my friends and i still love 2strokes, i have a 92kx250 thats awesome in the woods, i still ride my 1980pe400 pe175 and pe250 , not quite as fast or as good brakes but still very fun and competitve, not running the a class either, its 95percent rider, i pass guys on ktms and betas on my old pe s ,and i get passed by ktms and betas also, dont you love the smell of bean oil? some of yall may not know what bean oil is , lol punks, whippersnappers
You have to try tubliss for the woods with that 18 you will love it, That and a flywheel weight and you wont believe how much traction you will have and no pinch flats or bent rims, you can ride on 0 psi with a 6 ply tire if you wanted to or got a hole in your tire and wanted to keep racing.
Believe it or not, the bike does not have a flywheel weight. I may try one eventually but I still love the MX-like Top End pull. For gearing I go stock front and one or two teeth up in rear.
Drop a few tooth in the rear or add a 1or2 in the front boom woods gearing its longer so better for topspeed & cooling and its smoother to ride longs distsances
I always wanted to take a motocross bike and make set it up for the woods, do you think it could be done with a 4 stroke as well? by the way i like that bike great job with it
