thank you for showing how you can clean up the wires an shave a little weight an a little goes along way on these micro b buggies an even not putting heat swrink back on the ends because theres no way for the wires to touch because the way they are an i am wanting to learn all i can about these micro b buggies because i got hurt about 5 years ago an i am a 52 year old man an i got all crushed up doing storm clean up in florida an i am in a wheelchair now an in this nurseing home we have alot of places to race these buggies an i have built me a lcg crawler an i just want to say thank you my friend for the great imformation on the small buggy because small things really make a different keep up the great work an videos i will be looking for more ok thanks
Hi there. Thanks for all the effort in making the video. I did something different from you. I removed the entire plastic parts which holds the esc and battery and merely let the ESC be exposed at the bottom while keeping only the top half and let it rest on the metal chasis. The metal chasis acts as a giant heat sink for the ESC in such a configuration. Then I squeezed all the wires on the chasis and it sits comfortably there. After essentially removing everything, I was able to use bigger sized Gaoneng batteries which are 1/5 the price of the Losi battery and fit it inside the whole setup and close the cover. Runs well and longer too. I get a 25 min to 30 min run time with one battery. I got 6 at hand now for less than USD 50. Thanks once again for inspiration.
my friend you do have a video of what you did to your micro b right so we will know what you are talking about or are you just teling us how to do it my friend because i am getting into the mini hobby side of the hobby so anything helpful is greatly liked thank you for the comment an i will be checking out your page to see what i can learn
@bobbyspenser7304 Hi. I took out the part LOS-1772 and the whole chasis is empty and bare on the inside. This allows me to put the esc without the bottom but save the top cover onto the metal base of the chasis (which acts as cooling) and the rest of the wires can be stuff at one side and there's still tons of space for the battery I showed. No discernable difference between that and stock. I think I have a winning combination. Now I just need to make sure I don't burn out my motor because I got too much run time.

Great video thanks. I’d like to do the same to the two micro b’s I just got but l’m not that confident with soldering - you make it look very easy! If you ever do a tips video on how to solder well, I’d be sure to watch, nudge nudge:)
A few wxtra grams of weight lost thats nice and looks cleaner. I will do this when I get one as Im competent in solder I have built many racing drones from scratch. Its a god skill to have an a must for RC chhers for the video.
Yeah, awesome I appreciate the video. I’m just getting into the micro B super cool little buggy for sure. I just subscribed Thursday, October 31 watching now at 4:38 PM. I’ll catch you on the next one.👍👍
I took the steering linkages and flipped them so they don't bang against the shocks I think it looks more natural now too because the kink in the steering linkage matches the shocks it just looks like they fit better. Also I don't know if it's making a trick on my mind, but I think it steers better/tighter now.
Next time I solder I have a holder clamp . I always need an extra hand , lol . Looks like you did well with the soldering but once or twice could have used an extra hand . What does everyone use as a holder ?
I just wanna find an esc that will work so I can use a dsm receiver. I mean why would spectrum make a car with electrons that work with its other equipment right? God forbid by dx5 binds to another spectrum product
Yes, please show us how that’s going to work. I do a lot of racing with the micro B and have to have the transponder. Looking forward to the video, thanks.
you should have weighted the rig before you did this an any other mods that you are going to do that wat you would know every thing you have taking away as far as weight an should know the front to rear weight also but i am just like that i hope i am not being a bother to you by asking all the things because it seems to help me an i hope you learn as you go along in the hobby because this hobby to me is learning from each other

Nice video. Thank you. Nice to see someone in uk into a micro b

Great video!! I've just ordered mine and can't wait to do these mods. Thanks for showing us 👍
I just picked up one of these today, love it in my basement lol. I hate all the long wires too im going to do what you just did thanks for the advice!
Just got mine 😂
Iv got a micro usb soldering pen just perfect for it too from the models I make todo the internal lighting on them
Perfect for this

"If you dont know what you are doing, ask someone else to do it". Thanks Charlie, I'll bring mine and Tony's to next meeting for you to do :)
Very nice ideas. Makes sense. Thank you
Why not also remove the ESC/RX cover for better cooling and weight reduction? I guess you can use thin heat shrink it if you want protection.
That micro b looks Awesome!!!! I gotta get me one of those
Yes there’s a great little car and have a lot of potential. It will be interesting to see things develop
@sussexmicrorc I hear You there Brother
Nice 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yes, make a soldering how to. I'll watch it.
I replaced the Velcro with Neo-Magnets

What if I want to plug in a Y connector for your lap counter . With the solder job it’s no longer possible
@@allimikej I will do a separate video it is better not to use a Y lead.

Did you weigh the copper you removed?
Weight reduction 👍
I came across this channel, but the music is a little annoying man. Great video though
Its not that serious
It’s always this serious. If someone enjoys working on their car as much as driving, they are having equal amounts of fun
Then why did you even comment? Does your daddy work at Losi or are you naturally just offended by everything?
What difference does it make
