In the 50 years of camping throughout the west, living in New Mexico, I’ve stayed in all western states. I have never had a power saw, no GPS or high clearance camping trailers. And at the risk of sounding like “ I remember when” all I had was my tent and my dog. In those 50 years I probably spent less $$ in total than one of those rigs. I saw wildlife, bears, elk wild turkey. Caught fish for food. Don’t get me wrong, all your gear would have been welcome at times, but I almost never heard/saw another camper. A far more grounding experience. I’m curling up with my worn out topographical maps and remembering my dogs Pat and Duke. Enjoy while you can, I’ll remember watching old faithful with 10 folks sitting on a log.
❤ love this adventure. I keep one or 2 plastic tree wedges with my dewalt chainsaw. Lifesaver when you have those odd angle tree cuts. No more getting the blade stuck.
Awesome video! That Hiker trailer looks really nice on the trail. Lessons learned: (1) Don't be the first on one of these trails in the spring (let folks before you clear all those trees!; (2) bring a big hand saw (maybe old school 2 man); (3) use a winch in a pinch!
Great video! Looks like you were passing some nice fly-fishing streams too. :-) And those Teton mountains are my favorite mountain range. San Juans in Colorado are right there with them though. :-)
Ten years ago myself and two friends backpacked the Wind River Range. It was a tough trip. I was nearly 50 at the time and the elevation did a number on me. Did you go through Pinedale? I think it's a cool little town. Last time I was there about 5 years ago they had started building hotels. Ten years ago it was like stepping back into the 70's.
I bet it is so easy to get lost in the beauty out there. Y'all gonna have to quit going to such amazing places until Carver and i can start knocking off some of our list. Its getting way too long. Hope to see you guys at GSMJI!
See y'all at GSMJI. Pam here. Will be in Hella Yella 21 JLUR Daisy Belle. I look forward to meeting you guys. How to meet you. I'm shopping for a offroad trailer now. New Jeep owner 1st one bought MidFeb and I call it my MidLife AWAKENING! Reiree here! Found your RUclips channel a while back and watch when I can.....making my bucket list. To think I was shopping for a drivable RV before buying my Jeep. JEEP PURCHASE changed eveyrhing!!❤!🚗✌️ sorry I know this is under someone else's comment. Looking forward to meeting all you Jeeple!!!!
Great overland videos! In that area in 2021 and returning this summer! Hard to believe very little game in your videos but then numerous vehicles so understandable I guess. My son wants one of your stickers. How can I purchase one? Thx, K

I am seeking experienced input/advice regarding the best option of approx 3 " lift and related shocks for my 21 JLUR before starting my travels. Ive asked on the wranglerforum as well and will be seeing what feedvack i get. Money isn't an issue. I plan to pull a trailer similar to yours. I plantoo switch out all steeing components to who all you may know without my saying. I will say if ok to say so. I know you hav sponsors but looking for feedback from others as well. Do your Hiker Trailer friends have the Mid Range XL? Looks like an incredible trip!
Not sure what model it is. Yes we had an incredible time
@@CoddiwompleOverland No worries, it looks almost like a hybrid of the MRXL and EOR which peaked my interest. Safe travels out there!
We will try and have Teddy respond.

We did go to Pinedale. We ate steaks off a Pitchfork at a place called Pitchfork Fondue.
I hope to see you at the Jeep invasion here in about a week. I think it's a week, s***, Ronnie from Georgia.
We will be there in the Dan Cummins booth
Awesome videos as always! Looking for the name of the app that tells you about the history of various sites? And the weather app you guys use?
Autio and Radar Scope
Noti gang on deck
?
Thanks for the video. Would love to go there one day before my time is up. So is it worth pulling a trailer. Or is the rooftop tent better. Stay safe
It was so much easier for set up and tear down. With this one it's just get in or out. I did not mind pulling it at all.
Another great Video!
Thank you!

Curious as to how many drone batteries you keep on hand
5 for the Mavic's and 3 for the Avata

Good video, but why do you travel in such a large group?
Thanks! Because we like to share our experiences with friends. We don’t always have a large group.
What’s the difference? Everyone is self sufficient and they all share a common passion.
@@woodrowcall3269 "If I have to explain, then you wouldn't understand anyway" is a phrase that comes to mind.
@MrWinger1951 so please explain the problem with traveling with friends?
@@MrWinger1951don’t flatter yourself, you’re not that special cupcake.
What types of motors are you all using? And which one do you recommend?
We had jeeps with 4 cylinder, V6's and a V8 all done very well, just personal preference.
