At 1 hour and 11 minutes on the counter 1:11:00 I hope Joe remembers what he says about how tyrants are created. He keeps talking about the weirdness of fame, how kings become tyrants because of their absolute power. The Trump Insurgency is that evil he describes. He best speak out against that.

Miley, love your work and your strength to be real and show your authentic, vulnerable self. Inspired my daughter, and many others; I’m sure, to do the same. My dog also used to sing. Perfect pitch too and he definitely had his favourites. Xavier Rudd, Bliss n eso, Eminem and Johnny cash… he just HAD to sing haha. We were a singing house, not TV and he fit right in. I lived in Alaska for 6 years. Everyone told me Bears were scary, dangerous, they’ll eat you Etc Etc… I NEVER Saw one. I went Camping, Hiking, did Shrooms in the woods near a Glacier, saw all kinds of Moose, Porcupine, all kinds of Birds. Not One Single Bear in my 6 years in Alaska. I was BLOWN AWAY by the lack of Bears, with Plethora of warnings and Fears. Made zero sense to me. And a teacher was mauled somewhere while I was there and I was like “WTF? HOW?” 😂
My 8 year old grand daughter wrote a book about coming from a divorced home. It’s about not being in a traditional family. It was the best therapy in the world for her. Some song some write and in Miley’s case, she does both
You can tell she's done a lot of therapy. All her cues come out hard, she's very self aware and recognizes her issues, and how she gets over it. You can see where she mentions an issue and that is aware of it, but is still able to go on the right path after it anyway.
Yea ur absolutely right you said it perfectly. Honestly it’s so dope... really makes me want to start therapy as well. She’s seems so at peace with who she is and what she’s been through. Very wise.
Miley's album Bangerz is what brought me into her music. She had some great party beats but her ballads hit my heart like a dagger. My Momma is a Sagittarius and I always admired her resilience. (Daddy is a Scorpio that kept Dolly spinning on the record player) I had my first daughter in '16 and she came into this world with a heart full of compassion. Her big brother and I have our birthdays back to back (two Virgos) and she is a bull headed Taurean lady ---- with a heart of gold. Her latest jam is Miley's "Flowers". She is going through her first heartbreak. She felt Miley had written that song due to her heartbreak. My Momma explained Miley had her heart broken but she isn't letting that stop her from living her life to the fullest. My daughter suggested this song for me and I was speechless. She found Miley on her own and felt a connection. I told her she is more in touch with her heart than most....she reminds me of her brother. Now, her and her sister (our lone water sign --- Pisces) dance to this tune with their brother. He is their pilot; they need to spin, then spin away! I'm glad Miley is still with us, ever evolving and reaching even the youngest of hearts to soothe the troublesome aches but show that yes: there is a light, shining, waiting to illuminate you as you dance and learn to love yourself again.
Perfectly structured and very impressively written. If you haven’t written a book yet, Spirit is urging me to pass along that information. Follow thru completely and everything is going to change in a big way. No questions, just go do it

Amen Brittany!!! I was just thinking the same thing. he sits back and listens and allows them the space to share without interruption. true active listening at it's truest form. my 15 year old son listens to Joe and now has be hooked. love you joe
That works when he has Miley on, but when he has Milo Yannopolis or Jordan Peterson and lets them preach nonsense unobstructed, there's a problem
0:57 Her voice in a short brought me here 😍❤️
Her raspy voice is everything. 10/10
“Everyone thought i was out of control, right when i finally became in control” - powerful statement

I never really grew up with Miley Cyrus. I never really followed her father's music either. However, ever since Black Mirror, I've gained more and more respect for her. I always liked her music even if I didn't know it was her initially.
Now with her new album and subsequent interviews, I admire her more and more.
What candor and enthusiasm she has!
She's also Hannah Montana
Miley really undersells Dead Petz. That's one of my favorite albums of hers! Honestly, some songs on there still make me cry
"People can poison you with their ideas of who you should be" - joe hitting the nail on the head with that one!!
yes
I love that quote. So true.
Had to run tht back
Hahaha mental illness alcohol and weed lmao Miley's HEAD InJURY
Basically that works like this...
" I wish you were more like me and a lot less like you."
HES WEARING THE SHIRT DAVID CHOE MADE HIM, WHOLESOME
It's friggin awesome
That's so cool
I wish he sold some shirts like this, they look sick

