A good friend of mine constantly had trespassing hunters come onto his property regardless of his signage. He would tell me about these people and we would scheme up deterrents like this to keep them away all the time...but one day, my friend told me a story of this man, about our age, who came to his doorstep, and proceeded with a story that he had been tracking some wild hogs that lead him up to a fence with signage on it. He used his phone to get a view of the property to find where the owners residence might be in respect to his location which turned out wasnt very far from the direction he had approached, so he backtracked to his vehicle and drove to the main driveway leading up to my friends house to request permission for access onto his property to hunt these wild hogs. He showed his licenses/tags to prove he was being sincere. My friend was so taken back by how respectful this guy was he told the man that he could hunt his grounds for pig, for free, whenever he would like, to help keep the population in check, as long as he called ahead of time so there was knowledge of his presence in case of emergency. Now, He is one of our closest friends and visits, to both hunt and hang out regularly.
A friend of ours had some rural property and guys with Jeeps would regularly crash through his wood gate and tear up the property with their 4x4s. My dad welded up a heavy steel gate for him and then attached the remains of the wood gate to it. My dad worked in the shipyard as a welder and had a tendency to over build things. Next time it happened it bent the steel gate and there were pieces of Jeep laying there. That definitely put a stop to them.
That reminds me of a story I heard a while back. There was a man who was retired from I believe the navy.he moved out to the country. Down his road wasn't too many people but he had one neighbor next to him. Well there was someone that would always speed down that road the guy lived on and taking out mailboxes all the time. Everyone knew who he was and always reported him but nothing would happen to him because his dad was the sheriff of the local police department and he was a crooked cop. Well after that young punk took out his and his next door neighbors mailbox one too many times the guy finally had enough. He made a few phone calls and managed to get one of those old fashioned looking ship anchor that looked like a double hook. He buried the hook ends down in the ground, attached some wood to the outside of the anchors that was out of the ground, and he attached his and his next door neighbor's mailbox to it. Well one evening that same dude come flying down the road in his car and *WHAM* hit the anchor. Not only did he hit it hard enough to do front end damage to the car but he hit it with enough force that one of the hooks from the anchor uprooted out of the ground and stabbed the bottom of the dudes car. Dude had been drinking and he was underage too. The man called county police out there because he knew if he called the local police the crooked Sheriff would of probably let him go that night. Well dude did call his dad to try and bail him out but because county was there they told him he can't get involved.

