Bore small holes in the deck to let any grass seeds in the hay fall through , they will add to your pasture in the spring
Al. Watching you mix up the goats food was like watching an artist at work. And your goat feeder, another masterpiece. Serious man. You are one with your farm. So cool. All the best brother.
Little man is doing great with the other boys! Loving those shelves in the feed room and the awesome new hay feeder. Y'all are a great team!
3, 6, 9, This life we live is so sublime. Be Blessed!
IShallNot BeSilent ive missed some videos, why was little man moved? 🧐
@@nicoleist - They moved him over with the other boy's so while one is on a date with one of the girls, the other has a friend to help keep them from yelling out so much while separated. I don't think it's called yelling but I don't know what it is called lol.
IShallNot BeSilent ahh ok! thank you for the reply!! ❤️
Feeder looks great, good job Al and Gina. Have a blessed day.
I'm in Minnesota and we just had freezing temps in the negative teens and now we are in for a nasty snow storm predicting up to a foot of snow over the next 24-36 hrs. Buckle down and get ready for it cause it's heading your way.
I love that feeder. I want to build one when I get my goats so I will be watching the videos a thousand times. Thanks, Al and Gina
Gooood morning Al. I got up at 04:00 to watch Lumnah Acres show, so coffee is in hand Sir and it’s time to do this. Have a blessed day.
I love watching you and Gina work together. You make the most fanciest looking farm equipment!
Nice done! You really build the nicest stuff with wood, and put far more care than something commercially made would have. You both did fantastic with the new portable hay feeder with a roof!
How soon before little P poops in the tray and they all start avoiding it and complaining LOL
Good mauhnin Lumnah Acres! Hay feeder is a big success! The girls love it! Can’t wait to see what you are up to next! Oh the anticipation! Lol! Stay warm and take care!
The goat hay feeder looks very cool! Love how we will do anything for our animals and pets :D Good work Lumnahs! :D
Looks totally awesome. A family that works to together prays together. Will always be together. All Gina Olivia and all your anmals. Thanks for sharing.
You guys are awesome. I love watching you create and build things. I’m an older lady, who do not do any like that at all, I love watching you. You do amazing work and end up with amazing creations. Keep on building, and I will keep on watching. 🔨🔧🧰🛠⚙️🔩🚪🤗
I love that design! My husband is planning on building one like that once he finishes with our butchering shed
A polar blast. The coldest place on earth for the past few days was Edmonton Alberta. Over minus 50 degrees Celsius. Compared to that its spring time by you there. Lol
Lumnah acres, single handedly keeping 2x4 manufacturers in business! I LOVE IT! Awesome job to both of you! I may have to copy this one 😂
Looks like there's room to add another panel to each side of the boys' feeder's roof so they don't get wet. 💜🌞🌵
Exactly what I thought too.
they need to get wet because they stink ... heh
Zippy TheChicken the girls love that aroma..... 🐐
I do not blame Gina for not wanting to do roof work, I have yet to finish the video of You finishing the roof on the barn Al, Heights are just not on my list! SCARY.!! But I did learn that their are magnet boots for aluminum or steel roof workers, I found that interesting..Haha, incriminating goat prints everywhere, too funny.!!. Great job on the feeder!! You know, I can not tell you how many homesteading channels I subscribe to..There are Many!..By far, I really enjoy your videos the best..Even on days that don't don't well (i.e. broken counter, Hot dogs) Your family bring so much Joy no matter what..Thank you for sharing!!
You have to have some of the best built projects on your modernstead. I love watching you and DIYfferent build stuff. ❤️
You have the 3 amigos and we have the 3 stooges!
Arms Family Homestead howdy Daniel!
Your farm is beautiful....thank you for sharing.
Hey Al and Gina, we woke up today at -2 feels like -10 17 Jan and later today in for a winter snow storm into Saturday, with winds 40 to 50 miles per hour. I sure hope it by passes us again. Nice goat feeder
Just finished watching this video and really enjoyed how well you guys work together.
Wonderful project! Loved it! They will enjoy it for years to come!💕
Your homestead looks nice. You are truly an artisan and you have a talented wife. Your building projects are awesome besides functional.
Great feeder think about adding gutters for a rain water catch system on one end.
Excellent idea! Easy to do for any roofed structure really.
Fantastic job. I really love all your DeWalt tools. You and your family are the best
Here in Michigan we are supposed to get the cold and snow this weekend. The feeder looks great Al and Gina. God Bless.
They said that last weekend & we got next to nothing in the middle of the Mitt. Mostly rain ;)
They are telling us to expect 3 to 5 inches of snow here in NW Ohio.
we're expecting up to 60 mph winds today in Colorado !!!
Your content is awesome .... always enjoyable to watch !.... I also like how you incorporate your prayer around the dinner table !
Thanks for sharing your projects with us!
This is absolutely stupendous, Al! You and Gina make a great team!
Gina, your french braids look beautiful! And your BEST DIY portable HAY FEEDER w/ ROOF is looking great!
Good job you guys! It's beautiful! And, fun to watch!
