And a new RUclips Lure King is crowned. Congrats. The old king isnt even close.
You are too kind! Seriously, thank you for your support!
Your methods of transferring pattern to the foil tape is brilliant! Well done... this is the first video of yours I have watched, and I will certainly be watching more.
Thank you very much, I appreciate it!
That lure is awesome
Thank you very much!
omg, your popper lures are GORGEOUS
Thank you so much!
This has got to be the tenth or more time of watching this video and I am still amazed by the transformation that the final topcoat has on the lure! I guess I will be back again lol. Thank you for sharing your video, take care my friend 👍😷👍🏴
Thank you very much for your support, I really do appreciate it!
I have been making my own lures since the mid 70s. We fished for Walleyes and Yellow Perch. Now I have moved to Florida and it's a different game. I will have to learn how to make Bass lures. I have found the right teacher. Great job.....Bill
Thank you very much, I really appreciate that!
Nice work.
Thank you! Cheers!
100% Goldfish! I learned a lot. Thanks for a great vid!
You are very welcome, thank you for watching!

bro i watch your videos over and over. you are a very beautiful person
Thank you very much, I appreciate it!
Very nice job
Thank you! Cheers!
Loved the talk about whittling when you were a kid, and the skills coming to be useful today! I definitely agree!
Absolutely! I've also been teaching my son to whittle lately.
Yeah I'm 14 and I still carve lures and stuff
Thank you very much beautiful video
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Man this is great ! I just finished whittling out my second ever lure today . My first is a top water popper and the second is a jitterbug lure. They’re crude and painted with rattle can paint but it’s a great feeling to make something with just a pocket knife and some time. Thanks for the great video I’m inspired to get better at it.
Glad to hear from you. Best of luck with your lure making. Thanks for watching!
Making a Wooden Lipless Crankbait / Great video. i love it , stay connected thank you 👏❤️😍

I enjoyed the stories they remind me of my upbringing.
Thanks for watching!
Nice idea with the foil
Thanks, it really gives it a shine that is hard to replicate with paint.
Very nice!
Thanks!
I came here after watching all of Marling Baits videos, the bar for bait making content was set high and you blew past it, I love how you teach while you go and how calm and quiet it is. I subscribed and will be watching all your videos haha.
Thank you Daniel for your kind words, I really appreciate it!
This guy has more skill and is more instructional but not nearly as entertaining as Marling Baits, found myself waiting for him to be funny lol
@@DaveGeelong There's nothin funny bout lure makin...its serious business. Ha! Thanks for watching!
Same as you Daniel!
I agree, I found the channel a few weeks ago, he is very calm and is teaching us while hands on lure making.
I feel the same way about skills you learn as a kid. You always end up going back to the basics. I love whittling. Even if I'm not trying to make anything.
So true, thanks!
You are gifted great job I've enjoyed watching God bless
Thank you very much!
Good job
Thanks!
That's a awesome looking lure
Thanks, I appreciate it!
МАСТЕР своего дела!!!
Восхищаюсь Вашей работой!

I found a nice little trick for placing the eyes. Clip the cotton off the end of a q-tip and glue a small piece of masking tape to it and trim the excess tape around the tip. It holds the eye pretty well so it can be placed accurately.
Thanks for the great vids!
Great idea, thanks for watching!
You have some great ideas awesome video
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
Marvelous job.
Many thanks!
Very good illustration
I appreciate you watching!

I fished the Conejos river in Colorado, staying at a cabin community someone i knew parents owned. i remember never catching anything, but was amazed how fast that water was.
Yes, I've fished the Conejos my whole life and there are plenty of trips I caught nothing. From what we were told, whirling disease got pretty bad there so they stopped stocking it. I saw plenty of fish on that last trip we took which was encouraging.
Just found your channel. Great video! Thank you! Some great tips and ideas. I promise I won’t tell anyone about the foil. 🤣
Tuning in from Adelaide, South Australia. 👍

Absolutely a master sir you are so talented!
Thank you very much!
A little tiny ball of Blu Tack applied to the end of anything thin like a Q tip with the cotton cut off makes picking up the eyes easy every time. Easy does it because it holds Good. Nice lure and thanks for showing us how you like to do it 👍
Thanks for the tip and for watching!
Very good job, bro! Your arms are growing out of the right place!