I was given 120 acres when my uncle passed away. No one in the family had ever hunted and to my knowledge it hadn’t been hunted by anyone. I went out to check the property and saw some deer signs. I went and met the people with the neighboring properties and they all said that they never hunted it and had never heard shots or anything. I had caught some small bucks on camera and spent the next 2 years developing plots and mineral sites and what not. Finally after those 2 years I decided it was time to start trying to hunt it. I head out after opening weekend (I was working and couldn’t hunt) and check the the camera and I’ll be damned if one of the neighbors wasn’t caught on camera shooting one of the biggest bucks on the property. I asked him about it and he said no he doesn’t even own a rifle. I ended up making a poaching report to my local game warden and had his arrested. Nothing I hate more than a poacher. All that time and money just for someone else to take it
i love trespassing properties like this, not to hunt mind you, but to practice evasion and trap detection. had seen plenty of tripwires for perimeter alarms. now i can't help but look out for tripwires anywhere out in the forest. i train myself to get as close to the house without being detected. only been caught once and he threatened to call cops on me, so i just ran off
True story. My brother-in-law lives in southern Michigan. He invited a neighbor to go deer hunting with him on property he owns near Lake City in the north. Two weeks later he went back and found all his driveway gates taken down. He set up cameras and guess who he saw taking the gates down again ? The same downstate neighbor he took hunting once. Some people just suck.
@@krisbeck944 He means that the trespasser was there for the purpose of hunting, so thinks it's ok to trespass, and fire a weapon while doing so, not that he had actually fired his weapon in the video.
There was a kid playing in a river one day. All the sudden somebody started firing rounds in his direction. The guy insisted that the kid was trespassing. I think it's very likely that people go too far protecting their property.
@@wannabecarguy in a lot of states walking inside a body of water isn’t trespassing…. It’s not owned by anyone. But by everyone. I used to travel mikes up the north tyger river from my property all the way to the headwaters. Fishing. Nothing you can do as long as I stay in the water.
performancepursuit ahaha. Are we actually sure, though, that this guy even knew he was trespassing in the first place? I probably wouldn't. I would just wander deep into some woods and then get blasted by paint not know what the f*** was going on
Um... There is a sign a few feet in front of the Paint Trap in the video. So those who are defending the Poacher by saying maybe He didn't know, are obviously as blind as He was or are intentionally disregarding it like an Ass, like He was. Vast distinction between a Hunter & a Poacher. This Ass has all the trademarks of a Poacher.
After I stopped laughing, it reminded me of so many trespass complaints I had to deal with as a Deputy in my county years ago. I assisted many a land owner in cutting tree stands out of trees on their lands that trespassers installed. Many had the owners names a-fixed to them so it was easy to find them for citations. IN some cases the land owners took & kept the stands in lieu of citations issued. Expensive ways to learn lessons. Trespassers were advidsed that it was not so many years ago that trespassers were dealt with in far more severe ways if the land owners caught them !!
I suppose it depends on who and where you're trespassing. I know certain states won't let you shoot or otherwise unless you've given a verbal warning their presence isn't welcome or that they're trespassing, even still, sometimes you still don't have the right to shoot until they try to harm you. And (thankfully) in Ireland, if you have a hole or something else that someone is trespassing can hurt themselves on, you're liable if they do
I live out in the boons. A few years back we had the sudden burst of richy city folks buying up land out where I live. Someone bought the land that connects partly to my property. It was a big wooded area and they built a house on one end where they cut a road into the road I live on. Well these people cut a line of tree's out on the edge of their property and put up a barbwire fence up against my barbwire fence. They had the bright idea to build a big fort looking deer stand on the back of their property. Their dumb mistake was that the stands was due to them clearing out the trees on the edge of their property is that I can see the deer stand clear as day from my front porch and if I can see it that clearly from my front porch it's way too close to my property line and it's within a certain amount of distance from my house/property and my next door neighbor's house/property. Well after a few calls to the proper authorities richy rich had to tare down the deer stand.
When i was 16, some guys I didn't even know were out on the back of my farm, during rifle deer season. And I was walking all up and down our huge property, trying to drive deer to my dad. who was over the hill waiting for the deer. I saw the three guys and purposely walked back and forth in front of and behind them. I could hear them bitching to each other about me ruining their hunt on our property. Finally, one of them gets up off the ground and starts yelling at me. He said, "You're RUINING OUR HUNT! You're too young to be hunting alone. Where's your dad? Get out of here." At that moment, i asked them if they had permission to hunt here. They said yes. I asked who they got the permission from, and they started to argue with me again. I told them they were trespassing, and they had 10 seconds to grab their shit and disappear. One of the guys said, "You're too young to legally hunt alone. Where's your dad?" (I was legal to hunt my own property at age 12, I was 16 then, and very much the man of the house.) *"I'M RIGHT HERE,"* shouted my dad from 20 yards away. He'd heard them yelling at me, and he stalked in. He said, "By my count, 8 of those 10 seconds are gone." And he raised his Winchester 30-30 to his shoulder, aiming the barrel at their feet. I just stood still. I never saw three guys run so fast. That was over 40 years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday. When you trespass knowingly on somebody else's property, you better be prepared for whatever happens. It might be your last trespass. We weren't going to hurt them, but my dad sure scared them enough that I'll bet they all had to shower together and change their shorts. They never came back. Which was good for them.
Technically what the father did was illegal. You cannot aim a good at someone unless you Honestly believe your life Or the life of someone you know is in danger. Those hunters could have filed a report and had The father arrested but I suspect the fear of going to jail for Tres. Passing and poaching kept them from doing so
To the few people who are commenting negatively, if you want to hunt on land, then ask permission (and pay, land isn't free) or buy your own land (which will be a lot more expensive). It's not that complicated. The reason landowners care about illegal trespassing and hunting is, NUMBER 1 it is dangerous to have lots of people out hunting in the woods with long rifles at the same time, number 2 they are concerned about property damage that often is accompanied by reckless hunters (the kind that don't ask permission), number 3 they paid for the land and have the right to control who hunts it, in reasonable states you aren't allowed to just waltz onto anybody's private land and hunt there. There is nothing more aggravating than clueless, disrespectful hunters, believe me.
only problem is if anyone did ask they would have been paint bombed i don't know a bout you but that would have made me very upset. Also any deer walking the property would also have been paint bombed and it is illeagal to harass game in any way. And what about game agents in the area, or God forbid a lost child or even a lost disoriented adult . I hope the land owner went to jail over this . And yes I am a hunter who either hunts state land friends property or asks for permission, and it is not that easy 100 no's to one yes. is average
George Wilson Obviously if he asked for perrmission they said no, since they have paint traps as a deterrent for illegal trespassers. The problem is your mindset; you ask as a formality, and you'll obviously hunt it either way. You're a clueless hunter. Sincerely, a hunter and landowner.
Smullet90 in addition, when anyone is on your property and they get hurt by their own fault, your fault or an accident, YOU are financially liable. i dont agree with setting up a paint mine though, because it shows intent of malice for setting up an indiscriminate attack devise. very close to terrorism IED with that said, if the premise of this story is true, the neighbor hunter deserved it and...it is funny
Smullet90 hey dumb fuck it illegal to set booby traps on property so he could sew you for every thing you got so not smart next time just call the dnr dumb fuck
Well, he purposely walked past a sign in plain view. Can't say he wasn't warned. A man that age being that willfully unlawful has got no sympathy from me, but the owner of that property deserves a high five for sure.
my husband tracked a hunter to the tree stand he was sitting in, took his name, license plate number, escorted him back to his truck, and the tracks in the snow showed where he had to duck UNDER a no hunting sign (it's also conserved land) that he said he never saw. He also was quite indignant, said he'd been hunting that piece of land for 25 years. Nice. He lost his license for a year and was fined a hundred bucks. I was sorry it wasn't more. We got to keep the wood from the tree stand.
as a hunter myself I say bravo to this landowner. these jerks that trespass give us good, law abiding, respectful hunters who ask permission a bad name. To the hunter in the video, your ass got what it deserved.
Objective Viewer ya because that's not true in anyway or form I'm a land owner it doesn't matter if he owns the property past you cannot use another it's trespassing he would have to go around
Objective Viewer, if he had that right I highly doubt the land owner would have sent that trap for one, secondly maybe the hunter should have just asked if he can still pass thru to get to his land.
Objective Viewer That is a load of bullshit. It doesn’t matter how long he’s used it. The only way it would be legal for him to use the trail is if there was an easement.
As a goodnhunter you approve this, wow I'm ashamed of you guys. Animals don't know who's land is who, wtf they roam free everywhere. You don't even know if his hunt happened to just pass by and he happened to follow thus way for another 5 more minutes for instance and then he might have been off the lot. Dude who are, you can't be a hunter no fucking way you are a hunter
One of my only funny hunting stories. Years ago one of my friends had a little track of land (40 or so acres) that he was trying to hunt. Lots of people around it trying to bring in the deer as well. He gave up and let me use part of it for one of my hobbies, wine making. after my third batch I noticed deer tracks. fifth batch and they are hot and heavy. Like it looks like a deer rave. I mention to him that the deer sure are thick out there and he loses his mind. Turned out the deer were attracted to the place I dumped out my dead yeast after the brew was over. Stuff stunk to high heaven but those deer must have thought it was candy. My dump site ended up with a stand about 75 yards down wind from it.

