Want to know what mystery puzzle I was talking about at the end? That video is up now! ruclips.net/video/q_xTtHfI_-o/видео.html
I personally don't even like doing puzzles, but I LOVE listening to people talk about their hobbies, passions, and collections. I love how passionate you are!
I agree. Do you or anybody have channel recommendations for other personalities with similarly passionate collections and hobbies? As of recently I’ve been watching a lot of Lego content for that reason
@@0x13horizon4I love watching people’s like Diamonds and Washi here on RUclips or Baylee Jae
I love it, but it’s an expensive hobby so can’t afford to do it😢 I really want at least one of the big ones.
@@0x13horizon4 I love Plumbellas Sims videos, but... She's a lot more unhinged than Karen, be warned. Very chaotic energy compared to Karen 😂
this is so accurate!
I really appreciate how up front you are about sponsorships and gifts (even if it’s just an oddly gifted puzzle from a telephone company from 3 months ago ). It’s very rare to see on RUclips and is much appreciated!
I know in the grand scheme of things, this stuff isn't that expensive, but a lot of them are pricy for jigsaw puzzles, so I always think it's important to disclose what was gifted and what I spent money on. I'm so lucky to be in this position and don't want to jeopardize it by not being upfront with all of you.
@@KarenPuzzles I think you are also very lucky to have a huge community who cares about you and your hobby. I know if I had some old puzzles, that aren't kid related, I would at least contact you to see if any interest.
It's great because way too many try to be sneaky about sponsorships.
Isn't that the law?
The Berlin puzzle from Ravensburger is so interesting, because it was published only three years after the Berlin Wall was build. So it shows the newly divided city which is kind of an important (and sad) time of history for us germans.
UPDATES: I looked through my whole Eaton archive and can’t seem to match up that random piece with any of the puzzle images. Becca was passing along these puzzles from someone else she got them from, so she's also trying to work out where the rogue piece came from, but if anyone recognizes the puzzle, please let us know!
Also, I got a bit mixed up talking about that stack of vintage puzzles. The one that I didn’t realize was an Eaton was Sew N Sew, because I did that one entirely without looking at the box. The thimbles puzzle I did know was an Eaton because I had to consult the box quite a bit. I’m sorry for spreading misinformation 😂
@karenpuzzles is my favorite!
Vintage! Fun video and nice haircut (snuck in there at the end.)
3:54 Guarantee "If not fully satisfied, return us twice your money and we will send you an empty box. " 🤣🤣
I'm so glad you're still able to just do puzzles for fun and aren't burned out with even the idea of doing puzzles beyond for your channel.
I buy quilt fabric the way you buy puzzles. It's OKAY!!!
But I also have overflowing boxes of fabric as well as all of the puzzles 🤦🏻♀️
Girl same!
I love seeing other people's collections, makes me feel better about my baseball cards and fountain pens. And also my fabric for handkerchiefs. And my fabric scraps for an as-of-yet-unstarted scrap quilt.
My mum just said, "I have a cupboard full of puzzles in my quilt room." I'm sensing a theme. 😂
"Vintage". Anime (and Manga) is 'Demon Slayer:Kimetsu no Yaibba' ( translates to Demon Slayer: Blade of Demon Destruction) - the Boar headed character is 'Inosuke Hasibira' he is a human Demon Hunter, wearing a hollowed out boars head mask. The other character is 'Zenitsu Agatsuma'.
Hoping Karen gets into KNY cuz it’s a really good anime genuinely!
Thank you so much for sharing the Color Therapy Collection, Karen! We knew you would love this collection😉❤ Enjoy!
Puzzles remind me of my FIL. He passed away in Feb but during covid he build this puzzle for me that I had a hard time putting together. I have it hung up in my office as he put it in a frame. I'm so happy I have that.
I'm impressed that you had these boxes waiting for as long as you did before opening them. In my house, my boys open every package within 30 seconds of delivery. 🤣🤣
Omg! Ive been watching you for almost 2yrs now. And im from the Philippines, me and my daugjyer love your videos! It never occured to me that there's a puzzle assoc here. I'll check them out! And it's true what the host said during the recent tournament. You're 1 of the reason why the people interested in puzzling soared high! 💯💯💯
“All Fungi are edible.
Some fungi are only edible once.”
― Terry Pratchett
My 34th birthday is this Saturday and as a present to myself, I bought one of your 1000 piece puzzles! Just now starting it! 💚
Happy birthday!
@@KarenPuzzles thank you so much 😊 I love your videos!
The Barbie puzzle HAS TO be a Trixie Mattel collab video!
