My docent took me downstairs where there were rare cheeses, wines, salami and so many goodies. It was like nothing I had found in the states and I brought it back in my suitcase with me to savor every drop. I am so excited you shared this company. I look forward to trying it. And, the best part is the cost. That is not a bad price for real, aged Balsamic. Happy Holidays!

The Turkey may get pride of place but come on y'all we know it's all about the sides! These two are definitely making it to the table this year...fresh, colorful, easy to make, beautiful on the table not to mention no doubt delicious! Gonna be making the butternut squash dish for tomorrow. Will edit back to say how it went. edit: I made it a couple days ago and it was delicious. Also it was my first time eating quinoa but I loved the taste of the roasted butternut squash, i've been obsessed with autumn squash soup so I love the roasty taste. Had to make a couple substitutions but it was delicious, my mom enjoyed it. This is great cause my dad is diabetic so he's been upset about limiting his diet options- he didn't need to with this salad cause it met a lot of his diabetic requirements and he hasn't needed to not enjoy food. (I know the butternut squash recipe had some sugar content cause it included maple syrups and the cranberries are a healthy option).
These are wonderful options, that are not among the hot foods served, that will satisfy those who do not want more potatoes or stuffing or casseroles with cream sauces or cheeses in them. Many do not like the tang and crunch of some cranberry relishes and I believe these will provide that counterpoint to the potential heaviness of gravies, roasted meats, root veggies.
Beautiful salads! The second one seems to especially shout Autumn and Thanksgiving with its colors, textures and the use of squash and cranberries. Speaking of the cranberries, are these cranberries or craisins? They don’t look like raw cranberries, but I also don’t see very well! 😀 I’m going to give the broccoli salad a try (but just for me for dinner soon, not T-day). It’s more along the lines of sketching I could eat myself. I’m hanging onto the butternut squash one for future group dinners!
