I also want to quit my job. but unfortunately it doesn’t make sense financially. I’ve been under a lot of pressure and feeling stressed for the past a few years. I sometimes wish I was very sick so I can take a long break.

So sorry to hear that. I’ve been on the same boat for years and fortunately the wfh/hybrid helped ease a bit but still not for long. I definitely recommend taking some vacation days to maybe focus on applying for new opportunities if that’s something you want to do. I feel you, I’m starting to feel the burnout but i can’t afford to quit. I’m doing that I’m not passionate with. Everyday is a drag for me. I have unkind and toxic manager, lead engineer and senior engineer. My career used to be good but for the last couple of years it’s been horrible. I’m starting to question my self and doubt my capabilities as an engineer. I always pray to God to give me strength and keep me away from those people. I work at Boeing, i will be happy if they glad they furlough or lat me off. I actually need some advice.😢i got stomach ache and puking every morning by knowing that I will go to work and see those people again. The everyday twice a day useless meeting is really burning me out also.

@@MrMokong03 I’m so sorry to hear about what you’re going through. From what you’re saying, it definitely seems that you need to find a new opportunity. Maybe if you can take some time off like 2 weeks (or even more if that’s possible), and in those weeks focus on applying for jobs. I quit last April but in mid August I actually felt like I was ready to get back into the corporate grind. I dedicated only a couple of days to truly apply for jobs and thankfully I’ve been able to get quite a number of interviews from it. This was about 4 weeks ago and I’m still in the late stages of those same interviews.. I’m excited but I want to tell you that to encourage you that if you just dedicate a few days to truly focus on looking for work, I’m sure there is something out there. I’m planning to share what steps I took in getting these interviews soon hopefully in my next few videos if you want to watch out for that. I completely dislike my job. Every month something else is added. No raise for the past 2 years. RSUs have gotten smaller each year. I make $142k in Houston, TX. That's probably equivalent to about $400k in NYC.
I've debated walking away for the past 18 months. It's scary because I know the economy is much worse than the media/fed have led us to believe. If I walk away at 51 years old, I'm sure I'll never find another position that pays as well.
I have enough savings to last 3 years calculating 7% price increases per year. 2 year old vehicle and house at completely paid off.
I've decided that if ita been on my mind for 1 1/2 years then somethings wrong. So, I'm bowing out 12/20 is my last day. Plus I have 160 hrs of vacation paid out after that.
Hopefully, I will find peace in life and I hope anyone else that follows this path will, too.

A friend of mine also went through something similar. She managed to pull through by quitting her job at a BPO company and switched to a hybrid one.