People have to learn to respect the rights of landowners. If the sign says no hunting, fishing, or trapping or no trespassing, then stay off the property.
I love it. I hope the guy learned his lesson, though I got a vibe that he feels like he's the victim despite being in the wrong. I guess he can wonder off feeling like he got wronged when he shouldn't have been there in the first place.
You all look pretty bad, but theres certainly worse then others. Killing animals that don't need to be killed... is just psychotic really... murdering for fun. Taking adults away from their children. Protecting livestock is one thing, so is hunting for food to eat, going out to kill for 'fun' is what psychologists call a psychopath.
Duggie D lol okay, there are some people that actually do hunt for food, and all over the world there are things called pests, if these hunters don't kill them then vegetarians won't have there wonderful nutritious worthless meals. As an Australian I know just how bad it is, they (being mostly pigs) DESTROY every last patch of grass they see, imagine a farm of any sort with that type of destruction, also because of the increase in vegans (equals more crops) we even need to hunt birds, kangaroo's, pigs, rabbits and a few rarer animals that don't pop up as much as the rest, I think once there was a farmer that lost over $1.8m in just vegetables. Wouldn't be surprised if you are against guns also.
@@skobird2732 many people hunt for other reasons than fun. @mikeneill6813 I sincerely doubt it. If you're going to ask permission, you'd probably go to the house directly, through the front gate or something, and I would probably leave my rifle in the truck to seem less intimidating to the landowners. The point of using these traps is that neither actually hurt the bear, they just keep it in place, then the trapper comes along once a day at least and checks his traps. You get to see if it is a legal harvest or let it go. You see...killing the bear in season is not illegal...and many people put bear traps out and claim it is open the couldnt find last hunt. Trespassing hunters are the worst. I leave my land unhunted periodically to reduce hunting pressure for the next season. Well some people decided they had more right to use my land than I do. This past season someone stole the Plexiglas windows and carpet from my permanent blind. Not only that but they left the door wide open all winter and the hinge broke. Even worse are the goons who stole several of our cedar ad hickory trees. Yes, entire trees Needless to say every access point is clearly posted and under day/night video surveillance now.

