    For anyone considering this kit, I have owned one of these kits for 2 years now. Fantastic value and has held up extremely well for random electronics projects, and stuff around the house. The only thing that broke in my kit was the flexible extension piece, BUT, I attached it to a drill because I had a very odd situation I needed it for, and didn't have access to my other tools. So great kit, just use it as intended.

    Nice one. Can you show Philips 0, 1 and 2 screws how they look ? Because it sometimes becomes confusing to use right Screwdriver bit

    That is a nice feature that one can extend a screwdriver and reach very narrow spaces. IFixit does not have this feature btw.

    How do the drill bits hold up? I had to open my Steam Deck to fix a part inside and I swear to god I think they welded some of the screws in... I've stripped SCREWDRIVERS before on tough screws... How would these fair? What are they made of?

      These are made of steel but I don't know the composition. I haven't had any issues with these thus far but I also haven't had any stubborn screws.

      I have an anti-static wrist strap but almost never use it. I don't have a lot of static in my shop. I also make sure to constantly ground myself (by touching) the metal case of anything I'm working on. All that being said, it's probably not a bad idea to use static protection.

      @@Rickmakesthanks. What about for a laptop like the Asus g16 2023 idk if the case/shell is metal or plastic. Do I just ground the clip to any metal part?
      What metal part in this laptop would you recommend me to clip it to?

      @@Rickmakesisn’t there more electric discharge in the winter in your clothes and in your house? Like sometimes random things would just give a shock when touched?

    • @Rickmakes
      @Rickmakes  6 месяцев назад

      @@zojirushi1 There can be. I run a whole house humidifier in the winter. That keeps the static electricity down. Anti-static wrist strap or not, you wouldn't want to do things that could build up static electricity like shuffling your feet on carpet before working with electronics. If you do, then you would want to discharge before touching the electronics.
