I think this is a very professional tutorial. I learned quite a bit. You took just the right amount of time, giving me time to copy your moves. Really good teaching. Thank you!
I just downloaded Inkscape yesterday since my CS2 doesn't work on my iMac and I wanted to do some vector drawing. Last night I was at a loss. Tonight, I feel like I can draw anything because your bowling pin tutorial was so clean and clear and simple. Thanks so much. It's challenging learning a new program but you have made it so very easy.
Very good tutorial. Inkscape has so many features, its good to see you use many of them in this tutorial. I have been using Inkscape for nearly two years and you taught me some good stuff about the snap tool I did not know. Thanks.
Really nice demonstration with a good coordination between the speek and the action! This is very important for those of us to whom english is a foreign language ;-) The only glich, if I may be so free to notice, is the fact that this does not work in version 0.46. Its important to mention the exact stable version used for the tutorial in the start of the video tutorial! I have now upgraded to version 0.48! Thank you for an exellent educational tutorial video!
Finally someone makes a very well detailed tutorial without any wacky music. Thanks I really appreciate you taking the time to do this for us beginners.
Great tutorial, second time on inkscape and i succeded with a bowling pin thanks to this. If you hadn't have explaind it so clearly this wouldn't have been possible. Thanks!

Could you please make a tutorial to design a car, or how to make car structure ? I thank you so much in advance. Its because, I am working on cars ....,
Just dropping a quick thanks for this series of tutorials you've made. I really enjoyed seeing the snapping tools preferences and settings areas this time. Useful for future use. Nice technique too in this vid, by using a combo of shapes to get a frame for an object silhouette. Cheers all...
@ebblyn After the basic shape was created, you may recall that I set the color to dark brown and added a little blur. Then I made a copy and shrunk it before applying a gradient. Since the dark brown shape is larger, it looks like an outline stroke but it has a little blur added.
Nice video. Really helpful for a beginner with Inkscape AND vector drawing. It would be nice to add some comments on your art styling and why you shade and place the things where they go to get a desired effect. That would make them doubly useful! Thanks
Good night! how to create another radial gradient? because only with a gradient. ¡Buenas noches! cómo crear otro degradado radial? porque yo sólo puedo hacer un degradado.
