7.62 x 39 has approximate power of a Winchester 30/30. It's got the power for a deer no problem with soft points. And as always, use it within range. In my state you have to use a 5 round mag.
Here in Texas I've had to go to Larger Caliber's. 30-06, .308, & 8mm Mauser. Switching back and forth between my Remington Model 42, Johnson Rifle, Springfield M1A, & Hakim. I've come accross Feral Hog's weighing between 400lb & 600lb Not Every Hunt but often enough to worry me especially when hunting on the ground. Had one shrug off 4 well placed .223 shots. That Scared the crap out of me...
I understand the trespassing issue and agree. However I would not use an assault rifle with a banana clip. Multiple bullets would only spoil the meat and are unnecessary. Plus I question the accuracy of an AK compared to a regular deer gun.
@@jamesathendune9026 Assault rifle is a misnomer given by anti-gun legislators and media to semi auto rifles that look like their selective fire military counter parts. True selective fire weapons. The AK in this video is semi auto just like a Remington 81, 742, 7400 or a Winchester 100 or Browning BAR (the sweet sporting rifle not the military BAR). It's operation is no different, one pull of the trigger one round fired. If this video is shot in Nebraska then he needs a 5 shot magazine. If it's shot in Texas he can use the 30 rounder (my understanding). There are no such things as banana clips except to the misinformed. A clip is what the M1 Garand uses and bolt actions such as the Italian Carcano for example. A detachable box (most common) with a force feed spring inside is called a magazine. In mentioning multiple bullets I'm going on a limb and guessing you think he's going to use an illegal (to hunt with) full auto AK and not firing fast follow up shots as any semi auto rifle is capable of performing in the right hands and experience. As for accuracy, it would be fine within the designed parameters of the firearm and cartridge. He was using open sights and was (I believe) limiting himself to under 100 yards. Merry Christmas!

Had something like this happen. Dude threw up a tree stand on my friends property without any info on it, found the stand and put up cameras to catch him. Dude brought in a feeder and 6 salt licks and set them up to bait them. Dnr got involved, 3 officers, the owner and myself all go out and caught this dude red handed harvesting 2 fawns. Wasn’t a good day for him

He did. I’ve experienced a few trespassers and I’ve heard the same story from a couple of them. They always claim they thought they were on someone else’s property or that they had permission to hunt their years ago.
