I just want to once again Thank You, Sincerely , for a great video and your time in sharing this project . It is such a great build for NDG's . . . And your vlog was Greatly appreciated.
God bless you for this video single 56 year old doing all the building by myself. Please post more building projects like this. I need a lot of help. Lol
I have seen a lot videos but none of them specify the dimensions or they don't give the idea how to assume the dimensions. This was so useful and thanks to Johnson family😎
This is awesome, we’ve seen similar feeders on Pinterest but it’s so helpful for you to do the walk-through provide the how to build and the materials list… Can’t wait to build it for our Nigerians!
Awesome video!!! This feeder is exactly what I have been wanting to make so the timing is perfect. I just had a 48x64 barn built for our goats, hay loft and my farm equipment. My husband kept saying my stuff was taking up too much space in “his” barns, so I had my own built 😆. One of my first projects I want to make is this style hay feeder. Thank you guys for another great video!!! 👍
Great job Jake. I love how clean and tidy your farmstead looks. Nice green grass. One of the nicest out of the few I follow. Your goats are all beautiful too.
Thanks this is so great! We made a hayfeeder for the does pen from a big commercial freezer basket and wood lol.We are now in the process of making hay feeders for the pasture and a new buck pen so this is so timely!
great video with good details where needed. And the gutter idea is great I'm In Ireland and I try to give a gutter feeding a bucket to any animal rain should keep it full and clean.
What size board did you use at the very top of the roof that connects the two triangular sections? I don’t believe you mentioned that. And how did you make the tiny triangle pieces that went under your 3/12 cut 2x4’s on the roof? You didn’t mention that either. Thank you!
This looks amazing. I can't find the material list in the notes. Thank you so much for sharing the measurements and products used. Finally a great video on a goat hay feeder.
@@JohnsonFamilyFarmstead Great! I ran into a low eave on the goat shed full blast two months ago and split my head. I would have gotten stitches, but I'm the stitcher on the farm and decided not to bother, lol. Healed fine, just took longer. :)
thank you! our hay feeder fails bc it’s basically on a “table” that they jump onto while they eat, pulling out the hay from wire with 4x4 openings. All the hay they pull onto the table gets stepped and pooped on and therefore is wasted. I did see one of your goats jump onto the tray to eat - does that happen a lot and cause wasted hay, and if so, is there a solution for that? Thank you so much!! huge $$for us!
I thought the same thing, looks like the one Al Lumnah at Lumnah Acres built a year or two ago...but on a smaller scale to fit your needs. Great adaptation!

Thank you so much for not only the materials list but also the cut list.

I'm from india 👏👌👍
Looks like it will work very well
When adding the material list, could you add the type of hardware you used? Great job!
Yes! 😀

@@JohnsonFamilyFarmstead thank you so much!!!
Great job
Thanks Sue! Hope you are doing well 😀
Very nice
Love this! Only concern is trim off those sharp metal roof corners at head height. Definitely a recipe for stitches! Nice job on the feeder design!
Thank you! We will be putting gutters on with down spouts to some water buckets soon.

The little baby’s do jump in it to eat.
Good job from pakistan
Verry nice feeder but i tought goes was refer to as ewe and ram ,and rabbit as bucks and doo
That’s sheep. Goats are bucks and does
8x8x8
Lumbar acres have the same feeders
We love Al's feeder .. this one is much smaller but same concept.

Ment goat
It'll pay for itself in no time ! If a goat can pull it out it'll waste it.
