Emmi, you did an excellent job filming. It was quick, simple and focused -- just right! It kept moving along and maintained my interest. Finland, where you live looks so clean, peaceful and beautiful! I've only been to the airport and had the best herring there--EVER! Thank you for a relaxing video.
I really, really did enjoy your little video of a little jazz, a little work, a little study, a little snack, a little walking and a little evening meal. All in all it's more than a little class. Well done!
Thanks for your wonderful channel. Can you take us for a shopping tour to Pentik and/or Marrimekko? You also have amazing markets which would be great Spring fun.
What a meaningful and relaxing week! I visited Helsinki back in June 2001, and I have high regard for this city. Buildings, forests, lakes, and food (especially creamy salmon) are all lovely. Hope that I could have a chance to visit it again.
Hello, Great video !! I'm of Finnish descent and have met some of my relatives a few years ago who described to me the country. But it's much better to see it, thank you. Maybe some day I'll travel there to visit. I live in Arizona in the High Desert and building a sauna and very energy efficient house as I'm a mechanical engineer. Keep up the great work !
I love your vlogs. ❤️ It always makes me a little nervous though when you show exactly where you are, and on what day of the week. Maybe protect your privacy a little more. x
Just so you know, we had a Spring snow storm here in Illinois, USA yesterday too. We call it Spring in the MidWest. Oh, hey, I use Sensodyne too. Good stuff. I wish you would do a vlog on Helsinki and the history and the fact that it's a sea port city. That would be helpful and interesting. Also, Finland's juxtaposition to Eastern Europe. Thanks, Emmi La. Have a great week.
Here in Saskatchewan we always get a late snowstorm in April. So far it's not in the forecast but I know it will happen! Helsinki looks beautiful, and that coffee flavoured yogurt looked delicious!☕☕☕
"Aprilletje zoet heeft soms een winter hoed" - April is sweet but sometimes it can wear a white hat. This is a cute say in Dutch that rhymes and makes a lot of sense to me! I booked a mini road trip thorough Ireland during Easter holiday just because my bf is obsessed by the culture there, but my option number one was Finland! Lovely snaps Emmi!
Well I hope the weather picks up a bit, it's rubbish here right now, makes the whole place look miserable. Tourists are better served from mid may to mid july seeing Ireland.
This was a great video! I'm knitting wool socks while I watch it, and it was fun to see your little socks that you wear at work. I live in Washington State (USA) and the lightness/darkness is similar to in Finland. I'm so grateful to see sun at 6am and it's still around at 7pm! Spring and summer are the best in the northern hemisphere. 😍
I love that tradition you and your friend have of staying up all night to watch the Oscars! I can no longer stay up all night and function the next day either. ;) Thank you for sharing your lovely week! Have a great week!
Thank you for sharing some moments of your week. The scenes of your city has made me put Helsinki on my list of places to visit in the world. Thanks for sharing 👋
Lovely as ever. Intrigued by the thought of making blue cheese pasta 🍝 Just got done with season 2 of Bridgerton! It always amazes me how beautiful the Regal era clothing of early 1800’s then end the century in the huge bustles Ugh
Hi! Enjoyed your Vlog! Who wouldn’t love a massive 🥐 pastry! I hope one day you can give a tour around your library!👍Thanks ! As always look forward to your videos! Really makes me want to hop a plane to Helsinki😉
Hi Emmi, I liked it. Nice to see some impressions of a normal week in your life. Although it's not every week oscar awards. "While everyone is working I sleep" made me laugh out loud 😂🤣 Keep on vlogging. I enjoy it very much.
My pre-lockdown workplace (Costume Department of the film Nightmare Alley) was nominated for an Oscar this year. We didn't win it, but it was a thrill to be nominated, and I think the win by Cruella was well-deserved!
I loooove your videos this one is very nice love to see the sunrise and beautiful peaceful and clean city and your grocery shopping I hope the blue cheese pasta came out delicious I love pasta 🍝 😋 ❤
Thank you so much for sharing this! This is the first video of yours that I've seen, so I just subscribed. I lived as an exchange student in Helsinki forty years ago, so this brings back wonderful memories. I lived on Urheilukatu, and I used to wander the city streets for hours. Helsinki has definitely changed, but there are still enough recognizable buildings and sites to remind me how much I love Finland!