So SICK.... I would kill for a David Choe shirt
1:07:00 me singing “I’m just an ordinary girl” 😂 such a weird duo to me but I love it tbh. Joe is honestly like the supportive spiritual dad I never had
"it's an awesome life" that made me smile today after so many recent issues, thanks for the podcast

Joe: I bet she’ll wear something crazy, I have to match her, where’s my craziest looking shirt at?

Never listened to interview with Miley. Wasn't really into her but great to see how cool she is! You are such a good interviewer Joe and so kind to your guests. Live you!❤
Joe is such an empathetic and understanding father during this conversation
That’s Joe’s move when he’s tryna fuck.
@@JackieHotGirl hahahaha you already know.

@@garystewart9211bruh it’s not 2013 anymore, hop off the Miley hate bandwagon already. 💀

It's a really nice shirt.
I want one! Lol
For real? It looks unique and dope! I want a T-shirt version.
He loves his friends.
I love how you can see his love for joe through the artwork. We can only strive to be as good of a friend as David Choe.
Joe was very fatherly to Miley in this episode and it's honestly so sweet.
Definitely nice 👍🏼. Probably cause he knew her initially from seeing her as a child star from his kids growing up watching her. Nice to see it tho
She's a free spirit and I think she's great
Thank you so much for sharing your vulnerability and how your thought process is! This interview was so beautiful and I appreciate so much! 💗 love it!
Miley Cyrus sounding like a sexy ashtray

This podcast was literally Jo being a good Uncle for 2hours
Or a therapist...
Jay I’m going with therapist, that girl has problems.
+Jay. “...literally...”!
A therapist
I think he is treating her as a child. Instead of listening he keeps giving her life lessons. He comes across as not intelligent enough to realize what he is doing. I just wanted to listen to her perspective and he just wouldn't stop giving his life lessons :)))
Keep shining gorgeous. Thanks Joe for your interesting, thought provoking, interview style. Where you let people be themselves and take them further than they perhaps thought possible. The world needs more people like you (both) in it.
Love this!!!!!!!!! Yes Miley! And I love the way Joe encourages her and almost helping her see that she is a great person who has been through some shit! Finding someone with there own autonomy is vital!
I think Miley's voice suits her.
@Danish Shaikh Nah. She has a unique voice.
Sounds like a heavy smoker
A mid 40s smoker .. yup

Miley's covers are what made me a big fan. She's the same age as my youngest. So I've watchered her grow and mature over the years. Just love her.
Never been a Miley fan but this interview really humanized her. So much respect for her now. Super smart and chill

Definitely wasn't expecting this to be his next guest on here lol.
True, but if you check the intrawebs and forums...you get a heads up

Love this interview! It was so nice to see joe have so much empathy. ❤

I agree. It’s sometimes hard to see the human side to people when all you see is them “being crazy” on the media
@@rosepetal-ov7vl yeh but even if they were really « crazy » it doesn’t mean that they are bad people 😂

I didn’t dislike her I just wasn’t a fan. The constant negative publicity about her may have clouded the judgement, not sure. As to why these podcasts are great cause u get to hear the individual for who they really are

I lived in Alaska for 6 years. Everyone told me Bears were scary, dangerous, they’ll eat you Etc Etc…
I NEVER Saw one.
❤❤❤

No questions, just go do it
@@joeydmx1983 Wow thank you! I just made a comment the other day that I need to write a book. I was waiting on a sign to show me if it would be worth it. I got your reply and about dropped the phone. I grew up with very wise women that tried their best to guide me. That sage wisdom is a dying art. Sometimes, having someone share it with you can create a "lightbulb" moment. Thank you for making me realize I might be able to help someone in need through my writing. Please be safe and have a great day!
