These old game shows bring back memories of these short-lived shows that almost everybody has forgotten. ABC was obviously trying to give them a boost. Of course, _Taxi_ and _Eight is Enough_ were also on ABC.
Regarding the acceptance of clues that might've otherwise been judged illegal, perhaps the producers were more lenient because everyone was playing for charity.
I think a charity event for also promotion of the ABC new fall schedule (I do recall they did this a couple of times during the ABC Clark years) allowed a little leeway.
The rules are applied inconsistently on this show. When the girl said football as a clue for baseball she got dinged. Sometimes they allow clues like that.
I’m here because of Rob Lowe’s autobiography, “Stories I Only Tell My Friends.” Thanks for posting this!
13:35 Oh, my God, that part *GUTTED* me!
I love this show. Thanks for sharing.
There was a Saturday morning version of the Hollywood square called the storybook squares in 1969.

David Hollander was in _Airplane!_ He was also on _What's Happening!_
First WC, the clue giver said Police Man. That should have been buzzed for being synonymous with Cop.
Rob Lowe: Best. Hair. Ever.
builttrainer Will this pyramid show ever see the light of day? Never saw it when it aired.
What year was this
apparently this was from '79
wished they made Junior pyrmaid into a regular series for like a Saturday morning slot
I could see that, especially for the $2500/$5000 they would do on civilian Junior Partner Pyramid (parent/child).
Wish they used those dollar amounts on the daytime show
A Sony Pictures TV production. Rob Lowe completed the Winner's Circle in half a minute.
Olivia and rob were very serious about being perfect
Rob talks about this show in his book but never says the redhead name but he said Olivia was hot and came on to him
Muff up on the tie breaker, ballerina for ballet and on winner's circle sorry Susan "What a cop says" she said policeman (synonymous)
I'm a policeman? C'mon judges
I think David Hollander was in "Airplane" (as the boy with the coffee)
Yes.
Huh. I remembered that Lauren Tewes, later of Love Boat, was the sick girl, but I didn't remember this!
@@JayTemple the sick girl in Airplane was Jill Whelen who played Capt. Stubing's daughter
I remember this
Isn't policeman a synonym for cop? That should have been buzzed.

Charity events, this was also a promo for ABC fall shows about to start, so a good feel and the checks could be made out to some good charities.
Think ABC did this in prime time in September of 1979.
Soon thereafter the game show’s announcer would die at sixty-one (Bob Clayton).
