Oh my god! I am an older Indian man living alone in the west. You have thought me so much that I can look after myself better. Bless you for sharing your knowledge
Yeah mate, I'm an Aussie (with European heritage)😆,BUT I LOVE having ago, especially at cooking. Love spices😎, knew some Indian Malay friends, which I tasted their cuisine from their hospitality and that's when I learnt, it's not about chilli, yes curries are not about chili, they're about different spices😋spices yumm, just had to be patient and learn about all different spices and,Wow,.. how beautiful they are. And love sharing them with others and have had many wonderful and encouraging comments from family and guests commenting how much they loved my curries. I just loved Learning and sharing, that's what its all about, loving one another and sharing. 😊bless you all
I like to use this in a three to one ratio with a bit of generic garam masala, and a pinch of extra turmeric.
Generally I find this recipe to be the best basic curry flavor.
Love this video.
Thanks Chef. Great recipe. I made 3 different powders from your recipe, mild, medium and the “bells ringing in your head” version. All excellent.
Cheers
I love making Indian food here in Scotland.
The commercial curry powders I've tried aren't as good as I'd like.
I'll follow your recipe and make my own.

Excellent recipe! I made the version of this with the coconut milk, and it was the best curry I've made to date. Thank you Vahchef!

Talk about nutritional blend...after watching this curry definitely is unique and special. I haven't seen any sauce can equal that in term of nutrional appeal.
I have just made this today, and wow it is an amazing blend,
I dabbed a finger tip and what a flavour explosion, making beef madras tonight,

You are a great teacher .

I see that your mother gave you the dinchik dinchik and put you in some kind of work, because of that we have got a talented chef teacher like you. Your mother is a good example for teachers and mothers who have playful children like you. Thanks dear Vah chef Mom, you are great!
Sound like my uncle, he and his brother were in school in India and he was always in trouble for not paying attention but when asked a question would come back with the correct answer even though he was messing about in his classroom. You have inspired me to make my own curry powder, until now I have mixed powdered ingredients like my dad did only difference is we added Fenugreek too.
I have seen your lovely vidios in many many years. You are so clever in your work, You are the best chef in the world. Carry on... Budusaranai!!!
Sriyani Qwarfordt Thanks. Happy cooking
This is the most wonderful spice seasoning for all my cooking - thank you for this video - wonderful!!
fantastic I always make different curry powder but I brighten my recepie watching you I see your mouth is watering while you do this show thanks
hahahaha... thanks
This makes cooking ever more enjoyable. Thanks for the wonderful blend ❤️
I like this video a lot. It seems curry powder is kind of a tame garam masala with not many warming spices like clove or cardamom. Also, it seems like nutmeg pops up in some curry powders from time to time. As an American, I do like curry powder a lot, even though I usually cook with a masala called "kitchen king".
best video for makeing curry!!! i love curry my friends so much i can eat eveyday!!!!
This has given me an idea. I'll make and take this curry powder on my Europe holiday. So I don't have to eat bland food. Being an Indian I can't live without my spices. Thanks Vahchef!

Any suggestions? I will also research before I add them and also try it in a small potato curry. Thanks again my Guyanese Husband will be full and happy! Hugs from Ontario, Canada

Wow always wanted yo know how yo make curry powder, thank you so much, cant wait yo have a Go 😍
Sanjay, I thank you a lot for sharing your childhood experiences, I've met many humorous and trouble making children like you when I am teaching. They are the most healthy kids in the class. Many kids of this type behave like that because they can get the attraction of friends and teachers, and they are talented in some other field of subject than that is being taught at that time.
Some teachers don't understand that and give wrong punishments to children like that.
I'm a regular viewer n follower of your recipes n cooking even though I'm cooking since 20 yrs. ....wonderful job sanjay garu

I love your food and the way you teach us, thank you very much. Where do you live? so I can take Indian cooking classes I bet your wonderful. Thanks again.
I like your recipes very much and tried them as well. the only hurdle in making them right to the taste that you do not tell the quantity if ingredients which you use. please write down the amount of ingrdnt which u used in curry powder and garam masala powder. thank u
+Marrium Fawwad Thanks. Recipes available below the videos. As per spices and ingredients, always add them as per your requirement and taste. One like more spices, one likes mild spices. So you are the better person in knowing your and your family taste.

Hi! I like so much your channel. You can tell me how make onion powder and garlic powder? Greatings from Uruguay!
Thank you for such an easy to understand lesson. I'm definitely going to make your curry powder. It seems to make sense to make it in batches instead of making curry four single serve meals. Keep up the great videos! Maureen from down under.
Thanks 🙏
I add a little bit of fenugreek which gives a wonderful taste.
Chef , could you kindly explain to me for which recipes can i use curry powder & garam masala. ex. for vegetables, , Rice & Meat..
Thank you
kumari sooriyaarachchi It depends on your choice and taste. For better understanding check some of the recipes in which these are used or google search on curry powder and garam masala to know what they are and how they can be used. Thanks. Happy cooking
Looks good.
Hi thanks for sharing, I am from the Caribbean and we have something called Madras Curry is this the same as Garam Masala. We absolutely love our curries in the Caribbean, we use the yellow curry much more than the red curry
Garam masala is a strong spice mixture which is used very little at the end of the cooking to enhance the flavour what you are talking about is more like curry powder
What, no chilli powder?
Never mind I'll add it later.
Great idea of yours, bet its fresher than the ready made version.
AHAHAHAHAHA I'm so glad I watched until the end!
I just love this guy. So fantastic.
Hi VahChef if we adding onion powder and garlic powder instead of onion fry and roasted garlic how much we have to add to the mixture?
Curry powder snuff!!! Now there's an idea, you made me LOL with that story. Keep up the good work chef😋
Really it works chef!!!
chef very nice, share with us as well how to fry onions perfectly as u added in ur curry powder.thx
Thank you
Great video. In many Indian cooking, I have seen, they use whole spices to the dish. I find it very unpleasent. Is that the normal way of cooking in India? Thanks.
Hi Chef love all your recipes and try to cook them as best I can😄. Love the curry powder recipe but cannot get fresh curry leaves so can I use dried and if so how many? Also how much onion and garlic powder would you recommend. Stay safe and please keep posting👍😁
I love doing this but all of this ingredients are not available in our area. I wish you can make this curry powder in commercial use and market it, or maybe you can recommend one. I love your cooking technique. Thank you in sharing your talent.
You can find these easily online or any indian grocery store in your area. You can get bayleaf, coriander, cumin, turmeric, cloves, cinnamon, red chilies, bay leaf easily now a days in any grocery store in the spice section. But its way cheaper to go to a indian grocery store as u will get them in bulk compared to a small bottle..:)
Good
Would love to find fresh curry leaves here without going fifty miles. Can you freeze then?
Omg these all look amazing!! I'm definitely going to try!
Thanks for this video mr

thanks for yr wonderful receipts yr receipts r the besr
In other parts of the world Indian Origines call it Masala or Garam Masala. Curry is actually a saus wich is eaten with, for instance, french fries.
Thanks for your Useful TIP, SIR
