I am a 49 year old girl who comes from a very grounded, very loving family with led by a wise and magnanimous father AND mother... I have always been a philosophical thinker and here I am sitting down and listening to Miley and enjoying learning from this twenty something precious girl. I’ve always believed that only with age comes wisdom but this girl has EXPERIENCED so much and is so inclined to ponder life that she truly has developed a wisdom beyond her age.
One of my favorite parts about this interview is Miley’s reference to the theory of the two voices inside your head not not being you, and that there’s a third party in there who’s actually just an observer, the observer being the self. I’ve never heard of that before, but the way she elaborated her perspective on the theory and how she applies it to her own life put a light in my soul. That’s just one example, but there were SOOOO many gems of knowledge shared between Miley and Zane throughout this entire interview. Two very insightful minds.
there's something so refreshing about her. i understand why people think she's strange, but she embodies what it's like to free yourself from shame and the weight of other peoples opinions and she radiates that. it makes you feel so good about yourself, and let's you consider seeing yourself in a different light too
yes i agree and I know where u all come from with these comments. but maybe u misread my comment. i have never said that Miley was being fake in any way, in fact I have loved her ever since 2013, so the miley i feel in love with was the miley trying to escape her HM role. miley has been through a lot of different eras yes, and i know that she has always been miley, im just not sure how happy she was at those times. i mean even doe miley could change in a year or even maybe tomorrow, i just feel like she is shining the most rn. she has really gotten mature and ofc that comes with growing up. i just feel like she seems happy and that’s what i care about the most. im really sorry if my comment could be misunderstood :)) but all u gotta know is that i fucking love this queen n i would never change my mind even if she’s stoned 24/7 or if she has her life together. miley is miley and as long as she’s happy, im happy! :))
@@thecuantocabronshow5072 she's basically been a rock chick since Hannah montana days, she just hidde it on her albums but live she has always being the same
The two voices and you being the observer in between that Miley talks around 31:00 is a concept from Hindu/Buddhist philosophy. Basically there are several stages to enlightenment: 1) to understand you are not your body, 2) to understand you are not the voices {i.e. thoughts} in your head Miley talks about, 3) to understand you are not the feeling that you feel in your heart, 4) you do meditation/breathing/mantras long enough to stop your thoughts/feelings, 5) after a while of doing 4) you attain enlightenment :)

Miley's career seems like it's at a dead end, she doesn't know what she wants to do and is just throwing everything at the wall hoping it will stick. There's no soul in her music, or these other artists out here. It feels empty
Wow. she is a very prolific speaker, i’m glad she shares that part of her mind with her audience. It’s really meaningful and builds a great connection with her fans.
One of the best artist interviews ever. Decades from now this will be used in documentaries on Miley, she brought so many fresh ideas to the table here and so much insight into this era of her music and life.
Seeing Miley's growth over the years has been incredible. You can have a lot of opinions about her but her lack of care for whatever negative things other people think about her is just something people should admire
I can’t ever get past this interview. This will always be in my heart and inspire me to do more and more music. Miley has been my top tier inspiration since I was eight years old and she will always be in my heart rent free until she’s physically making songs with me.
Miley is one of the few people who I will sit down and give my full attention to. Her mind is so fascinating and her process is so interesting and I love it. Zane's interviews are the best. He's so thoughtful, respectful and it always feels like an intelligent discussion. Miley is so interesting to listen to, so well spoken. Sooo good.

Bc I think whether its ur parents, generational, the way ur raised we're all just an equation of all those things adding up."