True story. My brother-in-law lives in southern Michigan. He invited a neighbor to go deer hunting with him on property he owns near Lake City in the north. There was a kid playing in a river one day. All the sudden somebody started firing rounds in his direction. The guy insisted that the kid was trespassing. I think it's very likely that people go too far protecting their property.

And (thankfully) in Ireland, if you have a hole or something else that someone is trespassing can hurt themselves on, you're liable if they do
I would have pooped in their stand.

@@SlyFireVR There is a saying for situations like that, "shoot, shovel, shut up".
Get out of here."
At that moment, i asked them if they had permission to hunt here. They said yes. I asked who they got the permission from, and they started to argue with me again.
I told them they were trespassing, and they had 10 seconds to grab their shit and disappear.
One of the guys said, "You're too young to legally hunt alone. Where's your dad?" (I was legal to hunt my own property at age 12, I was 16 then, and very much the man of the house.)
*"I'M RIGHT HERE,"* shouted my dad from 20 yards away.

@@russellpearce3749 Technically, we were already in threat, or at least I was. Not illegal, in the US state I was in.
And yes I am a hunter who either hunts state land friends property or asks for permission, and it is not that easy 100 no's to one yes. is average

my husband tracked a hunter to the tree stand he was sitting in, took his name, license plate number, escorted him back to his truck, and the tracks in the snow showed where he had to duck UNDER a no hunting sign (it's also conserved land) that he said he never saw. He also was quite indignant, said he'd been hunting that piece of land for 25 years. Nice. He lost his license for a year and was fined a hundred bucks. I was sorry it wasn't more.