Trixie was doing tons of vintage Barbie content on her RUclips channel.
I wish!! That would be the ultimate puzzle video. I had a dream a few weeks back that I was filming a puzzle video with Miss Vanjie 😂
Trixie is actually taking a break from the internet all together rn and she may not return to making RUclips videos
My kids have a few current Ravensburger 3x49 piece puzzles and they still do the stripe, polka dot, and blank backs for sorting. Super fun! I guess I need to keep an eye out for some of those VINTAGE ones when I go thrifting!
Since watching your videos, I've found so much joy in putting together vintage puzzles. I found a Springbok puzzle from the 1960s of the state of Minnesota (my home state), and another Springbok puzzle of horse jumping that I saw on an episode of The Brady Bunch that I recognized. The quality of the puzzles is incredible.
I'm entering my first ever speed puzzling competition this Saturday and it's all thank to Karen! I can't wait!
“Finished” might be optimistic hahaha, a true collector can never stop!!
Well, I finished one small collection within the collection 😂
@@KarenPuzzles and that’s the best feeling! great video as always🩷
You: I finished my puzzle collection!
Me, a collector: 😂😂 See ya in three months for your next haul.
Correction: I finished one four-puzzle collection 😂
Such an incredible haul! I especially loved the vintage ones. Looking forward to more delightful surprises from you in the future. Thank you!
The paperweights puzzle is one I remember from my childhood! We visited Corning Museum of Glass and my mom picked it up in the gift shop. It is such a fun puzzle! I found it again a few years ago and loved it as much as an adult as I did when I was a kid.
I bought that vintage Barbie puzzle a few months ago unopened at a local thrift store for only $3 😳 I still have not opened yet. So it is cool you have too.
I remember those jigsaw puzzles that came in a can. Had a few when I was a kid in the 1970's. Had Frankenstein, a dinosaur one and Superman.
Those indies puzzles looks so good! I'm so happy to see the oakland puzzle's compagny, but i wish they had the possibility to have the choice between having their design with 1000 pieces instead of 500
(sorry for my bad english, i speak french)
i wonder if they ship to canada too, im in love with their dog puzzle from Brian Clark.
fun fact, i actually started puzzling because of you karen! you showed me that a puzzle doenst have to be boring! This year i've done 6 puzzle of 1000 pieces and im so proud of it!
I really enjoy the new puzzle unboxings. I finally tried Eeboo after seeing them on your channel for so long and I really enjoyed the one I did. I ordered 2 more already! Please keep showing us the casual puzzles that we can buy also!
I gasped when a Stockholm puzzle was included! It's hard to find good Swedish themed puzzles. I will say though, the boat chilling in the middle of Stortorget made me laugh since there's no water in that plaza lol.
I enjoy watching your videos and seeing the different vintage and antique puzzles is a very cool part of history. There are some vintage puzzles at the senior apartments I work at and I always feel sad when I see some put together with pieces missing.
Your passion for puzzles is wonderful Karen 🫶🏼
Sometimes I’m on eBay and I see some cool vintage puzzles and wonder if I should buy them just for collector’s sake. I’ve done it once and the experience of doing the vintage puzzle is not the same as doing a modern puzzle for me personally. I’d much rather these puzzles go to homes like yours. Your joy and appreciation and manufacture knowledge is much more rewarding, so never feel bad for accumulating these puzzles. They belong to enthusiasts like you as far as I’m concerned!
yeah I also think vintage puzzles are boring and uninteresting to solve myself. Karen can have them all xD
i absolutely love these haul videos and I'm glad that you finally were able to complete your super challenge series! That's so exciting!!! Also because of you, your videos, and your positivity, I got into jigsaw puzzles so thank you!!
I have been doing/re-doing my parents vintage jigsaws. There are about 25 kids and adult puzzles from the 1950's through to 1991. I remember doing these as a child and teenager. Some of them were still taped from a move 40 years ago! I have also recently purchased one of "The Edge" puzzles called "Positively Cattails", loved it!!!
I was so thrilled to see your new old/vintage puzzle for 1964!! Loved it and yes, it was a very good year☺️
Video idea! Pour out all the single color challenge puzzles. Flip every piece so the backside is up. Solve four puzzles then flip them and see how the colors are distributed! (This assumes they all have the same back and same cut lol)
I think that would take me about a year to finish 😭
Remind me not to do that when I’m drunk
@@KarenPuzzles Well, if you ever run out of giant puzzles and are craving a massive project-- XD
Sounds cool, but you can see the colour on the sides of the pieces even when flipped, so it would not be a surprise
My three year old has the frozen equivalent of that Sleeping Beauty puzzle and they're still doing the dots, stripes and plain backing! It's cool to see how good design lasts.
