Lex, I officially crown you "Metalhead!" 🤘I remember when Cliff 'Em All came out and we watched it over and over. Glad you're exploring this band, many more treats to come!!
Thanks for your reaction. If you want more of Cliff, watch anesthesia live Chicago 1983--even younger and you'll see what he can do with a bass. Or for the interaction with the audience, watch Master of puppets live Québec Magnetic--I'm partial to this one because I was in that noisy crowd for the whole show, one of the 5 times I went to their shows (1985-1993-1999-2009 & 2 weeks ago). Have a nice day, both of you.
Hi guys .. Love Metallica ! Great track and brilliant live. My all time favourite live album + dvd is "S & M" with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra [2000] It is incredible and the orchestra adds such an amazing dimention to their songs. The dvd is a must, as you can even choose which camera angles you want during 4 of the songs. Lol ...But the tracks are spectacular ! Great reaction Lex. Ooo you got sooo much more goodies to discover !! Byeee Jim X
Cliff was older but only by about 9 months from Kirk. However, he had taken musical theory classes so he came in with a lot of knowledge the guys hadn't even thought about while they were writing the first album. His look was interesting and fit in with his musical taste. It's funny when people who claim to be Metallica fans say if Cliff had lived that the band would never have made the black album. Except the band says if Cliff had lived they probably wouldn't have made And Justice for All and instead would have made the black album sooner. As for Trujillo, he is undoubtedly a better bass player because he... you know... lived past 24.
This performance will always be awesome but christ the guitars are out of tune like a m'fer, I think it's James' guitar. I was always shocked they didn't try to adjust it, they just kept playing anyway. haha!

He did indeed live with Metallica for 24
Cliff for all¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Little did they know at the time that they would become the biggest heavy metal band of all time!
Just too bad that Cliff can't be here to enjoy it
Anesthesia - Roskilde May 1986 - more sophisticated version the one used in S&M 2
ESTO SI QUE ME GUSTA
Mid 80s I was 14. I’d like a redo, plz.
Which did you like better
Cliff's opening bass solo or Kirk's outro solo
I was 16 again...😢
In the words of Dave Mustane
Cliff Burton the major rager on the 4 string MF'er
Aguante Metallica 💙🤍💙
I am pretty sure there are a couple of counts of felonious assault on a bass guitar, in the opening!
🤣 Seriously!!!
1985,before Master Of Puppets, long before the Black album and these guys were already playing to sold out arenas.
