I think you said during the honeymoons (just checked, it's ep 4) that she didn't seem to fit with either of the women friend groups and how even then they were being hostile to her choice of not being intimate/not wanting cameras around when she is intimate with her partner. Honestly, in her shoes, that alone would tell me I couldn't trust someone who mocked me for taking things slow with a partner.

Thanks 4 reminding me that the new episodes have dropped. This series has been so triggering and caused so much anxiety. But thankfully the last episode was full of good anxiety, and I believe to be the best and most beautiful outcomes/weddings in the Love is Blind franchise.
I feel so sorry for Renatta....Ale is abusive ( psychologically and emotionally so far)...we saw the agression and yelling, which his business partner and roommate emphasized also. I saw, as you and her friends, Renata already loosing herself and self- confidence, and is too submissive and scared not to aggravate Ale . Unfortunately the narcissistic abuse is evident, and so early on 😢😢
In the credits of the show, they have a line for the word «psicóloga» in Portuguese, so I am guessing it means psychologist ? And therefore a psychologist was assign somehow to the show ?

About Ariela & Evandro I could feel that he was “acting” weird but it doesn’t change anything about her disgusting behavior towards everybody. About Marilia , I totally understand her in this episode and I love her in general BUT I think that she should listen to her guts more than listening to other people’s opinion.

I'm pretty convinced the rumor floating around that Patrick wasn't there to really get married seem to be true. Also, I think he went on the show to get enough money to get hair transplants. I don't think he ever had any intention of leaving his past GF.

I have a Master's in Psychology and while I cant diagnose anyone, Im specilating that Ariela has borderline personality disorder. Those individuals are terrified of being abandoned but end up alienating everyine because they cant regulate their emotions. They're usually attracted to chaotic relationships that mimic their childhood. She needs a lot of help.
I was thinking the same, and that is why I have so much compassion for Ariela ! Joga and sport is what she needs to best regulate the BPD, and to talk to a psychiatrist or psychologist, as well as the people around her to know how to approach her (when she is triggered or to avoid the triggering) ! Generally it is not treated with medications. It is a painful and hard life for them (the constant mood changes, the emotions unregulated and intensified *100, the constant pain and emptiness...) but there are a lot of positive characteristics of these people - they are usually very passionate and fanatic in everything they do - from their profession to taking care of people (they have a lot of love to give), loyalty and trust from people are very important to them. BPD is often developed in the child (scape goat) of a narcissistic parent.

The sexism here doesn't expect women to be just submissive, but to take control FOR the man in many ways. but i don't think Ariela was right in the way she acted, I just think culturally we're very used to this happening and we tend to expect this behaviour (wich we shouldnt). Ingred even says this once “no one is crazy for no reason” and at the beginning Patrick says he wants a spoiled, angry girl. which sum up a lot of our common thinking, I guess. I reckon You cannot connect 'cause there aren't absolute villains or ultimate heros, but each person is portrayed with positive and negative traits, as we all mostly are in reality. That is why I liked the edit, I thought is progressively done, is more realistic and without provoking more internet hate on villain edits. But I'm thinking all non -American LIB are in-fact done in the same way - without the black & white image of characters and the cheap forced drama which can be addictive, and is certainly more easy to watch than the drama with Ariela - which is disturbing or watching Ale with Renata which can be triggering for survivors of narcissistic abuse.
I love how often you guys say “I like her/him” it’s so nice and breaks up how awful some of the other people are showing up on the show. It’s a good reminder that not everyone sucks on reality tv or specifically this show and season.
I feel hard to express that much negativity over Evandro with solely basing myself on the show (on Netflix) (the way it is edits). True, some episodes portray Evandro with words and actions that I do not agree with how he handles things. However, I feel a lot of Evandro's comments are related to what was say in the spoilers (as in comments) and it is fine to add more context with spoilers but I do feel that you have the right to react to the show (solely based on the episode and want to avoid being spoiled before even watching the episode) and then maybe do a recap which will discuss how the perception and thoughts have evolved with further information that are reveal outside the show. I sincerely hope this does not discourage or created an anxious feelings because of a few comments on episode 7.
We appreciate your thoughtful check ins. We were talking about this IRL and we’re currently being paid mostly in appreciation and the amount you empathize with us does mean a lot. Our biggest issue right is that one of the most questionable marriage decisions got spoiled in the comments. We’re not quite sure how to move forward. We love talking to people day to day but maybe going forward we’ll have to avoid comments until we’re caught up on released eps, which is always made hard because my phone gets alerted all the time, ha. I agree with Renata’s friends opinion on Ale because I have the same but I have to be fair, these women were openly rude. They were all talking at the same time and not in the nicest way.