Dear Karen, I just got you a few vintage Ravensburger with that special brand logo to send over as a present, you do a lot for your subscribers, so I can give back a little bit from Germany! ❤❤❤❤. I will email you details. 🎉 Code vintage!
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the wonderful vintage puzzles. Thank you for sharing. Some years ago, I was fortunate to find one of Hallmark's fabric puzzles, "Contented Cat" (long-haired calico cat with gorgeous flowers) in a thrift shop and I snapped it up. The pieces have a fantastic fit and wonderful feel. Someone on reddit posted a picture of the completed puzzle referring to it as a Hallmark fabric puzzle without the puzzle name. I've worked and collected puzzles since the 1960s. If I had to leave my home and could only take one puzzle with me, this is the one I would grab on the way out !
Wow your vintage puzzle collection is amazing!
I‘m so jealous of the 1964 Ravensburger Berlin puzzle. That is for me the coolest puzzle I ever seen in your videos. I’m from Berlin and just grabbed a new one recently when I was visiting.
You are going to have such a great time doing all of your vintage puzzles!
Great video Karen! Glad you liked "Love Burst", that was so fun to put together!
Haul. Excitement. Puzzle. Another puzzle. Dozen puzzles. Hundred puzzles. And then, more puzzles.
All *vintage* Karen 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🧩🧩🧩🧩🧩
I've done a couple of those. Have fun! Also, vintage.
All I want in life is for someone to love me the way Karen loves puzzles 😂
I loved your "Vintage" puzzles. I can't explain it but for someone who doesnt do puzzles, I still enjoy all your videos. Thanks
The magnetic jigsaw cube represent not playing cards, but poker dice! It plays kind of like a cross between poker and yahtzee.
I love all those beautiful vintage puzzles you've collected (as well as the new ones!) The one with the hat & the ribbons is so gorgeous! 🧵🧩🧶
Love those mini puzzles ... thank you for another great video! Vintage.
I was able to purchase some really cool vintage puzzles at an estate sale recently. It’s been so much fun learning more about collecting puzzles! Thanks Karen!
Your excitement holding each puzzle is like a child in a sweet shop💕 love your channel💕
Wow these are some really cool vintage puzzles can’t wait for the videos when you solve them. Sending love ❤ and thank you for posting such great videos 😊
Inspired by your videos, I acquired my very own vintage Springbok puzzle a couple moths ago: it's "Undersea Enchantment", my most favourite of them all. It was not cheap getting it all the way to Germany 😅 It is so beautiful!
The 1964 Ravensburger Puzzle is about Berlin (Kurfürstendamm one of the "elite" shopping miles of the city). One can see the Europa center (the shiny skyscraper) that was brand new then. The rest of the street shows still damage by the war and lots of modern buildings substitute the old one that were wrecked in the 2nd WW.
I have the fabric Hallmark one I found thrifting. It’s missing a piece of the vase but really fun to do. A soft ‘snap’ when pieces connect. Very satisfying.
I would love to find the Tea Time one.
I've been inspired to look up puzzles from my childhood! I LOVE the James Christensen puzzles, like Rhyme and Reason etc. I think I might have to carefully peruse and try and pick up a collection for myself :)
Great use of the Boy Meets World clip😊
Glad you were able to get so many _vintage_ pizzles, I love the crafty themed ones!🧵
Vintage! I'm so jealous! Springbok Mystic Ovoid is on my wish list too! 😊 I absolutely love watching you do all these unique puzzles and frankly, drowning in eeBoo sounds like a dream! ❤❤❤
Code word is Vintage and I enjoyed this video and the positive vibe you radiate, Karen!
Ohmygod that fabric puzzle unlocked a lost childhood memory! I think I had that exact one!!
Scrolling through the comments, plenty of vintage, haven’t spotted anyone mentioning your hair cut! Looks great.
I’m really interested in the cubic puzzle ! ❤ thanks for sharing your beautiful vintage collection
I liked so many of these puzzles. :) cant wait to see videos of you doing them.
I love vintage art and i would frame some of the vintage puzzles if the colour scheme works in my space
I love to see all those vintage puzzles. But I also like to see the new ones... 🤩
Wow, that is such a great puzzle haul, thank you for sharing. Vintage!
I’m so happy to watch your haul videos- you are so knowledgeable and obviously have so many puzzle officianado friends who love you too - keep doing exactly what you’re doing it’s so interesting to get to know about your vintage collections
Thanks for sharing your puzzle haul. I am looking forward to hearing more about the vintage puzzle with all of the edges. 😊
Oh I love all the vintage puzzles and too complete a serie is so satisfying! Great video!