Now that's scratching each other's backs for real. Favor for a favor

When they are breaking the law it's okay to refer to them as "poachers". It gives hunters a bad name.
He could just be a violator.
@@beauregardrippey5508 well, he got violated.
@@dalehood1846 yes he did. Do you know the difference between a poacher and a violator?
Next time use skunk scent instead of paint
James Weber use lead fishing weights
or shavings from a metal lathe.
That's a good one I said oil based paint but the skunk scent is just as good
Or pigs blood
Chili extract?
Ohh that’s just Fn AWESOME!!
Lol my grandpa is in bear country and he just puts up bear traps and then doesn't walk those trails anymore. He put up signs that say "bear traps placed randomly, watch your step"
Never had a problem with trespassers 😂
Grandpa's can be so canny.
considering trapping bears is illegal these days I think you are full of crap. If a wildlife officer sees a bear trap he is taking someone to jail guaranteed. Not to mention setting traps with intention of hurting or killing people is a severe felony.
Your grandpa is a felon.
That would make grandpa a felon lmao.. The sign is enough, there doesn't actually need to be traps. They won't know they aren't there..
@@williambrandondavis6897 Concidering you are not so bright...its often better to sit back and look the fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. As you did. Trapping is still legal in many states, but only using either live barrel traps, or “bucket style” traps. But still bear traps, fool! People who get hurt in any way when entering marked private property have no recourse through law..they are tresspassers. So no felony at all...again the fool. And lets look at who he was talking about....his grandfather.....which makes me believe that he would have been hunting sometime around the 60`s to 80`s??? Did you even think before shittzing between your teeth?? No laws against trapping bears existed in most states at that time either. Most anti trapping laws came into effect during the 90s. Now who looks like they are full of crap???? I bet you cuddle bears for a living...right?? Treehugger!
As a caretaker of many properties it amazes me how many people have no respect for boundaries. Bravo!
Yes, entire trees
Needless to say every access point is clearly posted and under day/night video surveillance now.
+Crazed Monk
Trespassers are douche bags, but you do not have the right to shoot them in any state. Now if they're actually attempting to get in your house itself that's a different issue entirely. But you can't just go around shooting anybody that steps foot on your property. It makes zero difference whether you've posted signs indicating you will or not.
Chris Gilliam no you're a weak spined pansy. Trump is your president.
How do you steal a tree?
Hey; people think you have more than you deserve and what's your is mine and what's mine is mine. Would love to hot wire my property. So tired of thieves.
Does anyone else think it's freaking hilarious someone named "Kandi Klover" called someone else a pussy bitch?
I forgot about this video! Still love it!
The audio makes it so much better.
Looks like a sign right in front of him.
Luckily he wore his BROWN underwear that day.
“You son of a B” - quite exquisite coming from the illegal trespasser.
The only way this could have better is if he walked back off camera an got painted again lol.this was awesome!
Respect peoples property when hunting. Its plain and simple.
Even without hunting. People trespass for all kinds of "reasons".
If there were signs or fences then he deserved it, otherwise this is kind of an asshole love
Don’t trespass on other people’s property. Plain and simple.
Found out there is an app now
@@throughmylens5127 There is one for canada i use to find crown land to hunt. Its a bit pricey but it shows where the property lines are.
what kinda jerk trespases sets off an explosion then hangs out to clean his gun ? seems like i woulda ran like hell before somebody showed up
most of them think they are not doing anything wrong and are entitled to hunt where they want
dynocompe They aren't entitled to what they want on other people's property, hence being a trespasser. You're probably one of those hunters who trespasses on others property, if in fact you do hunt.
You lost any credibility as soon as you started slinging insults. How about you learn how to make an argument without needing to use insults. If you reread your comment you would see the source of confusion. Maybe if you reworded it it would make more sense. Let me fix that sentence for you "Most of them think they are not doing anything wrong and think they are entitled to hunt where they want." Maybe you need a better understanding of the English language.
Imperial Japanese Army 1867-1945 no buddy just apologize and move on. I read it just as the guy meant it and I'm sure everybody else did too.
Imperial Japanese Army 1867-1945 Get out of here grammar nazi.
That is awesome!
You needed to have two of them close together to get him a second time....LOL
The best part is watching the learning taking place after he gets painted. Every moment he looks toward where it happened will be permanently etched into his memory. Doom on you dude.
Fraser Supersport I thought the best part was when he used the fresh paint as lube and jacked his rifle off.
not only is that trespassing that's also poaching. which means he's irresponsible and looks to be a habitual lawbreaker. I myself hunt on a substantial size piece of private property and deal with these kinds of assholes all the time. not only do they walk right past no trespassing private property signs but they also have to jump a fence you tell me who's breaking the law.
Yeah, a buddy I used to work with was sitting there watching tv with his wife and 4 and 5 year old boys and three guys went walking by his living room window with rifles over their shoulders.....
He got up and said "what the hell do you think you're doing"?
Hunting, what's it look like?
NOT on my property you're not....
I mean, the gall of some people lol......
Lol, I'll never forget when I was younger I was walking in the forest with my little 22, and didn't even see this guys small little cabin, nor knew I was on his property, he came out and chewed me a new ass..... I was only about 14-15... After he knew it was unintentional he was actually very nice, actually helped our folks with car trouble. But yea people do not take kindly to it. lol
imDabbing Yeah, that's just it though, if you're going out into the woods with a firearm, no matter what your age, you should know where you are.....
Muskoka Mike Agree with you, this was the straight rurals though, quite far out in the wilderness. Honestly had no idea we were near anyones property. His cabin was very small and hidden by the trees as well.
imDabbing That's the thing, when you think no one is around, there's someone there. I took a firearm's safety course when I was 13 and that's one thing they taught us...to always be mindful of where you are and where you're shooting.....because even though you're in the middle of BF Maine, miles from no where, that shot you take could have a housewife working in her vegetable garden right through those bushes.....
As long as the paint is heavily scented to ruin the hunt completely this is a perfect way to get a poacher
mann, this was such a great idea and it truly made me cry-laughing so hard!!!!!
Perfect that he turned and looked right at it before it went off. He deserved every spec of paint he got.
how does this devise work exactly?