Another great build on the Lumnah Homestead! Looks like the mule comes in handy!!!
Good morning Lumnah Acres Thank God we. Are little cooler 57* wishing it was like this Most Of the time The new feeder looks great 👍
Love your goat herd. Can't wait to see the new babies this year.
Love when Al is shown pulling his latest project out of the barn
Makes me think of the film about a Time Machine being towed. I am also married to a cabinet maker ,so know the feeling of pride and accomplishment.
loved them movies too :)
We love your videos and watch them from start to end. You have inspired us to become content creators! Till your next video, take care.
congrats on your new adventure!
Am addicted to your channel!
That's a sharp feeder you guys!
13° here finally. Our ground was not freezing and giving me headaches. Doc says I'm allergic to the bacteria in the mud. I didn't realize when moving to the valley that they don't freeze up like on top😜.
Have a good weekend we might even get some snow!
JO JO IN VT 💕☃ 😊
Yes, that's one beautiful feeder. Nice work.
Another great project...you make it look so easy!
Al you sure are an awesome builder. I don’t think there is anything you can’t build. Love the goat feeder. Can’t wait to see what Gina has up her sleeve with the pallet.
Nice job on the feeder! I’m getting some good ideas for us.
Love that you have a big garage door to pull it through. Looks good friends.
I'm in Ma, we are getting it too! Means homemade soup and sandwiches! Keep a body warm!
Yes we have one coming, and the bad news is that it's been so warm that I will have some pears beginning to bloom when it gets here. They are forecasting 26F. If it's no colder than that the flowers and advanced buds just might be OK.
thats a bummer!
@@LumnahAcres it is, but good news is that these particular two pear trees are very old, probably seedling but very good, and while they are so low chill that they often bloom too early, somehow they don't usually get yacked. But we only go below 26F about every other year. That's the magic temperature where I have to pick the citrus that's still on my trees or loose it.
It turned out looking awesome! Now I’ve got to build one for my Capra hircus family! 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice feeder! Looking forward to seeing what your next project will be.
Feed your chickens some greens and they will lay more eggs for your winter feasts! Good stuff folks!
This is nice! The grain can fall down below the hay. We live in Gainestown Alabama and it is 73 here today, low tonight is 55. It is suppose to be in the 30 Sunday night, and high of 60! That is cold to us! I can't imagine having any weather below 20
i was brought up on a farm in England, when we cut hay bales, we always cut the bale twine at the knots, you then can use again for all sorts of jobs
The hay feeder is cool!! Oh and about the polar blast, yep, where I live an arctic blast is moving in as i right this. Love your videos!!
Great Hay Feeder, especially since it was all just in your head. You and your wife did a great job. Stay warm. We have a cold snap coming this weekend here in Florida, not suppose to get above 50. ;)
I love watching y’all build things! You make it look easy. What’s the next project?😊❤️
The video quality are getting better, perfect on my tv.
Your construction is impressive. It's better than Amish made. It's Lumnah made!
Hope is pure perfume to the bucks. She is so sweet! I discovered you due to her. I’m so glad I did!!! I just love you all!
Ha! I'm with you Gina, no high places. You stay on the ground and cut boards and pass them up. Great job both of you on the hay feeder.
hello, you can screw some vertical bars into the goat controller to prevent the goats from entering the feeding compartment as one of the goats did.
Love the teamwork you have. That is a true strong loving marriage. Respect for each others talents and opinions. Your carpentry skills are fantastic. G-D Bless both of you and your family.
Oh that littl'p jumping right in the feeder!😀
Gran trabajo! me encantan todos vuestros proyectos!
Moi Rodríguez great work! I love all your projects! (For those who dont know Spanish)
Great video the feeder looks awesome
gooood mornin Al, and all the other modernsteaders. its a beautiful, partly sunny 21°F outside here this morning, 72°F inside the cave in my cube. The atomic clock shows 9:45 in Al's neck a the woods, My coffee is good~n~hot, sweet and light, Just like the better 1/2 😎! dad always said I should learn to drink it black, may do that someday .
Al, good job on the hey feeder! looking forward to the next project foshizzle, Everyone have a great day & a better tomorrow. I got some traveling to do. See y'all back in the future.
Love the new feeder and looks like Hope a dope does to she's my favorite ...I was just thinking while watching YOU both build the new hay feeder how blessed Olivia is ro have parents that work well together and are a great role model for her and great teaching on work ethics. Well until next time have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend.
Parental examples ARE so important. I think when TV shows dropped Father Knows Best, The Nelsons, etc. our society went down hill and became so disrespectful to parents, other people in society, and BULLYING has skyrocketed. HELP!
@@rosejafari8917 I so agree I REALLY hate tv now a days
Rose Jafari there is nothing on TV to watch! It’s terrible, so are the movies. Would rather watch Lumnah Acres.
@@patmaier6917 exactly i cut off my cable years ago . I noticed it became my God and so much trash on tv .