Great idea 👌 I think I might have to make myself a set, I'm damn sick of my lures slipping around in my vice and if I do it up to tight it dings the wood.looks like a great solution to the problem 👌 great job as always mate 👍😁
Yes, I got by for a long time with duct tape, but I finally got around to a more permanent solution. Thanks for watching!
very prfect
Thanks!
Whaddya call it when you mix all these styles of bait together and leave the lip off? A lip-less Frankenbait!

Thank u for giving such a wonderful video
You are very kind, thank you.
Nice
Thanks!
Good👍👍
Thanks!
Helpful tip. Cut a toothpick in half with a razor, put your glue on a peice of trash hard plastic then use the toothpick to apply the glue to the lure. It will put a perfect little dot of glue for the eyes. Beautiful lures man!!
Thanks for the tip and for watching!
19mins01 ==> Hell yeah!!
Well made!
Thanks!
I’ve done several “pull out” test but always seems to fail.
And I have the kids to prove it!
Nice job well done
Thanks!
My dude... this is sweeet
Many thanks!
It appears your eye package is an assortment of sizes. That would be handy. Where did you get them? Also, if you said what your clear coat is I missed it. I think it’s some type two part epoxy, but not sure
Your workmanship is outstanding. Thanks.
I found those eyes on Amazon. I actually don't remember what clearcoat I was using at the time, but I reccomend either East Coast Resin or TrueCoat which are both 2-part epoxies. I have links to most of the products I use on my website:

Yes but please USE IT! SHOW MEHOW IT ROLLS! 😍
I hear ya; its been tough finding time to go fishing. I was able to catch a couple of small bass on it a few months ago and had a swimming action demonstration on my instagram account. Not sure if it is still on there. Thanks for watching!

Beautiful jobb, really👍👍👍with that time and job I understan the prices for the lures like this. Thanks for a very nice video👌🏻
I appreciate your support!
Please use a vice for the drilling. It makes me nervous...I drilled in my finger once. Went through the glove and I was cutting into steel so I had to clean the shavings out. Anyways just don't want you to get hurt.
Thanks Dustin, I'll be very careful! I appreciate your support!
good
Thanks!
Good Video bro

try using an extra thick version of super glue for the eye. it makes it easier.
Yes it is! It took me a while, but I finally got some. Thanks for watching!
Wow man that was really good, well done it looks awesome
Thanks!
Great job cool looking lure. Try using the gel super glue for the eyes use to have the same problem with eyes as you, until I started using the gel glue worked really good. Again.great work
Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try!
ONE DAY!
:)
Congratulations for your videos and your Channel. I was wondering if you can do a vidio whith the real way of paint lures. I mean, I don’t want to say your videos are not real, what I mean is if you can splain times of wait between surface and surface of Color, how you clean the airbrush when change the colors and this tipe of things that are a big questions for the new People in airbrush world. I know it is more a airbrush lesson them a lure make But at list for me would result really interesting. Really grateful from Spain. And sorry for my english.
Thank you for watching my videos! That is a great suggestion! I do not know how long it will take me to make it, but I will add it to my list of ideas.
Subscribing just by looking at the thumbnails 😍 what's wrong with You Tube they didn't propose any of the video before 🤯 now seat down relax and watch all the videos 👌🥃🍿
Thanks for subbing!
To get better control over the glue for the eye use Disposable Pre-Bent Dispenser Needle Tips
Thanks for the tip and for watching!
Hi there love the carving skills. I have just got into making some lures myself, only started a few months ago and really enjoying it. One thing i noticed was your hands are scar free. Mine after a few weeks look like i been ten rounds with Freddy Krueger. Anyhow practice makes perfect as they say. Going to give this one a try for sure. Great video.
Thank you for watching! I've been carving since I was a kid and have cut myself plenty of times. These days I try to be more careful. I'm happy to hear you are giving this a try. Good luck on your lure making journey!

What type of wood do you prefer to make your lures out of? I’m thinking about attempting to make my own lipless crank bait…
Right now, my favorite wood is basswood because it's easy to carve & holds detail well.
Thank you so much love your work you’ve inspired me to start lure making over the winter months I generally make Native American flutes! May I make a suggestion? CA glue gel for your eyes! Will not run! Thanks again Robert from NJ
Glad to hear from you! I've got to get some of that glue. Good luck on your lures!
@@zimmtex well CA glue is literally just department store super glue if you are wondering. don't look too far my man
Well done! Do you have a video of your spinning lure dryer setup?
