Unfortunately, I can’t get the butane into the reservoir. It just sprays everywhere. That’s with me pulling that small piece up. Still won’t go in.

Thanks, couldn't figure out how to do it, didn't realize I had to drain ALL the air first, AND that the little hole for filling it doesn't even necessarily let you fill it without taking the plastic off first.

51 here, the difference is I know it's refillable but scared to undertake the task. The hissing butane can is scary it's a disposable lighter

I've tried this with three different lighters and all that happens is the puffs of gass shoot out the base of the nozzel instead of goin in the lighter. Are faulty butane cans a thing?
Looks like this guy faked the second lighter "refilling". Tried this method and got the same result as you.
I assumed they were throw away one time use like a bic lighter. Had no idea I could refill. 😂
We have been throwing our barbeque lighters away once they were empty. Wish I had known about this before. Lol
How do you fix the clicker or igniter? I have fuel but it stopped lighting.
The small plastic piece inside that lifts the pin to let air out is probably bent. Mine has a hollow area in the middle to allow the trigger to push the plastic piece down but it passes through, not allowing the pin to move up and release some butane. I tried bending it and it worked for a while until it was to that point again. Old lighter but lame design.

I had no problem refilling the damn things, only thing is they are hard to ignite. The spark is weak and mostly nonexistent.