I hadn't had a croissant in years and then could not stop thinking about them after seeing one in your other video, so now I eat croissants again. I forgot how incredibly delicious they are! (Australian croissants). 😊
Thank you Emmi for the peep at your week. So peaceful and the views of helsinki were splendid. Here Picardy the we had been having tee shirt weather but we ended un in the deep freezer by Thursday and the big joke for the first of april was snow. I threw winter fleece on all my pots. The poor plants don’t Know if they are coming or going. And temperatures will go up again on tuesday. Talk about a roller coaster! Have a great week.
Hello..greetings from sunny Cape Town South Africa...have never felt snow..it looks so beautiful but pretty 🥶. Thank you for sharing your beautiful city xx
Hi from Ontario Canada! I really enjoyed your video and I agree with the other comments congratulating you on your filming! Our winters are long and very cold where I live and we always get a final snowstorm in April as well! Wishing you and your family a Happy Easter🌷🌼🐰🌷🌼🐇🌷
I am coming to helskini in a week and this video pops up… it’s a sign for me to go lol. I will be there for a month and half, coming from the states! Loved the video and editing :)
Thanks for showing my beautiful ex-hometown. I was born and raised in Maracaibo, Venezuela. Me & my parents moved to Helsinki when I was 14 yrs (my mom is originally from HKI). I recognized a lot of familiar places, like at 6:38 you were near Ruoholahti where I lived after I was graduated. I think that bridge was a Crusel's Bridge or 'Lepakkosilta' (Bat Bridge). I little bit disagree with the fact that 'usually we have the last snowfall in April'...well, it's possible but Unlikely. The climate in Helsinki and the whole of Finland is unpredictable, you never know what you will get lol. In any case, very often Helsinki has clear signs of spring to be seen in April, in fact, I've seen buds in trees and bushes as early as March. And you're right, Helsinki is absolutely at its best in summer, my fav places to go to enjoy the summer were Tervasaari, Merisatamanranta, Seurasaari etc...and of course Ruoholahti channel which I used to live next to. Today I'm living in Las Palmas, working in the health care sector. We have no snowfalls here lol, but also no fresh water + relatively dry nature. Ok, sorry for the long comment, didn't mean to bore you with it. All the best to you! 💜 Te mando un fuerte abrazo 💜💕💜 mástarde, amiga! ❤️ Hasta luego!
Thanks for showing your week in your life!😍I also watched Bridgestone and it helped me out a bit not thinking about the bad things that are happening around the world…. An escape into an other era….. hope spring is also soon coming to Helsinki…. Stay safe!😃
I live in the Northeast of the US we still have bouts of snow as well were all waiting for Spring We were all shocked at the Emmy's this year The event was sad and disappointing. I love your videos Emmi I enjoy the peace of them in such perilous times we live in right now.
Hi Emmi! In love with your vlogs. Look so relaxed! I am also vlogging in my free time and I just got inspired a lot by your videos. Thank you. From another fellow who also lives alone in Helsinki :P
I’m jealous that it gets light so early in Helsinki. Since we went on daylight saving time at the beginning on March it doesn’t get daylight until after 8 a.m. here in the Midwest U.S. I like early morning sun since it makes it easier to get up. Your salad looked yummy. I started using white balsamic vinegar on salads last summer. Off topic of the video but do the people of Finland practice Hygge? I have Meik Wiking’s book on happiness which talks a lot about Hygge. Pia Edberg’s “The Cozy Life with Hygge” is also good.
Hi, thanks for the nice video. I've been to Helsinki just once, but I love it. Concerning swimming pools, have you ever been at Clarion hotel 's swimming pool?
Hey Emmi! I hope my message finds you well! Your videos have boosted my wish to visit Helsinki, and I'm so lucky I won't have a time limit since I recently changed jobs and work exclusively remotely. Seeing your daily life, but also the way you choose to spend your free time fits very well with the things I like to do. So, I thought you might be the right person to ask for some tips on what to do and which places to visit in Helsinki. Suggestions from a local are always much more noteworthy than those in any travel guide. Perhaps, this would be also a great video idea. What do you think?
I have a couple of favourite Helsinki activities listed at the end of my Q&A video, but I do get this question a lot so I think it would definitely be a good idea for a video of its own. 😊
Hey, Emmi! It looks like you had a lovely week! The last few days here, it's raining and VERY windy. Hoping it will get nicer soon. All of your food looked delicious! I'm having a caramel iced coffee, and some mini cranberry orange scones! :)
Good video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!

I love the good vibes from this video! it is refreshing and full of positivism, thanks!