The Sleeping Beauty puzzle is not from 1971, it's from the mid 1980s, (check inside of the lid to find the year & month).
For all Ravensburger made 1984 and later you can find a month & date code inside the lid.
Good to know! I'll have to look more closely inside the lids!
That was so much fun to watch and learn from!!
Vintage- great videos.......love the puzzles you reviewed. Your one that people know would keep and value old puzzles. Great haul. 🎉
Great vintage video Karen !
You definitely gotta write a book about puzzles, your collection, puzzle history, and what-not. I would LOVE to read that :o
It seems that ravensburger started doing blue corners somewhere in between 1973 and 1974. My 1974 one has blue corner, old shaped wavy pieces with green back, and the box said that it should also include glue
What a great Vintage haul! I may have to keep my eye out for one of the magnetic puzzles. They look like a lot of fun to do.
You're so inspirational ! I love the vintage puzzles....
i hope the red terror proves to be more fun than the Heinz Puzzle 😂
Someday I'll have to rate all of my solid red puzzles after I solve them all!
So fascinating. And usually I just marvel at you and all those rate or small or difficult puzzles you do, but this time, I actually had one myself. The kids sleeping beauty one. I remembered only when seeing you open it.
What a haul, including an impressive vintage stack from Becca! I've actually owned several similar puzzles (e.g. a different old Rav with the old logo, a 3-pack cinderalla, and that sewing eaton. All gone now though!) I loved that we got the Demon Slayer Paper Theater kits. Partly because I love doing those paper kits and partly because I love Demon Slayer. I had almost bought them so many times, so it really worked out for me!
Loved seeing all your VINTAGE puzzles! I think the mystery puzzle is... a rollerblade that actually rolls (lol I have no idea)
Fun haul "Vintage" puzzles video. Thanks Karen. I really enjoyed watching all of your competition videos from the last couple of years!
Oh I have some of these old Ravensburger puzzles with stripes, dots and clear back sides too! In general, the puzzles you got from Monika all feel somewhat familiar to me. I have a lot of puzzles released in germany around the 2000s, a few 90s, maybe one or two 80s, but I don't keep a clear track of what these are and where exactly I have them. Most are placed safely on the attic.
Oh wait I will think we do actually have the 2nd one that you've shown from Monika, but I don't remember it being from the 60s. Could be a super similar looking image from the 80s or 90s or a re-release.
I really enjoyed your video and your energy. When you showed the crossword box I thought of a puzzle a friend gave me. It’s a jigsaw that is a crossword once you put it together. Thanks for a fun look at all those puzzles!
I did a whole video a while ago about all of the different jigsaw crosswords I could find!
I will look for that one!
those octagonal puzzles seem like a great idea for a puzzle shape. certainly a different twist on doing it and im sure they might be a little hard at first to wrap your head around.
Regarding the solid color puzzles..in the mid 70's I saw one that was a big pink circle! 500 pieces 😄
Can't wait to see you solve these!!
I am looking forward to seeing all of these puzzles!
I love your videos! I don’t think I’ve ever commented, but I really enjoy watching!
Saw the title and thought "Did Little Blue Boy FINALLY come home?" 😂
I wish!!
That’s what I was hoping for as well!
Woah, I have the Stitch in Time image on a puzzle labeled Kodak! It was my favorite puzzle as a kid, and I bought it again as an adult, inspired by your vintage collection.
The cube jigsaw puzzle with the cards is a royal flush in Poker. The challenge of the vintage puzzles is finding them in good enough condition. Do you try to recycle the boxes or at least reuse them? I wonder if your mail delivery person, whoever you use, thinks "what kind of puzzle is it this time?" when you get all of those packages.
This is just the perfect video for a relaxing rainy sunday
So exciting! I can't wait to find the last toy I need to finish one of my collections! I haven't seen one on ebay in over 2 years and I missed that one!!! Lol
after every haul video like this, i have to go to my fav puzzle selling website and window shop for a while haha.
the lazels one are so pretty omg!! and puzzle love? i need to check their designs out!
Good addition to what will eventually become 2024 vintage! Good year :)
Lol! When I read the title, I thought you finished putting together all your vintage puzzles... I was expecting a very different video! 😂
I got Ravensburgs 1000 pieces "Bikes In Amsterdam" as a present. Never touched it, but after binging her videos the last week, I am dedicated to puzzle it to complete.
I myself being an antique love everything vintage! Lol
Great video. Love sharing your joy!
