Wow, this video popped up on my feed at the right time. Everything you said resonates so much with me, especially this idea that has been sold from childhood that the correct path in life is through education and then get a good-paying job. As if that would guarantee happiness. I am 10 years older than you are, with a house and a child, so unfortunately I cannot just pack up my life and move away somewhere on short notice. But I am pursuing content creation as well in order to quit my horrible corporate job one day. Just today I found myself having low motivation to work on my fifth video for my channel, but after watching this video I will get right back at it :D
I have exactly the same mindset and realizations as you! After graduating and finally working, I started to realize that my 9 to 5 job was not making me happy. Yes, I was making money and able to buy stuff with what I earned, I felt exhausted and unfulfilled. I started taking long vacations to poor foreign countries and found out I was more happy living a simple life in those countries. It didn’t take a lot of money and I wasn’t tied down by a 9 to 5 job. Whenever I go back home from these long trips to work again, I became depressed and exhausted again. Every year, I would look forward to my next long trip. But overall, I want that feeling every day of living a fulfilling life. Life is short. We shouldn’t wait until we are retired to explore the world 😅

I support you :)
hello fellow banker! i understand the feelings of confusion and frustration that you're probably going through. it sounds like you'd like to change your circumstances, and to that i wish you all the very best 🙏🏻✨
I was having a dream the other day that I would die in a day or two, and I felt so disappointed and regretful... So that's when I decided to change!!
Lovely to hear that ❤
We only live once!
Good on you. Best of luck!

Hi. But the money is needed to travel to abroad or to live in the place where we like. If I have less money what can I do? Any idea?
Wow, respect for being able to make that leap. Fellow Malaysian here who is doing random content creation in Sydney haha
aahh fellow msian! have you always lived in Sydney? wishing you the best on your own content journey 🙏🏻
@@TikaGhafar I have just moved here last year so can relate to your journey. Worked in Malaysia for 5 years before moving over 👍🏼
@@WilliamRandomUploads oh nice! are you working full time atm and doing YT on the side? :)
@@TikaGhafar yes that’s right :) don’t think I will reach the point of doing content creation full time 🥲
@@WilliamRandomUploads aw why not tho? and is that a goal/dream of yours?
Love this ❤❤
The RUclips algorithm gods sent me this video and I'm so glad they did! There are so many similarities in our stories -- I am also 27 and left my PM role at Microsoft this March to pursue my dream of teaching meditation full time. I relate so much to wanting to maximize your time here on earth and not spend it doing something that is just "good enough".
Excited to follow your journey and where it takes you! New sub
my BIG dream is working 9-5 😭
and that's perfectly okay so long as you're happy and content ☺️
It was my dream too, but when I got it , I want to WFH 😂😊
New Subscriber here love your story ❤
thank you for sharing ❤
Most of a person's time is spent earning money, and they often don't have enough time to spend what they earn. Therefore, it's important to determine how much we really need."
Love your accent, could listen all day
ahah thanks!
Can you make a video about figuring out about visa to enter and live in another country? Thank you.
what are you gonna do once your working holiday finishes? do you plan to continue content creation full-time?
good question. i think the goal is to continue doing this but will decide after the year is up and see what my options are :) do you think a video on that maybe 6-9 months from now would be useful/interesting?
@@TikaGhafar yes please. That would inspire a lot of people. I also stuck in the 9 to 5 pm. But, I cannot find any other alternative to escape the corporate world
Hi Tika, can you share the books that you’ve read which have altered things in your mind? Would love to get into that and see how it would alter mine 😊 Btw, im using my husband’s YT account for this since he got a premium subscription 😂
I need income to create stability, paying of student loan and helping paying my parents hospital bill. no choice . Ive been in the same industry and role for 13 years. No complain. Actually not that bad. Depends on how to balance and prioritize everything in our life.
I left my medical job and left the USA. Living primarily on my investments.
that's awesome and congratulations 👏🏻🎉 where did you end up moving to?
@@TikaGhafar Malaysia, Portugal, Turkey, Colombia, 3 months each country. I love slow travel but I’m considering Malaysia as my base.
Very well said
Good for you.
