    Sal's car has a full interior, full weight, and original body. So yes in shape and form it is stock. Your car on the other hand is fully gutted, does not maintain the original body and is an all out drag car that cannot be used on the street. Listen, I got respect for what you have done, you build some fast cars, but dont go hating on peoples achievements just because they do something unique to, makes you and your shop look bad.

    Finally, this car is in no way shape or form the same one that rolled off of the factory assembly line. This car has as much if not more mods than my car for it to be able to run the numbers it does.
    So I really think you should check your info first. Genetically Modified Pumpkin!!! LOL!!!! That was a good one!!!

    Sal's car still runs the factory block, outside of that I don't believe much is the same. That engine is worked to be able to put out over 3000 hp. What I find amazing it that with that power it's still perfectly streetable. He's yet to be able to get a full clean run out of it though, he believes with the a bit more work to the trans he'll see 6.70s iirc

    hell yeah bro! it's funny they had to put a 2RZ all out drag Celica against this car to have a chance of beating the full interior IRS Viper lol.

    3. My biggest point is that yes the weights are different and no doubt we are lighter. But please be impartial and compare the engine sizes 143CI vs. 600ci plus??? Come on man!!!
    Finally, I think Jason Miller did a great job paring up the classes. The cars are setup for different classes but they run similar times which makes for good racing.

    Hey dont get me wrong, I have mad respect for Sal and the Viper!!! But, I think the rules did and do a very good job of keeping us in great competition because his personal best is very close to my personal best.
    146 cubic inches Vs. 488 cubic inches??? :-)

    I think he's getting up towards 600 cubic inches with a sleeved stock block lol. The rules are great to make for even racing. Outright horsepower his matched with light weight :D

    Yuh! Lets compare :D
    Full weight stock leather interior Vs. No inteiror, complelty stripped
    Full stock chassis Vs. what I assume is a tubed chassis
    Drag radials Vs. slicks
    No wheelie bar Vs. wheelie bar lol
    IRS Vs straight axle
    Street legal, registered, driven to car meets Vs. ....not so much
    Seems to me that the Viper has nothing but the engine going for it while the Celica has literally everything else. I'll say again, that Viper is not to be fucked with :]

    never did i say that it didn't play a role at all-i said "displacement isn't the only thing in the equation" which it isn't.
    i didn't say that his car was the same as when it rolled off the assembly line-i said it still follows the same engine design-the car still has the stock bottom end/block cannot remember. you gotta give credit to full interior IRS cars!
    my apologies, i didn't know your car didn't run nitrous. i was just assuming from the crazy ET's and drag car look it did :}

    That Viper is not to be fucked with.

    it's an all out drag car with partial chassis and multiple stages of nitrous. in now way can you compare it to a mostly full interior 3600lbs Viper with the same engine design as it did when it rolled outta the assembly line.
    displacement isn't all there is to the equation my friend as you know :} there are so many other factors and to compare apples to genetically modified pumpkins isn't fair you know :}

    Hey guy I think you took my coment out of content. I dont hate on Sal or his ride at all!!! I think its a very very impressive car!!! But, what I am trying to get across here which I think you dont understand is that
    1.Sals car is as much of a race car as my car is. If it wasnt, he would have never been able to run 6s @ over 200mph
    2. My car does maintain the original body. My roof and quarter panels are original steel. My car even maintains the original firewall and strut mounting positions.

    My friend, the Celica is my car and it runs no nitrous. Strictly boost. My engine is also probably closer to the factory design running a stock Toyota Crank and Main Caps.
    And I think you need to check your math because displacement does play a huge role!!! You are comparing a 4 cyl 146ci engine vs. a V10 that at stock is 488ci. It would take over 3 of my engines just to come close to the engine in Sals car.
    Think about that for a second.... 3 of my engines to compare to his 1!!!

    Are you kidding me???? Are you really kidding me????
    You really want to compare???
    4 Cylinders Vs. 10 Cylinders???
    2.4lt Vs. 8.0lt??? And I am being kind because god only knows if its stroked any bigger!!! LOL!!!!!
    146 cubic inches Vs. 488 cubic inches??? And again, I am being kind because god only knows if its stroked any bigger!!! LOL!!!!!
    How is the Celica all out compared to that???
