I've seen IRTX GEN2 in Kansas City, stationed at the autorack terminal near Argentine Yard. It too is an ex-LIRR unit originally built for D&H as number 3013. The Missouri Eastern still in UP yellow reminds me of the Missouri Pacific locomotives from 1982-88 Adrian and Blissfield 1751 is an EMD GP9 built in 1957 as Grand Trunk Western 4545. Adrian and Blissfield acquired the locomotive in 1991and became their number 1. It became 1751 a year later and pulled passenger excursions and freight trains in Michigan. I don't know why this locomotive is in Houston.
Thanks for the Education we regularly receive on this Channel. This separates your Channel from almost every other Channel. Thanks! 👍🙏
That ALCO switcher is either headed to Railway Service Contractors or the autorack ramp at BNSF’s Argentine Yard; both are in Kansas City.
My Uncles Frank and Mike were welders at ALCO, during the Big Boy build era!