Thanks for the idea. I need to make one for my goats and sheep
We have snow/ice/rain coming in this weekend. It will be cold but don't think it is supposed to be a Polar Vortex. Hate those! We've actually had a mild winter so far, even though we have gotten some snow, it hasn't lasted because we warm up. Been in the 50's and some 60's, almost 70! So I can't complain to much about the temps. I do hate the back and forth in temps though, the body just can't adjust. The hay feeder looks great and it looks like the kids love it too. Well done you two!
The hay feeder turned out awesome!!
AL YOU AND GINA MAKE A GOOD TEAM THE NEW FEEDER IS COMING A LONG THE GOATS LIKE IT
Another good job but you always do good work you and them Mrs. that’s why I keep watching so keep up the good work work God bless
You are one hell of a carpenter, nice hay feeder.
Awesome ....thanks for the time and effort its inspiring... p.s tacos ;look great
I do enjoy watching you ,two work together.
Thank you for sharing your journey and God bless.
The three amigos rocks !
Shouldn't that be the three amigoats?
Absolutely. Great variation. Well done. 👏
That almost whooshed right over my head, took me a few seconds. Well played.
Oh man, you beat me to it
Lol
Perfectly stated! Drop the mic, walk off the stage, you sir - Nailed it!
The new hay feeder looks great.
Not bad looks good serves it's purpose. Good job you left the gate up so they could lay their eggs. I hope you and your family have a great day
Awesome build you two!
Good morning Al, temps in Cleveland 25 feels like 16 cold cold.....
" Sheila "
Al, Corner pieces for vinyl siding are perfect roof caps for that rippled roofing. That's what i have used for the 4'x8' chicken coops that i built. Good work, over the top hay feeder! T-Wrecks
Did you look inside the coop for yesterday's eggs? You had left the nest box door down. That is a schnazzy hay feeder! LOL, Little P is always in the feeder! Blessings to all.
I’m sitting here in western Illinois under 2 in of snow topped by 1/8 in of ice and it’s still misty/raining. Waiting on the polar vortex to drop temps to near zero. 😕
But I so look forward to watching your family and especially your goats(Hope’s my favorite).
Cool hay feeder . Love your goats. 💖😺
It’s so refreshing to see happy people and happy animals. You’ve probably been asked this question 100 times what do you do with your goats
A project for the future bring NYC in the fall alongside the barn and connect to the electrical supply with lights up your egg production and still have a mobile chicken coop
He likes to give the hens their natural resting period and not force laying by adding lights. Just his preference. 💜🌞🌵
The egg laying capabilities of a chicken
Is only 24 months but the chicken can live to 10 to 20 years not fit to eat after 3 years
Excellent building project guys, it looks awesome! The heavy gauge wire panels are just what I need for my headache rack I'm close to getting started on for the now completed carryall on the tractor.
I can use these for hanging my 14 ft. chains on or anything else that needs to be hung up & out of the way... Not sure where U got them Al, however I need some lumber at Lowes & will check with them, if not I suspect TSC will stock them...I'll be making a Littleton run in a week or so & today I have 8.5" of snow to push off at about 3.5 hrs. work...
Bill on the Hill... :~)
Your hay feeder will be perfect out in the pasture! Are you making a Sleigh out of the skid for the barn wood!?!?
Yes I love your new hay feeder...
I think it's high time that 9 got some appreciation! Eight get's all of the love while Nine is left out in the cold. Good for you!!
Great job 👍😀👍
Looks like a saver of hay. Nice job.
If you had a few coffee cans with lids, you could pre make all the morning feed for the goats. Could make a weeks worth in a few minutes. Would save you time each morning.
Check out Farm Innovader HB 60 bucket 9qt for goats. They run 24.99 at TSC. Use 100 watt bulb energy. Has thermostat regulate itself. Plus can add extra warranty if want . No matter animal or your fault theyll replace up too 2 yrs for extra 10 dollar if remember. Really helpful so have water as long as you have power. Also what pellets are you giving your boys. I was feeding sunflower seeds some corn oats and alpha pellets. But cut them out and up hay feed. I have a kiko for now plan adding more. Also what you end up doing on the counter after customizing it when making hot dogs.
Looks Great
RUclips recommended this video. I subscribe to Weedem and weap and very familiar with Kevin's goat feeder journey. When I saw Hope I wondered...could it be?
I was intrigued by your "PPM" playlist and started binge watching I love watching you build stuff. Towards the end of that series you talked about getting your new baby goat soon. I had a feeling this could get me to my answer. Yes Hope from Arizona.
So cool I am watching these now. I found several and created a playlist so I could be sure to find them all.
I really enjoy how much you guys love your animals.
That is a really nice hay feeder. Should save a lot of feed.👍🏻
If you add an abrasive texture to an area that the goats frequent, it will promote healther hoofs. The ramp would be a good spot.
I remember you posting that you were once in building houses. I also see that you have a good line of Dewalt Tools. Are they your favorite? I see many homestead channels that count on having reliable tools to use prefer DeWalt.
I really like the price point of dewalt and the batteries last a long time
Dewalt is a good bang for your buck. They make solid power tools. ::edit:: They are also good at making ergonomic easy to use tools.
