i bought Edradour 22 yr bottle based on your recommendation and its insanely amazing . Thanks .
Glad you enjoy it!
Great to see a winner.
This is top shelf whisky for sure!
One thing I have noticed about Edradour is they do sherry the right way. The 11 and 12 year old single barrel sherry barrels are very good as well. I wish everyone did a 10 year plus finish! That is how finished whisky should be.
So where does Edradour get their sherry casks from - so the same place as Signatory - but where ??
Would love to try this one. Cheers. Nice review
Thanks for watching!
Just opening my 21 yr old expression it’s also fantastic! Definitely a GD killer!
love it - a Glendronach killer!
Hi Jason, I too am an American here in Germany. Because of your review, I am going to get this bottle. I would love to see a video of your “A” whiskeys of 2021 or 22. If you are ever in the Kaiserslautern area, love to have a dram with you.
I only do a top Scotch videos on my German channel

Thanks for the video, I now have a new list to try…

very hard to resist
Big fan of Edradour. Now I have to look for this 22 yr Edradour. I'm wondering how their other 21 & 22 yr bottles are? Great review.
good luck hunting
I'd dare to note that this is rather Caledonia on steroids than the 10 yo. Apparently maturing the spirit initialy in ex-bourbon casks for 8 years and then moving it to active, fresh sherry casks for what is more of a second maturation than a mere finish is something Edradour does on regular basis. This is how they produce their great 12 yo Caledonia and how they have been producing the 15 yo Fairy Flag. Only the second maturation took place for "only" 4 and 7 years respectively instead of 14 years😀
Still the price is as deep into the diminishing returns realm as it gets. All the 15+ yo Edradour bottlings tend to be very very expensive. Nevertheless I wish you many pleasant moments with what apparently is an exquisite malt.
Cheers!
I still have never seen a Fairy Flag in real life :-(
Where can i see your TOP x whiskies of 2021?
only in German - sorry

Will this matches with older GD18 (2017,2018, 2019) and GD21 (2017, 2018,2019) Will you still pick the edradour?
I have no idea - I have never compared them at the same time
glenallachie 30yrs old?
www.whiskybase.com/whiskies/whisky/176604/glenallachie-30-year-old
that goes for about $1300 over here in Europe - NO THANKS!
