      @@МарияЛесниченко-б4я, there is an information page linked in the video description above. Between the two world wars, exile and genocide of the Turkic people contiuned in all Eurasia. The girl was probably one of the last settlers remained there. In Turkish poetry, a ship or a shore usually depicts the passage to the next life - or simply death. The island respesents her loneliness. So, I am guessing that she already lost everyone including the man she loved. But the lyrics are a bit confusing because the man probably had a fioncee. It can actually be herself. So, she is may be trying to say that her soul already left the shore with them - she feels dead. They are all gone and she is actually singing alone in the shore. She wishes her life to end so that she can join them. Life lost its meaning for her, she would have preferred to be gone.

    Ah, that's just awesome ! I am from Ukraine and I am in love with Turkish language and recently I discovered Karaim language, and maaaan, this language is so beautiful. Thank You for these songs, they are just adorable ! I cannot stop listening to them !