The way this interview hit me is different. ❤️ “Every day I say goodbye to myself and I'm not the same on the next day. Everything changes me forever everyday.” The level of emotional intelligence Miley has... it's breathtaking. And I totally agree with what she said about love and how all humans look for a partner and doesn't pay attention for the love we have all around us in our life. Also the sense of what the family built x what you want for you. Thank you so much for this interview, Miley ❤️
I've literally been a "fan" since Hannah Montana lol and i agree with what she said about fans/audience like i don't feel like a fan i feel more connected to her then that. I love her so much.
This girl is so relatable. I was never a hannah montana girl growing up. Im in my mid 30s now and I have become such a fan of this woman over the last few years. Huge props to the interviewer for being so down to earth and asking such clever things, while still creating a comfortable environment where he also offers up his own stuff to bounce off of. *Felt really genuine on his and her part.*

She's so articulate and I love how she kept drawing parallels and bringing the conversation full circle which makes this seem more like a conversation and less like an interview! I also love Zane for giving her this platform to just talk without him interrupting her and sort of letting her take the lead while asking her natural follow-up questions instead of having it like a disjointed Q & A, unlike what most interviewers tend to do to artists

She is 30
One of my favorite parts about this interview is Miley’s reference to the theory of the two voices inside your head not not being you, and that there’s a third party in there who’s actually just an observer, the observer being the self. I’ve never heard of that before, but the way she elaborated her perspective on the theory and how she applies it to her own life put a light in my soul. That’s just one example, but there were SOOOO many gems of knowledge shared between Miley and Zane throughout this entire interview. Two very insightful minds.
this interview is so human. makes me feel human again. like everything we do is human. we don’t have to be ashamed of ourselves
there's something so refreshing about her. i understand why people think she's strange, but she embodies what it's like to free yourself from shame and the weight of other peoples opinions and she radiates that. it makes you feel so good about yourself, and let's you consider seeing yourself in a different light too
she means the world to me. biggest inspiration ever.
Miley is really showing her true colors now. She is truly being herself. We love a confident and caring queen!!
She was always being her through the years lol she’s never been fake
@@sagescribner yess, everytime people said same thing. miley always tries new eras but she is being herself. she is miley.
She always has but I think staying sober has helped a lot
yes i agree and I know where u all come from with these comments. but maybe u misread my comment. i have never said that Miley was being fake in any way, in fact I have loved her ever since 2013, so the miley i feel in love with was the miley trying to escape her HM role. miley has been through a lot of different eras yes, and i know that she has always been miley, im just not sure how happy she was at those times. i mean even doe miley could change in a year or even maybe tomorrow, i just feel like she is shining the most rn. she has really gotten mature and ofc that comes with growing up. i just feel like she seems happy and that’s what i care about the most. im really sorry if my comment could be misunderstood :)) but all u gotta know is that i fucking love this queen n i would never change my mind even if she’s stoned 24/7 or if she has her life together. miley is miley and as long as she’s happy, im happy! :))
But what happened to her voice?
She's really well-spoken and intelligent, feels like I know her better now. Amazing human & amazing talent
She is so wise for her age. I hope she writes a book.
She’s at the top of her game right now. QUEEN!

She seems so chill and down to earth given how much she’s accomplished in her life and how talented she is.
I am so impressed by the way Miley describes distancing herself from the voices in her head. Thank you so much for that.
She’s already a legend
She is 💞

Honestly kinda hope she sticks with this whole rock sound and aesthetic. It really suits her
She changes so much every era so we'll see
@@thecuantocabronshow5072 she's basically been a rock chick since Hannah montana days, she just hidde it on her albums but live she has always being the same

we all want that, this is the cersion of Miley we all been waiting for years.
I love that " The minute you were born, it's YOUR journey."
Quite literally one of the most inspirational and eye opening discussions I’ve ever watched. So very deep. Rich in life lessons, skills and betterment
the sagittarius energy she exudes is INSANE

