighter or any it's almost like the struggle and I still have by sharpening the pair of scissors that is an art. But what one of my questions was I've learned about the air how you need to let the air out what I wanted to know is that once you feel the lighter do you still let the air out after that and you just showed me right now and I'm going to do that try it and see if it works out cuz that's why some of my lighters don't shoot that real good flame like they used to it's very low and there's so much air in there you can hear it still coming out even when you think you got it all out thank you

each time I try to refill my lighter, it seems most of the butane coming out of the can is going straight outside the lighter :). I'm trying to place the can nozzle as perpendicular as possible to the bottom of the lighter, but most of the refill still goes outside the lighter. I could tell because my fingers (holding the lighter). feel the cold. What am I doing wrong? Should I be using some sort of an adapter vs. the bare metallica nozzle built into the can? Thanks

It seems that it may have air. Have you tried placing lighter up side down for a few minutes and then releasing air with a sharp object.good luck.

You might want to try searching for your exact type of torch. The very first can of butane I ever bought came with like 7 different adapters, so I was concerned about the same thing lol.

I cant fill a butane lighter to save my life! I purge it. Then try to fill it. Then it purges all over my hands. Never once getting any butane into the lighter. I just dont get it.