Not to throw sand in your paint, but it's "Sherwin Williams" not Sherman
@@keepingitreel...8037 Pretty sure he intentionally said Sherman and not Sherwin... I don't think most people fully understand how witty that comment was ... try a web search for General Sherman (known for his scorched earth war tactics and also whom the M4 Sherman Tank was named after). cheers.
I know this is an old clip, but RUclips brought it to my attention for some reason, so here I am. :P

I wasn't ready for that BANG! About jumped out of my computer chair. That trespasser in hearing it and getting hit with the paint spray....probably had more to wipe up than paint.
There’s a non lethal mine that you can buy that my unit frequently used for complex clearing tactics.
The “bad guys” would get about 20 minutes, and whatever “tools” they needed to defend their position, and eliminate/ repel their infiltrators…
One seargent went to everyone and asked everyone if they wanted their drink mix, we all thought he was just thirsty, the next team to do the clearing came out after 20 seconds painted every color of coolaid…
Headphones in.....shit scared out of me instantly
Ha! I tipped my chair over I jumped so bad. Headphones were turned all the way up. 😂
Good show man, serves him right, love his comments to himself. Poetic justice. Laughed and laughed, funniest thing I've seen for decades. Thanks.
I was kind of hoping that rifle would fall over and shoot him in the foot......first thing they taught us in firearms training is you don't lean a loaded weapon against a fucking tree....
what makes you think it was loaded
c Beau well, hunting with an empty rifle is kind of useless no?
BTW: before you say it, look at the guy, do you really think he's smart enough to NOT carry around a loaded rifle? lol
Criminals come in all ages
Pretty casual with that muzzle, Gomer.