@@theactualtruth4951 how ironic your name says the actual truth are you’re lying
@@dominikg8500 The only people lying are y'all, so delusional lol. Miley's career seems like it's at a dead end, she doesn't know what she wants to do and is just throwing everything at the wall hoping it will stick. Delusional stans say that about every new album that comes out, but usually they're just exaggerating because the music that's being released is so trash. There's no soul in her music, or these other artists out here. It feels empty
This girl has depth!!!
Wow. she is a very prolific speaker, i’m glad she shares that part of her mind with her audience. It’s really meaningful and builds a great connection with her fans.
She is just creating history for herself just like legends do
One of the best artist interviews ever.
Her life went through a full circle moment. I feel like she’s exactly where she is meant to be in her career! Great album ❤️
I can’t ever get past this interview. This will always be in my heart and inspire me to do more and more music. Miley has been my top tier inspiration since I was eight years old and she will always be in my heart rent free until she’s physically making songs with me.
Miley is one of the few people who
I will sit down and give my full attention to. Her mind is so fascinating and her process is so interesting and I love it. Getting to grow up from a young child to now being a 23 year old and seeing her growth as a woman and an artist has been one of the best experiences.
1 hour with Miley. That's what I deserve 🖤
What would you do
This is the kind of interview that I can watch for an hour and don't feel like I wasted time.
I feel like I am friends with Miley from this one interview am I the only 1 ?!
I love how relaxed and chill she is

Every "deep Miley interview" makes me sure that we actually grew up with each other, especially mentally. We really think the same way, idk how it happened, maybe being a fan for approximately 10 years?!
omg yes
I feel the same way! I feel so conected to her and to what she's talking about, most of those topics are about the same issues i've been passing thorugh this last years.. She's like a friend! Love her so much, she's so inspiring!
Truly man!
Yessss! heavily relate this
I agree I was thinking the same thing, haven’t really been keeping up with her but after hearing her reminds me why I’ve lived her so much
Every time this woman has these types of interviews I always find myself reaching for a pen and paper..she is so wise
This was a whole therapy session
17:40 “what’s the scariest thing you’ve done and got through?”
This question really sat with me and made me reflect on the times in my life I truly didn’t know if I’d make it through
She literally speaks so well and is in tune with her emotions. Love this !
This is going to be her best album !!! She's so honest to herself , so unique ! She's literally the most versatile artist of this generation !!
I Love You Miley ❤️ 🇵🇪

Zane's interviews are the best. He's so thoughtful, respectful and it always feels like an intelligent discussion. Miley is so interesting to listen to, so well spoken. Sooo good.
*Miley's speaking voice* reminds me of *Dolly Parton.* Their voices are completely different, but both have *that charismatic sound* in their voice that makes you wanna *listen for hours on end.*
Tennessee
shes way too real!!! this man is the best interviewer of all time like artist are never more real than w Zane
5:07 "I am not the person I was yesterday. Last night cutting with Stevie Nicks on the phone-that changed me forever. Everything changes me forever. I will never be who I was yesterday, in a way that every night before I go to sleep I say goodbye to myself-because that person is done. There's a sadness to it sometimes bc I do evolve very quickly bc I'm very absorbant, and recently I've had to do an inventory of what I've owned as mine that isn't mine. Bc I think whether its ur parents, generational, the way ur raised we're all just an equation of all those things adding up."

