Happy New Year! All the best!
Congrats on 4k!! It takes a lot of ambition to rearrange a bookstore. As always, another fun video to watch! Best of luck in 2024!
Thanks Kent! Same to you brother hope this is your best year yet! Thanks for the support!
Phil!
😁🥳
Hi Phil. Happy New Year. Thanks for another update. I caught a glimpse of the standing spinning rack you have at the shop. What titles are filling up the slots? I may be interested in purchasing if they're pocket size paperbacks.
Best of luck with sales this year.
Thanks Joe! Happy New Year my friend. It's a big variety across the board different titles. I could snap some pictures if you'd like, you could pick out some titles just let me know. Good sellers. Same to you on the sales, best of luck!
Good video. Do you have a link for your eBay store?
Google: "Book Peddler Phil" - you'll see my logo, same one I use for youtube. Whenever I've put up a link in the past it malfunctions. I'll try and correct it at some point.
Nice to see you again. And it is amazing what you are doing with the shop. Do you build your own bookcases or buy them?
The double sided ones I built with a buddy the first year, bought the lumber at a local saw mill, cut it and plained it all in the basement, then assembled them upstairs. I used hemlock but would have chosen a different wood because it has a tendency to split. Anyhow it was quite a bit of work! Memorable that's for sure... I have a bunch of pictures from those early days, some day I'll share them. Thanks for the comment!
@thebookpeddler I thought you built them because they are simple yet classy and very beautiful. You did a great job!
@@darleneaitken1620 awe well thank you! 😊 I tried, at least they're still standing!
Happy new year. Catching up on your videos. Need to link up sometime so I can interview you sir!
Sooner than later I'm gunna get ahold of you when we both have some time to chat. Sounds fun! 😊 hope everything has been going well on your end
I need a tee! lol
My sisters helping me on them, hopefully they work out, I'll send ya one for sure
I’m looking at opening a bookstore. My main question is how do you figure prices on the books?
You have a tough road ahead.
Ya know it's a little bit to explain, I could try and make a future video on it if you'd like, at least how I go about it. I think the area you're opening a shop in plays a roll, the demographics, poor, middle/upper class? That will influence your pricing structure and your ability to actually sell out of the shop... actually instead of me trying to type out an exhaustive piece on the topic, I'll put my two cents in on a future video. I'll try and get it out as soon as I can, I got a couple of funny stories actually from my start at pricing and definitely some mistakes made in the process, I'm grinnin to myself thinking of it all. Thanks for the comment, I'll do my best on the video.
@@joecordero9650 it ain't for the faint of heart that's for sure!
Happy New Year, Phil!
Happy New Year Tom! May it be the best one yet!
