Merry Christmas to the GOATs of scotch! This Edradour looks like a real beauty of a bottle. Thanks for sharing these reviews with us. Much appreciated. All the best from Miami
Sounds wonderful! Am a big fan of the Natural Cask Strength 12 year decanter single casks they do but have not had anything older. Also love the sherry cask peated Bellachin cask strength independent bottles I have gotten from the Netherlands. Bet an old one of those would be magic too. Cheers and Merry Christmas guy's
Man I love Edradour, it's my favorite distillery not named Springbank, I'm just a funky junky. I had a single barrell 10yr CS Oloroso that I used to mix 50/50 with Laphroaig 10 CS and talk about a peat/sherry/malt BOMB! I just got the new Ballechin 12 CS Oloroso last month for my birthday, hopefully I will try something over 18yrs in the not too distant future, I'm still a rookie compared to y'all playas, but cheers to Malt Reviews allowing me to live vicariously online as I make my way through the malt journey! 🥃
I love a good sherry and this sounds delicious. Great age and score for $300. I have the standard 10 yr and 12 yr Caledonia which are delicious. I have their Signatory 10 and a Natural Cask, both of which I have not opened. They are still a fantastic value for now, but I'm sure that will change. Great review.
My first bottle of the Edradour 10 at 43% swam to an unreal degree. I decided early on I was going to be getting more so I used the Ralfy method with a 2 oz. pour and added a full teaspoon of water 3 times to a 43% whisky and almost like a comedy sketch, it just kept taking it. I was stunned. Currently looking at a Ballechin 10 fully matured in Marsala for my next adventure. Edradour feels a kin to Springbank in the aspect that the effort used in the production of this spirit is of the highest quality.
Yes Edradour is the king of oloroso sherry these days and it's not even close imo. The 12yr Ibisco decanters, the Van Wees Ultimate bottlings, the UCF 10yr SV bottlings....so many good ones out there. And don't forget the Ballechins too. Cheers guys!
The 2022 release is a 21 year old same maturation. I agree with the price differential of something like Macallan if it were CS in that age bracket. I bet these were somewhat available maybe just a year or two ago, not so now not even in UK shops. Cheers guys!
These Edradours are pure Christmas time goodness. Signatory worked some cask magic when they purchased the distillery. Cheers!
Their sherry can be overwhelming at times but when done right they are def one of the best right now. Cheers!!

Some very good 10-12 year olds out there for sure. Sometimes hard to know which casks are the best but some gems out there. Merry Christmas !!

Sounds tasty my friends. I like sherry so I'm sure I would enjoy this.
I love Edradour! There are sherried whiskies and there is Edradour sherried whisky!
I have not tryed it, but fore me it sound like an amazing dram.
They try to make a complex Sherry bomb that is rare this days imho

The 2022 you are referring to is fairly available still at online shops like the whisky exchange. Cheers bud!
@@maltreviews You are 100% correct. I was referring to the 22 year old you guys reviewed. That one is nowhere to be found.
@@Rohit_M Ya unfortunately this one is gone but similar releases coming
Great review!
Thank you!
Picked up the 2000/21 Year. To me it's as good as you guys describe here.
where can we find this beast!
Same dont even see it on whiskey exchange or the big euro sites...
You can find the newer release which is 2000 21 year old at places like the whisky exchange. Same style of maturation
@@ericw.hwangdds8603 Check again on the whisky exchange for the newer one which is 2000 21 year old