Hey what does it mean “cutting with” someone ?
@@MisguidedDem Cutting a song (producing) together... they have a song on Miley’s new album
I literally grew up with this girl. Since Hannah Montana. I’m so glad that she has found her genre. Her voice fits so well with it to the point where her songs, like prisoner, basically her recent album is like really catchy to me and lots of people. It’s amazing. I’m so proud 💓
I would love to sit down with her one day and have a conversation like this. I could listen to her talk for hours, she's such an intelligent person
I love listening to her. Her voice is so captivating.
For real!! I could listen to her speak (and sing obviously) for hours.
I love that she has now found her REAL sound. This girl is highly intelligent and not in a way where she is trying to impress anyone, she just shares her true thoughts and beliefs. One of the most real celebs out there!
I revisit this interview all the time. Her self awareness and ability to absorb & apply new things is wild ...... SO inspiring
"Don't get Furious get curious.
Don't be mad at yourself but ask yourself what happen"
i think... everybody would just sit and listen to miley's voice for ever
I'm not Miley's fan, I just like to listen to her songs from time to time, but, everyone needs to have this kinds of person in their life. Supportive, talkative, open-minded, actually NOT SPOILED, full of ideas. Makes you want to be a better person tomorrow, especially in this era of technology and social media. Man, I just want to listen to her talking about these things because it makes me feel motivated to be and do better. Great job Miley! Keep it up and be a true icon to the young ones so they can learn what actually matters in life and about themselves through your experience.
Funny how nobody is a big fan but...
@@tarot_imago lol I didn't even mention BIG, yes, I don't know all of her songs nor almost anything about her personal life, I just listen to her songs and like some of them, respect her as a human being and singer, that's it. Not a fan :D
@@tia9710I understand you. I just don't understand why Americans can't see that she has become a very interesting woman and a high quality artist and singer. Her version of Slide Away at VMA 2019 is sublime. I am Brazilian born in 1958 and yes, I am a big fan! Greetings from Brazil!
She is a huge inspiration for me partly cause she is herself a breath of fresh air from most celeberties that seems very fake. She is just the way she is and I love it she is so cool
"We remember the past better than it was, present worse than it is and future more resolved than it ever will be" so true, something to keep always in mind!
100% IN LOVE WITH HER VOICE, HER PERSONALITY, AND HER CONFIDENCE
Her soul is so unique and down to earth. I feel like she’s someone who could understand me better than anyone else. I appreciate her for who she is and always will. I have so much love for her.
Last year when Miley came to Kosovo to sing on Dua’s festival, 18 yo me had to lie to my parents and escape from the country, just to see them live for the first time! There was a war between 🇽🇰Kosovo and 🇷🇸Serbia 20 years ago and people are still frightened. Surprisingly, I was nicely welcomed by Albanians, made memorble friendships and had the best time EVER, because, as Miley said, music connects people! 💕
❤️❤️❤️❤️
That is a ballsy epic story!
Just listen i love dua homesick n also miley the climb the lyrics are there as you said its all through the music 🐺🦇
❤❤❤
Yeah generally the victim country would be frightened, but we aren’t unkind to people who acknowledge the truth. Im happy you had a good time :)
She is incredibly insightful and original. Kudos, Miley, for being authentic.
It feels like the interviewer is proud of Miley for finding her voice
I need this interview to be about 923405 hours longer than it is. She is incredibly eloquent person, I could listen to her forever, especially that I am in a constant process of learning English and feeling comfortable speaking in this language.
the world owes this legend an apology. go girl!
she's so in touch with herself... an icon
Huge props to the interviewer for being so down to earth and asking such clever things, while still creating a comfortable environment where he also offers up his own stuff to bounce off of. *Felt really genuine on his and her part.*
Oh yeah a great guy who constantly cut her off and interrupted her 😀
5:08 "I am not the person I was yesterday. [...] Everything changes me forever. I will never be who I was yesterday. [...] Every night before I go to sleep, I say goodbye to myself, in a way, because, it's like: 'That person's done.'"
21:18
She's so articulate and I love how she kept drawing parallels and bringing the conversation full circle which makes this seem more like a conversation and less like an interview!
I also love Zane for giving her this platform to just talk without him interrupting her and sort of letting her take the lead while asking her natural follow-up questions instead of having it like a disjointed Q & A, unlike what most interviewers tend to do to artists
i love how honest she is... it’s things like this that make me proud to be a miley fan
miley looks so stunning, I have missed her!!!! This new era has really captured my heart, I'm so excited for the album.
This interview was so facinating to watch. Miley is truly one of the greats of her time.
One of the best interviews I've seen lately, seriously. She seems so spiritually awakened and really human. I'm Sagittarius as well, I've been learning my lessons through life and evolving, but after watching this interview I've learned even more.
She is so intelligent and I'm so glad to have grown up with her and watch her whole career. She's an ICON
